3-0 out of 5 stars Not what I Thought
The books arrived in a timely manner for which I thank you very much; however, you pictured them as having a black cover but we received the ones with a more recent colorful cover. We were a bit disappointed as a customer wanted the black covers, but graciously accepted the newer ones. Please, try to have the picture match the items for the future.

Thank you for your consideration.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bible - Gift
This Bible ended up being a gift for a new convert to Christ and she's enjoying it so much!Well pleased with it and I would buy from this seller again!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent price, great book!
This book was exactly the right one for my class and was at a fraction of what the bookstore wanted. Can't beat it, and would purchase again from amazon.

5-0 out of 5 stars NIV Student Bible - a must have
When it comes to any version of the bible, a bible is a bible is a bible. Not really.I have basic bibles, study bibles, and even electronic bibles but this one is something I require in my library.

Why?Because of the additional material.Material that helps explain what happened and why.Material that points you to other reference material. The extra material is placed throughout the bible right near the passage it is referring to.

There are three different reading tracks; one to learn about Jesus, one to read the high points of the bible, and one to read the entire bible.

There are lists of important information, a complete subject guide, and maps that help to understand and see what is going on in the bible.

This is a great bible for a beginner just trying to get an understanding of the bible or for someone who wants to study the bible. At a minimum, take a couple of minutes to review it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Student Bibles
We love the Student Bibles. We give them to our 3rd graders each year. However, one of the Bibles was slightly damaged this go-round.I had to remove the paper covers (one was torn and wrinkled and I needed the gifts to be identical) and do my best to "un-bend" one of the book's corners before handing them out.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Bible for teaching and study
No matter if you are a teacher, student, new to the Bible, or a long time studier...this is a great Bible. The added perspectives often bring parables and law lessons alike. The Bible certainly isn't an easy read book, but this format certainly makes it easier.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice look to it, but beware the lists in the back
I was so glad to finally find an NRSV version for teens.I ordered a bunch to use in confirmation. It's well constructed and has a nice feel to it.However, our problem is that it provides a "subject guide" in the back, which in itself isn't the problem - it's an opportunity for the youth to find passages that match their questions or interests.I discovered that indeed Zondervan had included homosexuality on the list. We are an open and affirming congregation and this interpretation of scripture is not OK.What's interesting however is that it doesn't take you to any Old Testament texts - such as Leviticus - but only Romans, 1st Corinthians, and 1st Timothy. Those are the very texts that are least problematic of all 7 scriptures often used as a weapon against gay and lesbian Christians. So, I guess that's better than nothing...But I had hoped that an NRSV version wouldn't include the consumate right-wing ideology of other translations.

4-0 out of 5 stars Bible Study - NRSV
Workhorse Bible for study of the NSRV, one of the solid modern English translations.Great for teenagers alone or for adults in conjunction with other study Bibles, such as Harpers, and alongside other translations.

5-0 out of 5 stars My First Bible
This is the first Bible I've ever read from cover to cover, and I must say that it was very good.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite Bible, but it's all right
It's an o.k. Bible.Good price, but I'd rather pay a little more and get a better one.I didn't like the study plan and found it rather dull.Instead I use it for when I'm just wanting to browse through the Bible, but I don't use it for heavy duty reading.

5-0 out of 5 stars quick service!
My item was shipped right away so I got it quickly. It was in totally like new condition and the price was great! What more could you ask for?

5-0 out of 5 stars Best out of Five
I own about 5 Bibles, and this is my favorite. And I really like the plans in the beginning for those who wish to read the whole Bible (or not). There are 3 tracks for you to choose from based on how you want to pace your reading (Topics, Every Book, and Every Word). Lastly, the size to not too big, and not too small.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great study bible
This is a great bible for study and an easy to understand translation. It has an index in the back which I find very helpful to find verses on relevant subjects that are going on in my life during that time. The only problem I have with this bible is that there are blurbs here and there (easy to ignore) which provide an interpretation of the text. While this can be very helpful for someone who wants to read an interpretation, I believe that part of the experience of reading a Bible is left upon the reader to interpret it however he or she chooses. Still, I'd recommend it highly for anyone who is serious about understanding the Bible and who wants a good Bible reference around. Of all my Bible translations, this one is my most used one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
This bible really let me understand the bible easily.

4-0 out of 5 stars awesome bible, really helps ya understand it!
i got my version of this book (leather) 2 years ago.it's been great!it has character profiles, reading plans, an introduction to each book of the Bible, insights (short articles written like a clip from a magazine, helps you look at things in a new perspective) and highlights, which are little blue boxes through out this book that point out interesting facts & help explain a difficult verse. There is a section in the back marked with a blue tab called "Where to Find It."it has things like a glossary, a piece called Well-Known Biblical Events, or a Line-up of Rulers, then a short subject guide.right behind all that are the maps.i recomend this Bible because it really helped me understand it, and helps me see things you'd normally over look.By the way, i read somewhere if you read 3 chapters a day and 5 on Sundays, you should finish the whole Bible in about a year.Pretty cool, huh?anyway, i hope you seriously consider this book, it really is awesome! ... Product Description

Like the acclaimed Apologetics Study Bible that has sold 115,000+ copies, the Apologetics Study Bible for Students will anchor younger Christians in the truths of Scripture by equipping them with thoughtful and practical responses for whenever the core issues of their faith and life are challenged.

Multiple research studies have shown that spiritual focus often weakens among teenagers as they head into the attention-dividing realm of young adulthood. Up to 66% of them leave church altogether. The Apologetics Study Bible for Students works against that trend by helping this audience begin to better articulate its beliefs. In addition to the complete HCSB text and dozens of articles collected from today’s most popular youth leaders, including general editor Sean McDowell, this new study Bible also includes:

• Two-color design-intensive layout on every page for the visual generation

• Sixty “Twisted Scriptures” explanations

• Fifty “Bones & Dirt” entries (archaeology meets apologetics)

• Fifty “Notable Quotes”

• Twenty-five “Tactics” against common anti-Christian arguments

• Twenty “Personal Stories” of how God has worked in real lives

• Twenty “Top Five” lists to help remember key apologetics topics

4-0 out of 5 stars Daughter loves it! I want one now...
Bought one for my daughter for her high school graduation gift -- she needed a new Bible. She loves it and is using it in her Bible classes and also in a small group study of Focus on the Family's Truth Project! Love all the notes, insights and such, great for today's world and backing up a Christian worldview. The only reason I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 starts is the index in the back is confusing and hard to use if you are looking for a specific topic, no concordance.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic study Bible for teens... but good for adults as well
I got this when I got the Apologetics Study Bible since I work with teens and wanted to give it a "test run" before recommending it. First of all, I was surprised how much I like the HCSB translation! It communicates clearly and still maintains the integrity of the original text, unlike other "easy to read" translations like the NIV.

As with the Apologetics Study Bible, there aren't near enough notes on individual verses like you would have with other study Bibles (like the MacArthur Study Bible), but I think the thrust of the Teen and Adult ASB's is to hit strictly on Apologetics... but there are still some hard to interpret passages that are ignored and should be addressed in all study Bibles. For example, in 1 Peter where he mentions the baptism for the dead, nothing is said here.

One problem I do have is that this Bible brings up questions and attacks I've never heard of, and I consider myself to have a pretty good feel on the pulse in the apologetics world. With the constant focus on attacks, questions, doubts, etc, I can see how the notes/articles could possibly plant doubts when that isn't necessary... but they do answer the concerns, so its not like the attacks are unanswered.

Overall, it's still a great study Bible... just don't expect a heavy, in depth treatment of every verse like you would with other study Bibles, however the articles are fantastic and for that reason, its worth it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Student Apologetic Study Bible
As a young believer I developed a sudden intense hunger for apologetics after a cultist knocked on my door challenged my faith. Then with an atheist at my work site I had to find a way to get intellectually armed, consequently I purchased dozens of books on apologetics. Oh how I wish this Bible or Strobel's apologetic bible had been available. Accordingly, Sean McDowell's (author: "Apologetics for a New Generation: A Biblical and Culturally Relevant Approach to Talking About God"; son of Josh McDowell) "HCSB Apologetics Study Bible for Students" is an outstanding apologetic resource for young people and students.

Within this reader-friendly tool one will discover:

- How to identify scripture twisting
- Simple and powerful evidential proofs
- Easy to understand archaeology facts
- Outstanding quotes
- Ways to defend the Christian worldview
- Easy to implement tactics that will help intellectually equip students
- Potent testimonies from important Christian figures.

McDowell's "Apologetics Study Bible for Students" is a helpful and powerful apologetic instrument written by an author who understands the challenges that Christian students face.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding gift to young people
The Apologetics Study Bible for Students is outstanding for students and adults. Some of the best apologetic summaries that I have seen that really provides great answers and gets the readers to think them through so we can use them.Let's face it, young Christians today need material like this all the time especially in college.I am impressed also with the HCSB translation and its layout.Good work!

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth getting

2-0 out of 5 stars NO Search on Kindle.
I bought this for my Kindle DX which has search function. I was very disapointed to find out that this ebook is not indexed and has no search. You can go to the first letter of a word then you have to turn pages until you get to the word you are looking up.And if you already have a Kindle you know how slow it changes pages. This makes the Kindle version of this book pretty much useless.

The information within this book is great though. So if you are considering the print version then I recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have for any Catholic
My 22 year old daughter gave me a copy of this Bible because it had tons of information in the front that explains a great deal about our faith.Topics such as, "Why do we have a Pope," or "Why does God want sex to be reserved for married couples only." I'm not a "Cradle Catholic" and still find myself asking questions about the Catholic faith. This Bible not only answered those many questions for me, but also helped make it possible for me to teach my teenager and other younger adult children. It also includes additional explanations off to the side of the reading helping you to further understand what your reading and help you put it into your daily life. This book is entitled "Student," but I believe is for every Catholic.I keep recommending it to friends and buying up copies right and left to give away.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great youth Bible!
This Bible's unique section of questions and answers has helped us with our youth group. We are able to share Biblical teachings with our students in an approachable way for young people.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great inexpensive Catholic Bible for teens & graduates!
I'm a Catholic religious education teacher for high schoolers.I find this particular Bible to be a GREAT inexpensive Bible to give to junior high school, high school, and college-aged Catholic kids because not only is it an NAB (New American Bible, which means that it has very helpful footnotes, is a very accurate translation, gives great summaries and background info for each book of the Bible, and has the impramateur) but it also has a Q&A section at the front that is written in a style that teens will definitely be able to relate to and answers questions that will certainly come up for them at some pointabout the what and why of basic Catholic beliefs, dealing with depression, answers about premarital sex & chastity, abortion, drug & alcohol use, what Catholics believe about the Pope and why, what Catholics believe about Mary & the Saints and why, etc.I'm giving one of these to each of the graduating seniors in my class this year (I wish I could afford to give one to each kid in my class -- not just the seniors!)I'm also going to give it to three nieces who are graduating this year.I thought about giving them classier-looking fake-leather-type Bibles with their name imprinted on the front, but I think that this Bible will be much more useful to them in the long run because of the great Q&A section (about 100 pages or so) in the front; and even though I doubt that any one of "my" kids would pick up a Bible and read it now (they pretty much come to R.E. classes grudgingly and disagree with much of what the Church teaches about morality), I think that there will come a time when they WILL pick it up and browse through it, or look for specific answes in it.This Bible is an answer to my prayers to find just the right graduation gifts for these kids!(I had just about decided on "Did Adam & Eve Have Bellybuttons?" -- which would have been a great choice, too, although I really wanted to give them a Bible -- before I found this Bible.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Bible!
Easy to understand and very easy to read. This was my first Bible and I have since gone on to love reading all versions because of my strong base I received from this Bible.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful New Testament for teens
I am so sad that this version of the New Testament is out of print! I was happy to find three used ones at this site and I bought them right away to pass on to teens that would benefit from a wonderful, easy to understand contemporary English version of the New Testament. Before the new testament begins, the first 100 pages are also fabulous. They are filled with questions and answers for Catholic teens on their faith.I have bought one for each of my three children and my daughter has given copies to her friends. The New Testament is written in such an easy to read format, with solid Catholic interpretation in the margins.Teens need to have questions about faith, catholicism, sexuality, abuse, depression, the papacy, ..... (to name just a few of the questions and answers written about) answered in a truthful easy to read sensitive manner that is consistent with the teachings of Jesus and His one, holy, apostolic Church. What a joyful read!I hope it goes back into print in the future. ... Read more

Bible was used and when received was in the condition as advertised. Quality of services was very good.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Was the First Bible I Ever Read Cover to Cover!
This Bible spoke to me.I love it so much, I gave 7 copies of it to our daughters' old school in honor of a classmate who passed away from cancer at the age of seven. At that time, it was the only Bible with AR tests (Accelerated Reader tests).Renaissance Learning makes reading quizzes for many children's books so that elementary and high schools can use them to check students' reading progress.

My kids were at a Christian school and we go to a Christian church.Since they were reading the Bible regularly anyway, having the AR tests available to them at school made it convenient to earn their required AR points.

Unfortunately, this book is out-of-print.Hopefully you can find it in your local library or via Inter-Library Loan.Enjoy!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great First Bible!
I've been using this one since I became a Christian. The notes and tracks are really helpful. I'd recomment this to anyone looking for a good way to start diving into the Word on a regular basis. The only thing is I wish it came in a bonded leather compact edition so that it would last.

**Update** I'd also like to add this - I recommend obtaining the NASB or even easier to read the ESV version for superior translation accuracy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great For Students!
This Bible can touch people who normally dread opening the scriptures. It makes the bible easier to understand and cherish. It is filled with many tips, reading plans, and facts. There is a great section in the back where you can look up bible verses by subject. I gave ended up giving my copy to my non-church going teenage neighbor who came over my house and started thumbing through it. 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent gift and study Bible
I love this Bible. The cover is really fun, especially for girls, as you can use any of the four provided designs OR insert your own covers / pictures. You can change them as you go.I put a favorite prayer in the cover of mine. The plastic cover is very sturdy and the binding secure.Great choice! This is the one I give out the most.

5-0 out of 5 stars Surprising quality in a student Bible
I'm generally disappointed with the quality of Bibles printed these days -- fake leather, glued bindings, cheap paper, cheezy covers. In particular, student Bibles generally don't aspire to any particular greatness. So when I first saw this Bible, I was ready to roll my eyes at the vinyl plastic cover and its inserts.

But what I found surprised me.The inserts are appealing and attractive, the Bible inside is easy to read even in this compact size, and the Bible has a symth-sewn binding, not a glued one, ensuring that it lays flat and will withstand some serious use.

Kudos to Zondervan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Neat cover--great for high school/college
What I like most about this particular version of the Compact NIV Student Bible is the cover.Hardcovers these days don't stand up to use, separating from the binding. This one is paperback so that doesn't happen, and the makers solved the wear-and-tear/small spills problems with a removable vinyl cover.Something I didn't realize until purchase is that it has 2 double-sided inserts that let you choose from 4 feminine design prints. The prints seem like they'd appeal to middle through college age groups. The owner can always insert their own creation as well.

I used the Compact NIV Student Bible in high school and college, and found it more "grown-up" from the colorful Teen Study Bible I'd worn out using in middle school. This Bible is a nice size--small without compromising with ultra-small print. Some of the extra application notes are helpful, but there aren't very many of them.A study Bible would be best if you're looking for comments and application. This one's good for going to church or retreats. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL RESOURCE
This Bible Dictionary is a wonderful, quick resource while learning about the Bible and trying to figure all the main characters and the locations. It is a fast reference and doesn't slow you down trying to move forward in the stories and lessons.I bought it for my children so they could sort out the different kingdoms, tribes, groups, cities, alliances, etc.The dictionary explains the term or location, and then refers the reader to the proper section in the Bible. The maps and illustrations are accurate and well done, the printing and the paper are of high quality, and the book will take a beating while the youngsters are sharing and it passing back and forth.Well worth the price. Good job by the authors.

5-0 out of 5 stars I was so pleased
I am thoroughly pleased with The Student Bible Dictionary. It was in great condition and arrived much sooner than expected.Really glad to have it as a handy addition to my daily Bible reading. It is handy, concise and most helpful.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Deal, Right Book
Excellent purchase and I saved a ton of money, and got the book fast for my class that was starting.Very pleased with the service and the book.

1-0 out of 5 stars caution...extreme homophobia
If you belong to an even moderately liberal church, do NOT use this student Bible dictionary.I have actually given it out to beginning youth classes for a few years, and have used it on occasion to look up terms.Just recently, I had a parent come to me with their youth's dictionary and point out to me that the definition of "homosexual" contains the phrase "contrary to the will of God"!!I absolutely do not agree with this, nor does my church, which welcomes everyone, nor my denomination (United Church of Christ).I was appalled by this entry, and promptly did a recall on the books we had handed out that day.I am in the process of looking for an alternative to this book, which I will NEVER hand out again...

5-0 out of 5 stars Student's Guide to the Bible
This is an incredible guide for upper grade school thru college students, and/or young adults struggling about Christianity. The guide addresses life's issues, and gives the scripture to back up the subject. It includes everyday struggles and decisions we all make concerning our morality.I have used this with my grand-children and some for graduation HS gifts to close friends. It is a wonderful guide to help young explore life with the help of the Bible, it becomes personal to them and a wonderful guide to learn what the Bible has for each of us concerning all aspects in our life.Carolyn from Colorado

5-0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for
I recently graduated from college and read this book after hearing many good things about it. I was immediately impressed with the topics presented as well as the layout, pictures and information provided. This book addresses many of the issues that young adults are faced with on an every day basis and provides the Biblical support I have been looking for. I think anyone that is high-school or college age, or anyone with kids in this age group should purchase this book. It is a helpful tool for teens and young adults attempting to survive in today's world.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is going to college
My kids are going to love this unusual, wonderfully illustrated Bible guide. High school and college students helped create it, and it shows. The book is a 3-parter. The biggest section deals with life topics affecting kids today--topics they have questions about. Some are controversial, like abortion, homosexuality, and masturbation. Some are practical, like what the Bible says about tattoos (the answer surprised me, since I didn't think the Bible said anything about it). Each topic is loaded with relevant excerpts from the Bible. Some are accompanied by short feature articles. On tough issues that the Bible doesn't address directly--but that kids wonder about-- the writer simply reports what Bible experts have to say about the topics, and the evidence they use to support their case. Here's the caption under an engaging close-up of a young lady's eyes, in the section dealing with "lust." Caption title: Eyes of the beholder. Caption text: "Seen through eyes of love, another person is our master--someone we want only to please. Seen through the eyes of lust, another person is our servant--someone we want only to please us." Cool definition. Especially for hormonally charged kids. The second big section of the book introduces each book of the Bible, condensing the main points to two pages each. A bit like Cliff Notes with pictures. It covers topics like "Biggest Idea," "Biggest Scene," and "Sum it up." The last section highlights 50 of the most famous heroes and jerks of the Bible. It's just a little add-on feature, but it's cleverly written and illustrated. The book looks like a great way to get kids to crack open their Bibles. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Easy to comprehend, but side-notes aweful
I received this bible from my pastor as a gift for sharing my musical talents at my church for many years. ANYWAY, the point is, the translation is quite easy to comprehend, and allows for an easier understanding, however, it also gives side notes, and stories etc., which are overbearingly conservative.Instead of allowing the teenager to decide for himself about certain subjects, this edition give you an answer based on a one sided(conservative) opinion.THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR TEENS...they need to see both sides of the issue, and be exposed to other opinions and REAL LIFE facts. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for adults as well
This particular student Bible has a lot to offer:a translation which is not only easy to understand but pleasurable to read, many inserted stories of life situations , thought-provoking topics and questions to really make you think, and appeals to the eye (the print is not too small, but comfortable to read for extended periods of time).I really enjoy reading this even though I am well past my teen years and I'm not afraid to admit it.In fact, I've been using it so much I need a new copy as mine is falling apart.

4-0 out of 5 stars Sunday School Teacher
This book is not only for teenagers. It is for anyone who is a babe in Christ; For anyone who would find the King James Version challenging.I would give this book to the newly converted. You can't feed a baby steak for a first meal.

3-0 out of 5 stars For young teens ONLY
I got this bible in middle school and loved the situations and testimonials they had in it.It made me understand the word better. However, I've been in bible study for a few years now and a lot of timestheir is an ambiguity within the text and I need to grab another version ofthe bible so that I can have a better idea of what the text is supposed tobe saying. Also, there are no notes to speak of concerning the times orother more intellectual things.Good for young teens, but definitely needsomething more appropriate as people get older.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pink Life Application Bible Review
Back in September I purchased a NCV Revolve Bible, it was great and all but NCV was a little too dumbed down for me. Also, a girl I was originally friends with had the same Bible, I felt like I was copying her and now that we weren't getting along, having the same Bible as her reminded me of how our friendship went sour in the matter of only a month. So I went searching for another Bible.

I found this. At first I was reluctant to get it because it was NLT...but when I read some of it, I realized it sounded way better than NCV.

I like how this Bible also has the silver gilded edges.

I love how the Bible is not as heavy as my Revolve Bible. But there are some downsides. The white ribbon easily tore apart, so I had to cut it off. But I found out how I could add ribbons. You just glue it into the binding. So now I have 3 ribbons.

I also don't like how the interior is green. I was thinking that because this Bible was pink, it would have a cute color as the interior. But it was dark green.

I also don't like how the Bible is gender neutral (not the scriptures, but the Life Application content).

But as another reviewer said, this Bible could be used for college students. I am 20 years old, and many things in this Bible apply to me.

Overall, its a great Bible.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Bible for Teenagers & College Students
A friend of mine has this Bible which I barowed before and I have to say it's a really neat Bible. It's not just for teenagers but college as well but it's geard a bit more towards teenagers. To say the least there really isn't any NLT Bibles for college students (which I happen to be)as this Bible is geared a bit more towards teenagers, but it certaintly works good for young college students. I highly recommend the New Living Translation for anyone who wants a readable and use to understand Bible that's not a paraphrase but a translation that actually uses the originally texts as it's basis. This Bible gets my stamp approval! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good idea, but missing key portions of Scripture
I should probably start out by saying that I am a homeschool mom, and a university theology professor. So I am very picky when it comes to children's resources for Bible education. I don't like most of them because they dumb the information down and treat kids like they aren't capable of learning good theology.

I bought this Bible as a supplement to our homeschool Bible curriculum. I like how it provides intelligent, but simple, explanations of historical and cultural background issues of the Bible. Unfortunately, after we started using it I noticed that major portions of Scripture are missing. For example, we were working our way through the book of Daniel when we suddenly noticed that the final verses of chapter 6 was missing. Then we flipped the page to see that the rest of Daniel is absent as well. Also, the text of the minor prophets is omitted; only short synopses are included.

Although this is disappointing, I still think this Bible is the best children's Bible out there for ages 7 to 11. It doesn't talk down to kids and presents them with sound, but readable, background information.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awsome study Bible for Kids
This Bible is for 7-11 year olds who are ready to read scriptures directly from the bible instead of in a story version. It includes a passage from the Bible along with photo's and descriptions that help the child gain background information(includes both science and historical information such as info about locusts or about the area where it takes place) to support their reading. I was very impressed at the quality of the information (not filled with a bunch of cartoon-like drawings. I saw this Bible at our local Christian Bookstore and I will be purchasing this for my children. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Beginner Bible for Teens - Adults!
This book has just the right amount of reading that beginners can digest each day. With thought provoking questions and comments, it gets a person thinking about how the Bible can apply to one's own life.My group's teens enjoy it and so do the adults!

5-0 out of 5 stars Youth Ministry
From 2005 to 2007, I was a youth pastor in Kansas. The team and myself wanted the students in God's Word more outside of services and for there to be opportunities to interact with other students about Christ.

So, we started lunch groups in our schools and empowered students to lead them from our church. They met twice a week and they used the 1 Minute Bible for the dovotional.

I would highly recommend the 1 Minute Bible for personal devotions or for groups to meet as our ministry did.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great short resource for students
I give this four stars only because many of the days don't include anything beyond the scripture passage and a quote. The days that do, however, provide excellent devotional thoughts.Along with this, the entire framework of the Bible is covered in only minutes a day. What more can be expected of one book (outside of the Bible itself?).

The best way to use this resource is to study it in a group with the curriculum written by the author available at simplyyouthministry.com.Use this with your class and the impact will be much greater.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great way to get to know God's Word...
I got this book when I started to deepen my faith and found it as a great way to learn the Bible. Every day, there is a story from the Bible that includes scriptures to look up that apply to the story and a fun thing such a verse to memorize or a profile on a person in the Bible. I have since passed it down to my sister and she reads it every day. A great book with great intentions. ... Read more
