5-0 out of 5 stars superb
From back of book:

Born in 1916, Jane Hess Merchant was the author of more than 2,000 poems published throughout the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. The Saturday Evening Post alone published more than 100 of her poems. Among her most successful works was her book "The Greatest of These", judged the best book of poems by the National League of American PEN Women. Although best known for her religious poetry, Jane Hess Merchant also wrote about nature, family, and other subjects.

Born with osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle-bone disease), Jane had been confined to a bed since she was twelve years old. By age 23 she had become completely deaf at 30 she was nearly blind.

When she died, she left a legacy of letters and unknown poems, many of which appear for the first time in this book "A Window on Eternity". Author Sarah Oftedal uses these pieces to help tell the inspiring story of Jane's life.

The book also include a foreward by Ruth Bell Graham. ... Read more

She became an award-winning concert pianist, earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry, married a medical engineer, and became the head of the science department at a mid-Western college. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars This is a book about a boy with osteogenesis imperfecta.
I am writing to say that I don't think the review from the person in Yugoslavia is about this book. I read it many years ago, and am sure it is not about about a boy going to Alaska to kill a bear with his bare hands. It is a true story of a boy who has OI (brittle bone disease). Verytouching.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Gripping Story of a Handsome Lad
Quentin is the heartbreaking story of a good kid done wrong. After graduating from a suburban high school he travels to Alaska with some friends. In Alaska, however, he almost gets eaten by a grizzly bear.Inorder to save himself and his cherished friends, he slays the beast withhis bare hands. . . Much to the dismay of the enviromentalists.OhMy!

Thus begins the journey of young lad confronted by danger at everyturn. In Argentina, he wrestles a alligator, in Thailand he swims withsharks and in Colorado, he out-skis an avalanche.Gripping stuff.Amodern day robin hood. ... Read more
