Extractions: Spring update from Team Canada Hello All! Thank you for your patience on our updates this winter, and it has been a winter! We are ready for spring! Praise the Lord! We moved into our offices at the end of January. We still have some odd jobs to be done, touch-ups and some more painting, finishing the kitchen, etc., but we are in! We have had probably three weeks of somewhat normal office life and it is good to have that ongoing sense of team. We are still getting out from under all the administration pile up that comes with moving and being out of the offices for 10 months. We thank you for your patience with our correspondence during this time.

Extractions: WHAT'S A "GRACE BRETHREN" CHURCH? I'm glad you asked! From the time of Jesus, Christians have always understood their new spiritual relationship to God as "Father." The Bible says, "In the exercise of His will, He brought us forth by the word of truth..." (James 1:18). God gave us spiritual birth through the work of the Holy Spirit and faith in Jesus Christ. So we are His children. We have been adopted into God's family! That's why we call ourselves brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, or "Brethren." We really aren't Roman Catholics (began with the Roman Emperor Constantine in 325AD), nor are we Protestants (those believers who "protested" against the Roman Catholic church in the 16th century). We are simply Christians who believe the Bible, the whole Bible and nothing but the Bible. In fact, as we wonder why God brought the Orrville, Ohio GBC into existence, we see four very clear reasons: EXULTING God saved us to exult Jesus, our Lord. We do this each day by personally spending time in prayer and study of the Bible.

Some have been praying for years as the Nelson's started out and plowed the rough ground. We appreciate their hard work and the work of those who assisted them in their effort. It's always been my desire to see a Grace Brethren Church here in Mason. I pray that some time in the near future that will be a reality. The following is a short update of how God is using us here in Mason. We covet your prayers, and hope that some occasional input can help you pray more specifically. I would never claim to be a gifted church planter, as I don't have past experiences that demonstrate the characteristics that successful church planters have. So about a year ago, Kathy and I started a neighborhood Bible Study to see if God might be pleased to draw some people to His Son, and allow us the privilege of shepherding them.
