Product Description
This up-to-date and comprehensive set of two CD-ROM discs provides a superb collection of official Federal government documents on the subject of cartilage disorders and costochrondritis. Cartilage is the tough but flexible tissue that covers the ends of your bones at a joint. It also gives shape and support to other parts of the body, such as ears, nose and windpipe. Healthy cartilage helps you move by allowing your bones to glide over each other. It also protects bones by preventing them from rubbing against each other. Injured, inflamed or damaged cartilage can cause symptoms such as pain and limited movement. It can also lead to joint damage and deformity. Causes of cartilage problems include tears and injuries, such as sports injuries; genetic factors; other disorders, such as some types of arthritis. For patients, practical information is provided in clearly written patient education documents. For medical professionals, doctor reference tools and texts have detailed technical information and clinical background material. There is no other reference that is as fast, convenient, and portable - everything you need to know, from the federal sources you trust. This thoroughly researched collection presents vital information from many authoritative sources: Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the relevant institute for this disease, and others. In addition to the comprehensive disease-specific coverage, this disc set also includes our Medical Encyclopedia, a $19.95 value! This well written book describes the author's "year long journey" at 26 years old to figure out what exactly she had and the root cause of her heart attack symptoms. After being repeatedly misdiagnosed, she explains what exactly Tietze's Syndrome is and how this rare and terrifying disease affects so many unknowingly.

Incorporating the highly informative facts and specifics is a great narrative wonder that compliments and intrigues the reader's curiosity, even to those of us that do not have this disease. Stephanie explains what the symptoms are, their difference from similar diseases, possible causes, testing, treatment and even dietary suggestions to improve the condition. This is a great FAST GUIDE to learn from as she's already tested the treatment and diet with great success over the last 2 decades.

Told as a friend, narrating her own incredible story, she shows others how to find immediate help, sparring them the wasted time, energy and money that the author experienced. For those that may have Tietze's Syndrome, her story makes you feel like you're not alone. If you have heart attack like symptoms with contradicting test results, unexplainable chest pains or know someone that does, this book is for you.
