It's called Basilisk II, and it's free. You can download it at http://www.pona.net/basilisk/ "In short, it takes any Windows computer running Win9x, Linux or Win2K, and allows it to run as a 68K Mac in a window," says Mel Patrick of Wabbit Wanch Design. "All that is needed is a Mac ROM image and since those are plentiful enough on the 'Net, getting the whole thing up and running is actually quite easy. Users can download System 7.5.3 from Apples site and install it while running in the Virtual Mac emulator. Moving files from the Mac to the PC and back is also done the same way as Connectix VPC does it." A user can also buy OS 8, or 8.1 and that will run in the Basilisk II Mac emulator as well, although the author notes that there may be some bugs, Patrick says.
