DataCAD is the greatest cad tool you will find for Architectural work and I outa know, I have TurboCad, Intellicad, Vector Works, and AutoCad, but 99% of my work is with DataCAD.

This book is NOT the manual that comes with the software, but I'm betting that it soon will be the OFFICIAL Official DataCAD manual.

This book is not widely known, but it's used by award-winning bands
My daughter has had the pleasure of playing for three different school bands due to our relocation. She actually started playing in 4th grade, and has used several other band books. This book is the current band book used for instruction at her school (7th grade/2nd year). The pages are slick and high quality color like that of a school textbook. The only complaint I have is the cover is rather flimsy, which I wish they would improve for the sake of durability.

The content must be very good however, as her high school band is state-ranked as #1 or #2 in the state of Indiana every year (Homestead High), and her instructor has won Band Director of the year by our regional Fort Wayne Philharmonic. Definitively, a book that needed to be written. Kudos to Ratner and Smith for their exhaustive research combined with lucid and skilled writing.
If more people would read this book, debunk the propoganda here in the U.S.A., possibly another Wall would come down with the end of the draconic Embargo against Cuba.

Good study reference
Back in the good ol' days I went through more than a couple study guides - maybe I needed more help than others? I really liked the Harper guide - it is very readable and includes relevant problems for each chapter. The book is definitely geared toward your first year of o-chem: there aren't any more advance topics. The book works well as an aid and reference for classroom work as it's a bit too breezy to be a self-study guide. Still, though, I think it's the best of the study helps.

Good review/reference
I used this book as a reference for my second semester organic chemistry course. It worked very well to reinforce concepts presented in my class textbook, and as a review for the first semester material (we had a comprehensive 1st and 2nd semester final). The question/answer format worked for me -- some people might find it annoying, though. This is not the book to use if you're looking for straight-forward, tabular listings of reactions. I would recommend it as a backup presentation of class material.

The reason I give this book only 3 stars is that it had an inexcusable number of mistakes and misspellings, way too many to have made it past a competent editor. I found the errors to be distracting and at times it made me wonder if some of the chemistry in the text might also be in error!

Very Good Affordable Reference
This book has a lot to offer for a very small price.Other paperback OChem review books skimp on content -- that is not the case with this one.In some cases this book has more detail than mycollege text book does.

It is organized as a series of questions,for example "What is the structure of Lithium AluminumHydride?" instead of the standard Topic/subtopic format.Ididn't find this to be an asset, but I got used to it.The diagramsare hardly flashy, but they get the point across.I needed anOrganic Chem reference because I teach an MCAT Prep course.Thisbook is well organized and complete.
