Aimed at Young Teens
The previous reviewer did not like this book.It should be noted, however, that this particular book is aimed at fairly young scoliosis patients, probably the adolescent just recently diagnosed.If you are looking for more detailed material or are an adult facing surgery, you should look elsewhere that is certain.However, for the young person newly diagnosed, this book seemed to me to be fairly well written and at a grade level easily understood by most preteens and teens.I would certainly be more reluctant to put anything as detailed as some of the other books in the typical young person's hands.This book is one of the few aimed specifically at young people, and covers most of the areas for young scoliosis patients.

Don't bother...
This book I ordered from amazon.com and it arrived today. It was very simple and not very detailed at all. I read the bulk of it in a very shortperiod of time. I have been recently diagnosed with scoliosis and am havingsurgery soon. This book was not very helpful at all. If anything, it mademe more confused and less adjusted to the surgery. I do not recommend thisto anyone, unless they haven't really done any previous research. I canimagine it helping someone who has not been to a doctor yet or someone whois unsure. Overall, this book is not very good and I feel if you arepreparing for surgery you should get a different book. Do not waste yourmoney on this. Try "Ascending the Curve", also at amazon.com.
