Product Description
Health issues have always been important to human beingssince the beginning of time. The earliest records of history show thatknowledge of proper diet, preventative health practices, and the artof healing were held in high esteem since the time of Ancient Egypt(5,000 B.C.E. or before). Natural health concepts and healingtechniques which were practiced in Ancient Egypt are now referred toas alternative medicine disciplines. They include thosehealing modalities which do not adhere to the philosophy of allopathicmedicine, with its emphasis on masking the symptoms of disease ratherthan eliminating the root cause of disease. Allopathic treatmentmethods have shown their limitations over the years because they donot heal the entire person. This new volume presents the concepts andteachings based on the Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) philosophy of totalhealth of the entire person, that is, health not just of the body, butalso health of the mind and soul as well, which gets to the rootcause of the dis-ease and eradicates it. For this kind of health onemust have a keen understanding of the body-mind-soul connection and, what it means to be truly healthy. Health is a lifestyle, not amedicine. It is a spiritual lifestyle that leads to health of body, mind and soul and ultimately to discovery of the Higher Self. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Book
This book is pretty interesting. Some of the stuff about Egypitan/Kemetic history that is in this book you may already know if you have gotten to the point in your studies where you are purchasing this book. Its a good sized book, and has as some step by step applications for the meal plan.I havent read the whole thing through, I have only skipped around, so I cant give it a 5 star rating. But from what I have read it is very informative concerning Kemetic culture and spirituality.

4-0 out of 5 stars This book will make you say ouch that hurts.
This book could not have said it better. The grammatical errors can be overlook.

3-0 out of 5 stars Dr Ashby gets it *almost* right....
Dr. Muata Ashby, who gave us such titles as "Egyptian Yoga" has actually done pretty well in attempting to put out a book about the Ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) view of health and healing. There are a few things which I find to rather sloppy scholarship. It would be nice, if after all this time, he would cite the authors and actual passages of his "Ancient Egyptian Proverbs" that he quotes throughout the book. Also the picture of the "Imhotep Pharmacy" at the temple of Aset (Isis) at Philae on page 28 is a bit over the top.His intentions, however are good, and most anyone can get something from the book as it outlines good eating and living habits. This however, is certainly not the end all be all when studying health and medicine of Ancient Egypt.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kemetic(Afrikan) Holistic Health
HTP.I would give this book a TEN rating if I could. Sehu Maa has done a tremendous job on this work. This book gives a good background of the holistic background in ancient KMT. Iu-em-htp is referred to in this book as well. The kemetic terms we use for body parts, ailments, mucous, and health conditions are shown. Some of the medical writings are used as examples as well. I strongly recommend this book to upcoming, and experienced healers, especially Afrikansand American born Afrikans. Ankh udja snb Sehu Maa ... Read more

Product Description
In the early period of Ancient Egyptian history, earlier than in any other culture, before the Hindus, Buddhists, Kabbalists and Taoists, there was a teaching of the TREE OF LIFE. This was a special teaching describing the secret wisdom about the nature of the universe and of the soul as well as a path to make the journey, through varied phases of spiritual evolution, from mortal to immortal and from earth to heaven and beyond. The goal is to regain oneÂ’s divine stature and transcendental place. In its earliest form, originated in Ancient Egypt, it was related to theurgical religious system developed in the priests and priestesses of the Ancient Egyptian city of Anu and the Tree was seen as the source of life. This book explains that teaching, which has been available to all, but missed by those who did not possess the keys to unlock its mystic formula. In this volume the Creation teaching of Anu, the TREE OF LIFE metaphysical teachings, disciplines and techniques, from the hieroglyphic texts, are given. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Reading
When I first looked at the book a military friend of mine gave a copy to read. I thought it was to complex to get into because I wasn't familar with a lot of the terminalogy. After staying with this the book I found it wasn't just a history lesson on Ancient Egypt it also talked about capitalism, democracy, HIV and other contempory issues. It may take a while to grasp the concept but overall I think it's a very good book

3-0 out of 5 stars Review
Although a good book with a valid thesis, the constant repetition of the thesis can begin to bore the reader. There are some things the author said I didn't agree with. For one the romanticizing of Africa can be a little misleading. The author didn't go into great detail as to why the Africans left Africa and traveled to other parts of the world. If Africa was 'all that' like the author makes it seem then why did they leave in the 1st place? I heard from a lot of sources where poor weather conditions may have been the main reason why the Africans had to leave Africa. Second, the author implies that he's against world exploration and that the ancient Africans should've stayed in Africa. I agree they should have never ventured into ice age Europe but black people have done wonderful things all over the world, not just in Africa. There are also many other beautiful parts of the world than Africa.

Also the author's solution that black people should just move to Africa is not a real solution. First off most black people in America (who are descandants of slaves) came from West Africa, not Egypt and then Egypt wasn't even the place of human origin. What about Cush(Ethiopia), Nubia and Kenya? What about the Creoles who came from France but still are classified as "black" by whites? What about the Black Californians who were already native to California before slavery? In fact, the Black Californian fought until the late 1800's to maintain control of their ancestral lands from the settlers. What about the Moors from Spain who still identify themselves as Moors? Should they just block out their own culture and heritage just because they originate from Africa? To me that makes Tep's views no more different than white supremacists by telling people who he thinks they are and where they should be instead of respecting the peopel's wants.

Furthermore Tep is not considering that it is not that simple to just pack up and move to a place like Africa that has so many problems. And then again exactly where in Africa? Africa is a big place, should blacks just pick and choose an African country they want to represent even when they can't trace their roots back to any particular African country? Also many Africans don't even like African Americans and don't consider them to be of them. So in my opinion the solution will have to be worked out where blacks are currently living. Blacks need to learn to work and come together here and that a mental change is more important than a physical move to another country.

Unfortunately many blacks still have the mental chains on and refuse to take them off. I do agree that the "white Jesus" and "Christinsanity" has actually messed up the black mind than helped and that since many of the world's popular religions are based on fraud and bloodshed that Spirituality should be practiced more. But then again religion is too embedded in most blacks and many will refuse to acknowledge any other belief system even if it is of African origin.

5-0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT!
A must read for African Americans! It's like our "bible"! Well worth the price! This book along with The Isis Papers and The Mis-education of the Negro are my favorites! But what I really like about this book are the various topics it covers which are relevant today and for the future. Thank you so much Maaxeru Tep! You're a genius!

5-0 out of 5 stars Maat Kemetic -Soulism
I've been studying Kemetic concepts and rememberance for over 10 years. This book seems to compile all those years of understanding into focus. It is a must read for anyone interesting the the root spiritual purpose of Kemet and how it compares to other sprititual systems. It explains the Diabolical System of Global Europeanism better than anything I've seen.

5-0 out of 5 stars A True Spokesperson for the Ancestors
I've read Medu Neter I & II, Egyptian Yoga, and several other books on the ancestors (KEMETIC / ancient egpytian) spiritual vision of life. This Book by far is the most detailed in the information, and extremely holistic in its approach of outlining and combining contemporary issues such as the 'creation' of AIDS, Capitalism, Foreign Policy, Secret Societies (illuminati) and Pan Africanism, to the structure of Kemetic (ancestral) thought and behavior. The research that Brother MaaXeru Tep has compiled is overwelming. I thank him for presenting information that FINALLY connects ALL the dots.Hotep ... Read more

Product Description
The philosophy and teachings of Yoga were espoused at a very remote time in human history. Scientific and archeological evidence has already proven that ancient Egypt was a highly developed and thriving civilization and substantiates the research that Yoga was practiced in Africa prior to its emergence in other parts of the world. Much of the evidence that is gathered to show the sophistication and refinement of the ancient culture comes from the study of the remarkable monuments and writings that have been left behind by the olden peoples. Yet the question beckons, how was all of that done? What was the technology that was used? What did the people believe in that drove them to such heights? This book answers those questions and outlines the basic teachings and philosophy of Yoga of ancient Egypt that was the impetus for their power. Mystic Integration refers to the harmonizing of the personality so that a balance can be struck with the cosmos, the person and with the Supreme Being. This occurrence on a great scale was the fuel that the olden people of ancient Egypt used to develop themselves and their fellow beings to such a degree that has not been equaled since, but is available now. ... Excerpt: Kemetic Orthodoxy is a branch of Kemetism, a neopagan revival of Egyptian polytheism, founded in 1988 by Tamara Siuda. Kemetic Orthodoxy does not follow a single scripture, but rather a fluid understanding of balance, justice and truth. Worship often takes place in a shrine, which exist in both public and personal forms. Five basic tenets guide the faith of members: Belief in upholding ma'at, Belief in Netjer (the supreme being), Akhu (Ancestor) Veneration, Participation in and Respect for the Community, and Acknowledgment of Rev. Siuda as the Nisut. Members of the faith are known as Shemsu. The main temple is in Joliet, Illinois, with a variety of state shrines maintained by priests throughout the world. The Ankh is a Kemetic symbol of eternal life in both antiquity and modern times.Kemetic Orthodoxy is based on the religious practices of Ancient Egypt. However, it is not only a reconstructionist religion, but an ever-evolving religion that combines ancient and modern practices to create a new, living religion . It has five principal tenets, often described as four main tenets held together by a fundamental belief in upholding ma'at. Note that these tenets are not considered dogma. Although these form the basis of what most members Kemetic Orthodoxy believe, what each individual member believes may vary. The religion does not require that all members practice in the exact same way, and different views are looked upon as merely different ways of understanding God, or Netjer. Ma'at is believed to be the force that keeps the world balanced. Ma'at is considered both a Name of Netjer (manifestation of God) and an abstract concept of balance, justice and truth. Members of Kemetic Orthodoxy believe that this standard must be upheld in all daily li... More: http://booksllc.net/?id=2678885 ... Read more

Product Description
Kemetic Orthodoxy is a modern organized religion based on the faith of the people of Kemet. Since its inception in 1988, the group follows the teachings of Rev. Tamara Siuda, who is the founder of the religion and who continues to serve as the faith's central teacher and spiritual leader. The Kemetic Orthodox religion does not follow a single scripture, but rather a fluid understanding of balance, justice and truth. Worship often takes place in a shrine, which exist in both public and personal forms. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great for research
I picked this book up due to the fact that I was writing a research paper for Sokar.I found this book to be extremely helpful.I would recommend this book for anyone that is researching the Gods in Egypt.

1-0 out of 5 stars A Very Poor Book
I had no idea that Amazon sold "vanity press" books. Because this has got to be a self-published manuscript. There were so many spelling and grammatical errors that it couldn't have been proof-read by anyone, much less spell-checked for that matter.

I'm sure that the author is a sincere follower of the god Sokar, but, this book isn't going to get the god any new followers, I'm sorry to say.

Based on the description on the Amazon page, I had assumed that this book was going to be a tale of the author's personal journey in a spiritual quest that led him to Sokar. And he makes an attempt at this in his opening chapter, but, what he writes leaves the reader with many unanswered questions. The rest of the book is just ancient bits and pieces about Sokar that the author obviously found in other books. There was nothing coherent about the way that they were presented, and the author left it up to the reader to "take as much information away from this book as you possible can and use it well." Well, I can't see how that could possibly happen. It would appear that for the time being, that Sokar will remain "Egypt's Lost God"... ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Unmasking Ethnicity of Ancient Egyptians
The author carefully argues the point of the masking of the racial identity of the Ancient Egyptians by Euro-American scholars and their collaborators. He studies the paintings in the tombs of Sety I and Rameses III to confirm how the ancient Egyptians saw themselves. Then he links this historical masking to the work of Champollion Figeac (the elder brother of the decipherer of hieroglyphics) who not only doctored the iconography of the ancients but severely edited the letters of his young brother. This ignorance or attitude was maintained by the late Henry Breasted and Frank Yurco (of the Filed Museum, Chicago) who translated Nahasi as Negroes and rearranged the order and changed the colour of the paintings in the tombs mentioned.Grantham also points out the errors of Diop, the champion of combatting racism in egyptology.Grantham's book is a landmark of good scholarship, clear and lucid arguments, and bold commitment. Product Description
In our study of Afrikan Cosmology of Kemet, the Nu N Word and the Spiritual meaning of name(s) Negg-ur Negneg ur , Gengen ur are revealed. The power and vibe of words and symbols have become garbled and distorted as Medew Netcher (later called Hieroglyphics by the Greeks) made its journey into English. The Nu N word, in contrast to the colonizing N word, brings us into understanding a state of Unitive consciousness and wholeness, symbolized by the, Golden Sun Egg Uncracked. Our antidote is to rid ourselves from that which has poisoned us with its toxin. If we lie dying from the snake bite of the colonizing N word, is there anything medicinal and serpentine in embracing the Nu N Word, in our journey? Are our youth, seemingly misquided in the use of the N word? As we embrace the Nu N Word we see the probable distortions of ancient harmonics. Our footsteps re-trace a path deep within our Afrikan Cosmology and Cosmogenesis. We (particularly our youth) thereby reconnect ourselves to that which rings true to our story, our healing and our Mother Afrika. Through this reconnection we see revealed that the resurrection of the Medew Netcher is inextricably linked with our own. ... Read more
