Product Description
Webster's bibliographic and event-based timelines are comprehensive in scope, covering virtually all topics, geographic locations and people. They do so from a linguistic point of view, and in the case of this book, the focus is on "Lymphangioma," including when used in literature (e.g. all authors that might have Lymphangioma in their name). As such, this book represents the largest compilation of timeline events associated with Lymphangioma when it is used in proper noun form. Webster's timelines cover bibliographic citations, patented inventions, as well as non-conventional and alternative meanings which capture ambiguities in usage. These furthermore cover all parts of speech (possessive, institutional usage, geographic usage) and contexts, including pop culture, the arts, social sciences (linguistics, history, geography, economics, sociology, political science), business, computer science, literature, law, medicine, psychology, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and other physical sciences. This "data dump" results in a comprehensive set of entries for a bibliographic and/or event-based timeline on the proper name Lymphangioma, since editorial decisions to include or exclude events is purely a linguistic process. The resulting entries are used under license or with permission, used under "fair use" conditions, used in agreement with the original authors, or are in the public domain. ... Read more

Excerpt: In the extracellular region near the plasma membrane, portions of membrane-associated molecules wait to capture phosphate and transport it into the cell. The phosphate may occur as inorganic orthophosphate particles or be part of an organic molecule (organophosphate). Bringing phosphate in any form into the cell and when needed transporting phosphate out of the cell is a necessary activity of phosphate homeostasis for that cell. Due to its high reactivity, phosphorus is never found as a free element in nature. Phosphates are found pervasively in biology. Phosphate is a component of DNA and RNA and an essential element for all living cells. Phosphate metabolism is the compl...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=24346897 ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a wonderful memory
I too read this book 50 years ago ,and have been searching for it for my own children.Unfortunately,I never found it for them while they were children.I would love to see it published again,so I could reread it and share it with others. We need more unselfish stories like the one in Red Shoes for Nancy.I may have trouble remembering things that happened yesterday, but I have never forgotten the impact this book had on me . [I never forgot the name of the book either] . This book made me want to read more books. I cried through most of it which showed me how powerful words can be.

Sorry ,I can`t pay $89 for it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Red Shoes for Nancy and BorrowedAngel
I read both these books in 5th grade and have never forgotten them. I borrowed them form the Bookmobile at school. It is 50 yrs later and I wanted to get a copy for my grandaughter. I was sad to find it was out of print and the copies available are so expensive. This book would be worth reviving in another printing.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Mother's Love In the Face of Heartache
My mother was a nurse at St. John's Hospital (Santa Monica) in the 1950's at the time pre-adolescent Nancy Hamilton was fighting her battle to ultimately wear red shoes. She had grossly misshapened legs that made wearing any shoes a treasured dream. It has been years since I read this book, but I do remember what a testament of a mother's love for a child dearly cared for and the frustrating heartache of being powerless to do anything about it but wait and pray.Nancy had an indomitable spirit that touched all the staff at the hospital. These were the days (mid-1950's)where the wards at Catholic Hospitals were so hushed you could literally hear the air being moved by the habits of the nuns as they made their way down the halls.A hard book to find, but a great comfort to any parent working through grief in its timeless voice.Sincerely, E Kelley, Las Vegas

5-0 out of 5 stars Sad...but wonderful
This book is really sad. I was so touched by it though. It is very old, and may be hard to find, and I noticed how expensive they are here. I really think anyone who likes touching stories should read this one. If you like this one, buy the sequal called "Borrowed Angel" by Marguerite Hamilton. These are both wonderful and touching stories. ... Read more
