Product Description

This book describes unusual cases of cutaneous lymphomas and is of special interest for clinicians and pathologists dealing with the vexing subject of cutaneous lymphoma. In addition to the case description, it gives the clinical, histological, and in most cases also the phenotypical features and the results of molecular techniques. A commentary puts the observations into the context of cutaneous lymphomas. Related papers are cited. The book will be especially helpful in cases which do not fit into the normal spectrum of cutaneous lymphomas. Rare entities of cutaneous lymphomas are demonstrated with high-quality pictures (4-color) and a concise text in an appealing format throughout the book.

The new WHO/EORTC-Classification of Cutaneous lymphomas includes more than 30 entities of Cutaneous T-cell and Cutaneous B-cell lymphomas.

Product Description
At a time when many are looking for raw, authentic lives of faith, author C. Craig Burns offers an autobiographical journey through his diagnosis of an incurable cancer and into the world of ultra marathons.Experience real life situations in vibrant detail as you run, walk, climb, and run some more along with Craig through the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia. An official finisher in five ultra marathons in 2007, plus the Boston Marathon, Craig continued his training and competing (albeit as a self-confessed ‘back-of-the-packer’) while in the midst of overcoming Lymphoma. The trail of Constant Forward Motion winds through every aspect of the author’s life. The people, events, and experiences are all actual and authentic. The story includes doctor reports, prognoses and steps of faith following news such as, "You either have cancer or HIV," and is filled with often humorous observations. There really isn’t anybody who wouldn’t be encouraged by reading this book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Book from an Amazing Author
Craig and I grew up together in a small, sleepy town somewhere in Central Florida. After reading this book, and after knowing Craig from "way back when", I can honestly say that Constant Forward Motion is both spiritually and emotionally the best book, on this topic, that I have ever read.Perhaps it's that I know Pastor Craig personally.Maybe it is because, in my family, I have dealt with lymphoma on 2 separate occasions. The reason does not matter.I cried, I laughed, I sobbed, I chuckled and then my heart opened up to the Lord to receive His Love. I pray for Craig, his family, and his mission everyday.

5-0 out of 5 stars A story that draws you in from the starting line...
You will grab a blanket to ward off the damp chill of the Boston Marathon, and turn on the fan during the sweltering heat of the ultra-marathons.You will literally laugh out loud at Craig's candid observations and commentary. You will cringe at near-disasters. You will sober as the reality of a diagnosis threatens, a dream is altered, a major bump in the road looms ominously ahead. You have been there, too.Run alongside Craig as he shares his journey and how faith is an integral part of his daily training. In reading this encouraging book, you will realize that a doctor's diagnosis, or the horrible "C" word, is indeed not the end!You will be reminded that "Life is good; God is better."This is a great read for the athlete, the outdoor-enthusiast, sportsman, or someone facing a critical health diagnosis; a wonderful reminder that there is beauty all around, there is a silver lining, and there is always Hope.

5-0 out of 5 stars Encouraging, Inspring and Entertaining
Pastor Craig is very candid and vulnerable as he tells the story of his physical challenges that have hit him in recent years. As I read Craig's story I was amazed to find out how he has pushed himself physically (in ways that are hard to believe!) to help others in great spiritual need. His faith and courage have inspired me to challenge myself in new ways.I found myself chuckling throughout many of his experiences. You will be inspired to new levels of faith as you read this inspirational story.

5-0 out of 5 stars Captivating Storytelling
I read this book during our recent record-breaking blizzard in Northern Virginia. With our power out, a roaring fire in the fireplace and a flashlight in hand, I felt as though I were sitting at a campsight listening to Pastor Craig tell stories of courage, determination and faith. His stories had me chuckling one moment, wiping a tear the next.He gives great insight into the world of marathon and ultra-marathon runners, both physically and emotionally.Craig participates in these challenging runs to raise money for very worthwhile causes, all the while battling serious and life-threatening health issues himself. This interesting book will encourage both runners and non-runners alike and strengthen your faith.

5-0 out of 5 stars Laurel Fork Farm
I started reading Constant Forward Motion not knowing anything about marathons or any kind of running competition, and finished feeling like I had actually participated in one! Craig describes each one of his accomplishments in a way that makes you feel like you are running right beside him in each one. His faith in God is proven through each race, which I must confess that I would not have the strength to complete! Always pushing forward and pressing in, Craig is not only an inspiration to cancer survivors but to anyone who who sees his determination to cross the finish line! ... Read more

Product Description
Webster's bibliographic and event-based timelines are comprehensive in scope, covering virtually all topics, geographic locations and people. They do so from a linguistic point of view, and in the case of this book, the focus is on "Lymphoma," including when used in literature (e.g. all authors that might have Lymphoma in their name). As such, this book represents the largest compilation of timeline events associated with Lymphoma when it is used in proper noun form. Webster's timelines cover bibliographic citations, patented inventions, as well as non-conventional and alternative meanings which capture ambiguities in usage. These furthermore cover all parts of speech (possessive, institutional usage, geographic usage) and contexts, including pop culture, the arts, social sciences (linguistics, history, geography, economics, sociology, political science), business, computer science, literature, law, medicine, psychology, mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology and other physical sciences. This "data dump" results in a comprehensive set of entries for a bibliographic and/or event-based timeline on the proper name Lymphoma, since editorial decisions to include or exclude events is purely a linguistic process. The resulting entries are used under license or with permission, used under "fair use" conditions, used in agreement with the original authors, or are in the public domain. ... Read more

Product Description
This book provides the most up-to-date research on follicular lymphomas and other types of cancer, including the identification of causes and the developmental strategies for prevention, diagnosis, treatments and cure. Follicular lymphoma, also known as 'nodular lymphoma', is the most common of the indolent non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. Among several research topics on follicular lymphoma, this book includes a possible explanation of the success or failure of Rituximab, vaccination and immunotherapy and discusses the need for new and more appropriate immunotherapeutic strategies. Ovarian cancer, which remains the number one cause of death from gynaecological malignancies, is also looked at. In an effort to improve the results of treatment, this book examines the use of cytoreductive surgery and perioperative intraperioneal chemotherapy. Finally, haematological malignancies, which affect blood, bone marrow, and lymph nodes and the use of stem cells, such as peripheral blood stem cells, are examined in light of the fact that they provide a rapid and effective recovery after the administration of chemotherapy and radiation. This book also includes current research in prostate cancer and discusses better ways to diagnose prostate cancer by using a biochip-based test system. ...
