Not as thorough or useful as advertised
Those who have developed a facility for researching information on the internet and determining which sources are legitimate and reliable will find little to take away from this book. Those who find this book useful should not be lulled into thinking that this is a comprehensive guide, either; it is not. It doesn't help that the editors themselves appear to have little to do in the field of skeletal dysplasias. Taking the time to develop skills for researching information whether it's in a brick-and-mortar library or in the Internet is far more rewarding in the long run. This is a well written refence book for all those involved inprenatal diagnosis and counseling of pregnant women with a suspectedor known fetal problem. It is concise, offers acurate informationregarding numerous conditions, the follow up during pregnancy,necessary testing prenatally and postnatally, recurrence risks andwhat patients can expect after the birth of their child. Short People
This book is a lovely bookshelf book for the rellies and friends of people with dwarfism in the family.Its easy reading for the siblings/cousins/neighbors children, etc., and gives them a simple explanation of the problems short people need to overcome, but also gives shows the determination of people with any kind of handicap, to overcome and never feel less than their fellowman.

An inspiration!!
This is definitely a book you want to have in your home if you have children of any ages. And definitely a must for every classroom. The book addresses the everyday issues faced by short statured people, through the eyes of a very unique, intelligent and well rounded young man. A young man, like countless other short statured people in the world, that have not let their height hold them back. This dynamic young man obviously has a shining future ahead of himself. Mr. Roscoe looked around him with exultation.

"And all this may be mine," he said to himself, "if I am only bold. What is it old Pindar says? 'Boldness is the beginning of victory.' I have forgotten nearly all I learned in school, but I remember that. There is some risk, perhaps, but not much, and I owe something to my son---"

He was interrupted by the entrance of the servant with a small leather bag, which was used to hold mail matter, going from or coming to the house.
