Koenig's "Das O.T.O.-Phänomen" by Mark Parry-Maddocks Born in Zurich on February 26th 1926, daughter of a vinegar manufacturer called Robert Aeschbach, Fräulein Annemarie Aeschbach was registered as living in the Eugen Huberstrasse in Zurich until the date of Metzger's death in 1990. Since 1954, she had been listed locally as the proprietor of the "House in the Schedlern" near Stein. Alongside Metzger's housekeeper Anna Werder-Binder, (a divorcee who had lived with Metzger in the same house at Zurich since 1967, but had her own Mini car), Fräulein Aeschbach spent much of her time at Stein, answering the phone and dispatching orders for books. On April 25th 1951 Frau Werder-Binder had signed a diploma (together with Charles Huber) for Eugen Grosche, which had made Grosche into a "legally initiated member." Fräulein Aeschbach had bought the house at Schedlern from her father in 1954, when it had became known as the 'Thelema Commandery'. In 1986 the doors of its rooms still bore number-plates; the house itself being a three-story villa in the 'garden-city' style of the 1920s, with rather narrow rooms looking straight out onto the hotel next door. [1] Both buildings stand on the road to Stein, a village close by of some 1,100 souls, where Metzger's Abbey of Thelema was located. The House of the Schedlern was renovated on September 25th 1955.

This document is designed for members of the Order of the Thelemic Golden Dawn, so that they may comprehend the meanings of certain words and numbers that are often used or indicated in Thelemic literature. In the Qabalah there is a special science called Gematria which asserts that any words having the same numerical value are descriptions of a single phenomenon, or that such words define each other. Most of what follows should give helpful insight to members of our Holy Order of Thelema concerning essential Qabalistic mysteries of Liber Legis. = Magnum Opus, the Great Work. It is the blending of the Pentagram (5) and Hexagram (6), or of the Rose (5 petals) and Cross (Sixfold Cross). It is the number of AVD (Magick Force). It is the special number of Nuit, Hadit and Ra-Hoor-Khuit. In the first chapter of Liber Legis, it is stated by Nuit, "My number is 11, as all their numbers who are of us." It is stated by Hadit in the second chapter, "I am the Empress and the Hierophant; thus eleven as my bride is eleven." The names HOOR-PA-KRAAT and RA-HOOR-KHUIT have 11 letters each. So does ABRAHADABRA (Word of Ra-Hoor-Khuit). There are 11 words in the Law of Thelema. 11=WE (Read AL,II:64) and AHH (Ahah!). = YE (Yod-Heh, the Monogram of the Eternal). Read AL,I:17, where it is stated by Nuit, "But ye are not so chosen." Not is LA (31). Yod-Heh is the God Name of Chokmah, the Sphere of Stars, thus the word "ye" indicates the Stars of Our Lady Nuit. The word "not" indicates Nuit Herself. 15 is the Mystic number of Geburah, the Sphere of Mars, the Planet of Horus, so that "ye" are the children of Horus who are chosen in Nuit.

Yes, he was a Prophet and the Ipsissimus that one could say invented Thelema by adapting the mysteries of the Great White Brotherhood into a coherent system of Theurgy by which the Aspirant can engage in the work of his or her own evolutionary development. But is he to be the only one? Marcelo Motta wrote that 'Religion is the death of Theurgy' and he has a strong point except for the fact that a religion can be Theurgic rather than Dogmatic. With the prophecies of Liber AL vel Legis, we begin to approach fulfillment with the initial discovery of the Key to the Book of the Law by Charles Stansfield Jones. But he was not to be nor do I believe that he ever should be considered a Prophet; only one who came along to fulfill a prophecy. And the work of Kenneth Grant (adding to the corpus of Knowledge) even with the Cult of Lam, is both Theurgic and Religious in nature. But again, there's no prophecy here; only the seeming fulfillment of a direction by Crowley to rearrange the structure of the O.T.O. But whether or not prophecy will come by way of Theurgy or any other type of communication, is a matter of speculation. And in the meantime, there's so much in the Canon that Aleister Crowley has put before us that has yet to be digested and investigated. In my book, Thelemic Commentaries, I write:
