Initially as I skimmed the book looking for what it was, I thought it a useless waste of money. As i picked it up and read it, the book had plentiful information on each of the cards. Also very interesting spreads were included for each of the cards and the suits. This is a cool book. It is one of the more unique books of the several available for the famous Crowley deck. ... Book Description
Moira Noonan left the Christian faith in the mid-1970s after suffering a severe accident to which the Church seemed to offer no answers. She went on to explore nearly every path of New Age spiritual practice, mastering such disciplines as psychic healing, clairvoyance, hypnotherapy, reiki, and past-life regression. Her tumultuous life in the occult, and her dramatic return to her original faith, culminating in her deliverance from demonic possession at Medjugorje, are the subjects of this absorbing contemporary classic in the literature of spiritual warfare. Noonan's story has been an inspiration to thousands of people who have felt the inadequacy of New Age-inspired road maps to enlightenment. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Interesting, yet surprising.
I found this book extremely interesting and easy to read. The author is certainly entitled to her belief (which is the belief of the institutional Roman Catholic Church) that every thing "New Age" is demonic and evil, although based on the description of what she experienced, there is no evidence that anything she did caused anyone harm. She claims her "New Age" meditation training helped cure the pain she experienced from a bad accident, which would be a good thing. I suspect that people like Sylvia Browne would be extremely surprised to learn that their spirit guides are evil and demonic!!

It would be really interesting to ask the author if all of her attempts, and the attempts of others, to "manifest" things into being actually worked, considering all the interest in the many books that claim this works (Witness "The Secret" of recent times and "Psychocybernetics" of many years ago). Of course, the author is not "into" that kind of thing now, and is lecturing around the country to debunk the New Age philosophy and practices.

It would appear that she was not comfortable with what she experienced as a "New Ager", and decided that Roman Catholicism was more compatible with her being.

She has written, in any case, a very intersting book.

5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent primer for teenagers.
Ransomed From Darkness portrays a truly lost woman of the New Age, omnivorously ingesting the poisoned fruit of many different occult systems, until she was near spiritual and physical death. The wide variety of practices she experimented with--apparently successfully (she made her living as an instructor)--makes this a particularly good book with which to warn teenagers tempted to dabble in what might seem like harmless fun. It's definitely orthodox and Marian in its conclusion, with a plus for devotees of Medjugorje.

5-0 out of 5 stars Something all Christians (and non-Christians) should read!
This book is an amazing, primary source account of a woman's travel from being a New Age priestess and clairvoyant, to a Roman Catholic, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Medjugorje.

If you want a concise book written by a former priestess in the New Though movement (which encompasses everything from "Course in Miracles", Alchemy, Angel guides, Aura work, Angelic channeling, Astral projection, Astrology, Automatic handwriting, Chakra Balancing, Channeling, Clairvoyance, Crystal healing, Crystal divination, Dousing, Eckankar, Energy work, EST, Ethric Light Body Work, Firewalking, Geomancy, Hands of Light, The "I AM" movement, I Ching, Laying of Stones, Medicine Wheel, Necromancy, Out-of-Body work, Past-life regression Therapy, Psychic development, Psychic healing, Rebirthing, Reitki, Shamanism, Silva Mind Control, Soul Travel, Spirit Guides, Spiritual Psychotherapy, Spiritualism, Table-Tipping, Tantra, Tarot Cards, Trance Mediums, Trance Work, Visualization, Wicca)

It describes after she spent over 20 years of her life as a priestess, clairvoyant, channeler, etc. how she realized it was all a lie and every part of her improvement was lead by Satan. She is now a Christian and speaks about her experiences.

Great Christian resource and great non-Christian wake up to the New Age practices.Guard your senses!

5-0 out of 5 stars Gripping
This book grabs you and will not let you go until you are finished. If one is unconvinced regarding the dangers of New Thought and the New Age, this book is a MUST read.

The chapters are incredibly taught and well edited. This makes the book lean and "quick reading." But these same chapters, while lean, are chock full of one of the most compelling and emotional conversion stories I have ever read.

The author was deeply involved in the New Age. She was a practicing psychic and clairvoyant. I grew up in California and was literally surrounded by the same culture this author talks about. The dangers she shares are real.

The author of this book, perhaps unsurprisingly, has become a charismatic Catholic. Some of the charismatic elements of the book I initially found off-putting (I am not attracted to the Charismatic Renewal and prefer a good old fashioned high liturgy with lots of incense and Chant and Latin). That being said, our Church is a big Church, and the rediscovery of the Gifts of the Spirit within certain sectors of the Church have been a blessing to say the least, despite the inevitable abuses. This is obviously the case with this author. Moira Noonan is a VERY SOLID CATHOLIC and Catholics of all stripes should read this book and get to know how the enemy of our souls is duping many of us.

This is a great book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
An excellent book, I literally could not put it down, and finished it in a matter of hours over two days. Ms. Noonan gives a fascinating account of her experiences deep in New Age and 'relgious science'-type thoughts and practices that reads like a really great personal memoir and testimony. I was touched by her account of how her young daughter seemed to know better all the while, and was practically untouched by all of it thanks to Our Lady's protection despite her mother's deep immersion in this world. A must read for anyone who has ever even slightly dabbled into any new age or occult practices or knows someone who has (that would be just about everyone) An important book. ... Read more

Book Description
Recent years have seen a spectacular rise of the New Age movement and an ever-increasing interest in its beliefs and manifestations. This fascinating work presents the first comprehensive analysis of New Age Religion and its historical backgrounds, thus providing a means of orientation in the bewildering variety of the movement. Making extensive use of primary sources, the author thematically analyses New Age beliefs from the perspective of the study of religions. While looking at the historical backgrounds of the movement, he convincingly argues that its foundations were laid by so-called western esoteric traditions during the Renaissance. Hanegraaff finally shows how the modern New Age movement emerged from the increasing secularization of those esoteric traditions during the nineteenth century. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Thorough and compelling research of new age religion
I have just finished reading this lengthy book after a month of heated night readings.
This one is really a milestone in the research of the new age phenomenon, as it is the first (and up until now the only) book to seriously and exhaustively research the variety of new age ideas, their inter-connectedness and their origins.

Haanegraaf doesn't leave the discussion on a sociological level, as other authors on the new age have frequently done. He isn't satisifed until he enters the core of every doctrine and theory and explains it thoroughly to the reader.
Haanegraaf covers an unusal amount of material over the 525 pages long primary text of the book. He presents ideas and comments about them briefly and concisely but also profoundly and always in an interesting and intelectually stimulating way.

The different observations and structures Haanegraaf presents in this work are bound to become a basis for future research of the new age phenomenon.

This is one of the best books i've read in a while, and a must for anyone interested in New Age.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best, most unique baby name book I've found
In a world of baby name books that are all the same as what you find on the internet for free, this book stands out. With a large intro section on different naming philosophies and ideas on how to make up your own name if you want, it's a complete guide - not just a list of names. Which there are tons of in this book. Many of the names are more common, but also included are names from all over the world. I feel like I'm not just searching for a name for my baby, but also learning a little bit about different cultures around the world to boot!

I nearly didn't purchase the book because of the name, but on closer inspection I was impressed. If there was one suggestion I would have for the author, it would be to change the name. "New Age" doesn't mean the same thing now that it used to mean when it was a newly created term.

Overall, this is a highly original resource for parents looking to name their child something different and/or original, or something with lots of cultural significance.

1-0 out of 5 stars Going to the Web instead
This book is useless. I've already thrown it away. It's much easier to go online by searching with the keyword "baby names". There are serveral sites where you can find names by gender, meaning and origin.

5-0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable book.A real classic.
As there are so many baby names books I found it hard to narrow the choices.I read other reviews of this book and finally purchased it.It was a good choice.I enjoyed this book. Not your average-boring book but a very well researched book. The book has character. One of the most comprehensive listing of names and variations I have ever seen and that makes this book better than most.Interesting trivia throughout too.Plenty of advice on what to consider when naming a baby.

Its a good size book, printed on good quality paper with a unique cover, etc make this book a worthwhile addition.

Book Description

In The New Golden Age, bestselling author and economist Ravi Batra identifies the roadblocks to economic prosperity--and what we need to do to overcome them. Bringing the same insight and expertise that made books like The Downfall of Capitalism and Communism international bestsellers, Batra takes on falling minimum wages, corporate scandals, rocketing oil prices, and many of the other crises facing the world economy. He also offers an expansive, optimistic vision of how the international community can address them and bring about something historically unprecedented: true global economic prosperity.

5-0 out of 5 stars The New Golden Age: The Coming Revolution against Political Corruption and Economic Chaos
An exceptional economics book that tells the truth directly and in simple and completely understandable terms. Scuttles the Media and Political hype and presents what is needful and workable toward economic democracy that is now being submerged be the Global "Free Market" lies, myths and swindles.
Should be required reading for every truly patriotic citizen.

5-0 out of 5 stars Stays on message - still the most potent critic of Capitalism
Ravi Batra is still at it, almost three decades since he penned the classic "The Downfall of Capitalism and Communism: A New Study of History". We have come a long way with this author since then and never been bored. Batra's thesis is that we have entered the era of financial capitalism, the last stage of the Age of Acquisitors, where an increasingly uneven distribution of wealth feeds into increasing financial leverage and speculation, until the system can't handle it anymore and collapses. Following the collapse is financial destitution of many and social chaos. Such an outcome is still the most potent form of criticism of Capitalism. If Batra is at some point proved right that
a) the Great Depression of the 1930s was no fluke and
b) that innovations and safeguards to our financial system adopted since then cannot prevent another meltdown,
then that is a major an indictment of our form of social organization and, ultimately, our way of life.

At the heart of Batra's writings are the ideas of his mentor P.R. Sarkar. Batra has done more than anyone to publicize the message of this giant of modern day Indian thought in the West. This book is yet another installation into that body of work. While the message may no longer be as novel or fresh as it was in the 1980s, his work now builds on three decades of experience, including a multitude of accurate predictions (although the most important one has so far been a spectacular failure - the Great Depression of 1990!). He is now more circumspect about such things, including the adoption of a fiat monetary system in the 1970s and how monetary policy has been successfully used to forestall a major crash. In one sense he is quite correct, our monetary and financial system is an ongoing social experiment. Batra's work is, if anything, a reminder that we take a lot of things for granted. It is healthy to consider the alternatives, such as if the systemic stability were to give way to catastrophe. Central banks all over the world now devote considerable resources into researching this question and government surveillance of the financial market is now commonplace with stock markets all over the world soaring. Interestingly, all of that, albeit important, is not really the key focus of his work. As the name of his new book suggests, it is the glorious new dawn of a world based on the sentient philosophy of his mentor that is his main message.

Time will tell if Batra and the ideas he promotes are the real deal. So far, he has yet to prove the worth of these ideas with his major prediction. However, he has offered many novel insights into how modern capitalism works. For instance, in the 1980s he was one of the first to talk about how the financial sector was becoming the key to social developments in the West. Today, we take such insights for granted. Overall, the ideas he is describing are more than worthy of our careful consideration. Let us also not forget that he made a prediction in the book mentioned above in 1978 that Communism would fall. It did. As is the norm for him, the book is exceedingly well written and the message as fascinating as ever. Batra tends to be a few steps ahead of the rest of us, even if it sometimes looks as if he going down the wrong path. Even if he has made a big misstep, in my opinion, he is still headed in the right direction. The ideas are serious and profound and also filled with hope. The book is highly recommended for the intellectually curious or those scoping about for a more meaningful approach to life than what the real world has on offer in the early 21th century.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Call to Arms!!!
In this book, Batra expains how the economic chaos and political corruption will continue to escalate and worsen over the next few years until the working class eventually rise up like warriors against the acquisitor class (capitalist - Russ Winter calls them the "pigmen") who have infiltrated all aspects of our government, the press, and our society at large. This uprising will dawn a new golden era of prosperity for the masses and the working class. A move away from "trickle down" economics where indebtedness of the masses for the fortitude of the richest has resulted in an increasingly unstable bubble-led economy with resultant record trade imbalances that leaves us (as a nation and society) in a precarious and vulnerable situation.

Editorial Review

Book Description
You can create for yourself ongoing health, effortless bliss, prosperity, youthfulness, and even total mastery by consciously using the power of your mind and your breath.

Rebirthing in the New Age describes an innovative technique called rebirthing. Rebirthing is a breathing process that does for adults what the Leboyer's "birth without violence" method does for infants... transforming the subconscious impression of birth into a gentle and awakening event. This breathing process produces extraordinary results because as one takes in the light, all else is revealed and let go of; thus one's heart is open to receive love, peace and joy. The rebirthing technique is augmented by the use of affirmations. Thoughts produce effects and we create our happy/unhappy world with our own positive/negative thoughts. The idea behind affirmations is to imprint positive thoughts regarding desired changes into the consciousness through autosuggestion, using the emotional response technique.

"The Mind and the Breath are the king and queen of human consciousness."
Leonard Orr

Since the Rebirthing Movement started in 1974, it has spread all around the globe to over ten million people from all walks of life. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars A horrible book on Rebirthing.
(This review refers to an earlier version, copyright 1977 and 1983.)

This is one of the worst books I have read on Rebirthing (the other one is "Celebration of Breath", 1983, by Sondra Ray).I am sorry for saying this but this is how I feel about it.In both of her books (more so in this one) she comes across as a disorganized scattered thinker, who runs to Mr. Leonard Orr with every problem she has.

However, this book contains chapters on the day-to-day lives of people involved in the early days of Rebirthing, going back to the 1970s - the history of Rebirthing in the US.You'll also find in this book a lot of people behaving strangely and badly. This may be quite interesting reading to some.

There is really not much substance in this book about Rebirthing. It will not teach you at all how to do it.What's the big secret? And this is one of the biggest problems with almost all books on Rebirthing.None of them really teaches or encourages you to do them on your own.All say that you should get sessions from a Rebirthing Professional, 10 from a female and 10 from a male trainer.Even after that, when you can do them on your own, you should still regularly get others to Rebirth you.(This can be quite expensive.)

The chapters on Affirmations are ridiculous. They claim that you just write down and say out aloud a few affirmation sentences for a few days (like 3-4 days) and they will all come true.Just like that!

I was really disappointed with this book, especially considering that Ms. Sondra Ray and Mr. Leonard Orr are supposed to be the original founders and current leaders in the Rebirthing field.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of My Top 100 Favorite Books
This book, along with CELEBRATION OF BREATH by Sondra Ray and VIVATION: THE SCIENCE OF ENJOYING ALL OF YOUR LIFE by Jim Leonard and Phil Laut, describes a powerful breathing method that I have used for nearly 20 years or more.It has helped me to access and release emotions locked into muscles as well as simply breathing into bliss, tingling sensations moving through the body, and warm currents moving through meridians.I think it is possible to learn this skill through reading these books, and there are also a number of skilled healers who can accelerate this learning process as well.I encorporate this modality in my own healing work with others. The tools are deceptively simple and I recommend taking the time to do the experiments suggested in the books.

5-0 out of 5 stars Do you want to wake up?This is a Life Changing Experience!
Most people are ignorant to the issues discussed in this book and are walking around pretending to live. You have not lived until you experience the concepts of Rebirthing.I first read this book prior to my first Rebirth in January,1990. I woke up, I was no longer amongst the walking dead, it healed me, Rebirthing is the fastest tool/modality for clearing old negative programming and healing all of our stuff/emotional baggage.I am waiting patiently to get hold of a copy, as I am now a Rebirther and wish to recommend this book to my clients, however it is OUT OF PRINT and I know it is in high demand, so someone should get moving on re-printing this book!Thankyou Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray (spelt S-O-N-D-R-A) for all your amazing fantastic books, I own many of them and I am hoping to have the whole collection before the year is out.Truly amazing reading, it is more than a read it is an experential exercise!!!An ongoing process which transforms your whole life.....!!!

The narrative carries young readers through this age of glorious, and sometimes inglorious, adventure. Follow the timeline of history unfolding; how the early colonies were established; how dissemination of products like the potato, tomato, tobacco, and corn made the Americas a major part of the new world economy; and how the Caribbean became a major trading hub. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Easy as Pie
Very close to the actual version that Lanz plays on his CDs. I detect some slight variations to improve playability by less advanced players such as myself. But this doesn't detract from the beauty of the pieces so I encourage you to get this book if you want to dip your feet (or fingers) into Lanz's beautiful music.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful piano pieces!!!
This music book came recommended by our daughter's piano teacher so we ordered it. There is exquisite music in this collection.

4-0 out of 5 stars Which book do you suggest then
As said by the previous reviewer who said some notes are missing in the books. Do you suggest any other book which is more precise?

4-0 out of 5 stars Song List
Not much in terms of a review to add.I'm just a beginner, and, well, the notes look right:) But I would like to add a list of songs featured, as Amazon has left that out of the description...

This book features the songs:

Behind the Waterfall,Courage of the Wind,Cristofori's Dream,Dream Field,Faces of the Forest,Farewell Amparo,Heartsounds,Leaves on the Seine,Nightfall,Song for Monet,Spiral Dance,Summer's Child,Valencia

5-0 out of 5 stars Lyrical Lanz
If you are a pianist, and love David Lanz you will love this book.If you haven't heard Lanz, then listen to a clip from one of his CD's on this site, and be hooked. This book contains songs from four of his CD's, Heartsounds, Cristofori's Dream, Natural States and Nightfall.

If you, like me, took piano lessons as a child and can play classical music and written music, but lost the love of the piano and the desire to play, this book is for YOU!When I first heard Lanz's CD Cristofori's Dream, I wished that I could play music like this.I hadn't touched my piano in years because I wasn't enjoying the music I could play.I found "Solos for New Age Piano" and found that I COULD play this music."Cristofori's Dream" and "Spiral Dance" are lyrical, romantic and very relaxing to play."Behind the Waterfal" and "Courage of the Wind" are robust and magical, just like the bit of nature they describe.

On first play, some of Lanz's songs seem difficult, but don't give up because the reward of mastering these songs is well worth the effort.I would highly recommend "Solo's for New Age Piano" for any but the beginning piano player. ... Read more

Book Description
In this vividly written, compelling narrative, award-winning journalist Neil Henry confronts the crisis facing professional journalism in this era of rapid technological transformation. American Carnival combines elements of memoir with extensive media research to explore critical contemporary issues ranging from reporting on the Iraq War, to American race relations, to the exploitation of the image of journalism by advertisers and politicians. Drawing on significant currents in U.S. media and social history, Henry argues that, given the amount of fraud in many institutions in American life today, the decline of journalistic professionalism sparked by the economic challenge of New Media poses especially serious implications for democracy. As increasingly alarming stories surface about unethical practices, American Carnival makes a stirring case for journalism as a calling that is vital to a free society, a profession that is more necessary than ever in a digital age marked by startling assaults on the cultural primacy of truth. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars No nonsense numbers
This book gave information in way that I could relate too. It gave the number interpretations from a spiritual perspective and I felt more closely aligned to them due to this. Also there are references to the numbers being expressed in more than one expression, such as the personality number can also act like the life path number if it is the same number if there are some factors missing in the soul growth of the individual.

I didn't always agree with the astrological correspondences given to the numbers, as a professional astrologer, I can get a bit picky with things like that. Other than that, I felt this book deserved a place on my shelf.

5-0 out of 5 stars Go Get Em Lynn!!
Was going to write a review covering pretty much all the info. that Mr. Buess included in his review - so he saved me that effort.I have been referencing this book for years (as well as his great 'Tarot & Transformation') and recommend both wholeheartedly. There is a lot of information here which you won't find anywhere else. You can tell that he's distilled his own experience and observations into the fresh insights which he presents. His works are not just thinly-veiled regurgitations aimed at making a quick buck like most books in the field. It's really too bad if people take half-conscious scribblings like that from 'Luxor' seriously when considering purchasing at Amazon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Numerology for the New Age
Amazon Book Review Editor

I just came across a review for my book Numerology for the New Age which is posted on your sales website. I am aware of the right that each person has to post their opinion, and can live with the different perceptions that people have about published works. However, this review by Luxor of (New York) indicates that the reviewer did not read the material at all and apparently was just intent upon trashing the material.
Case in point. The reviewer calls the author ashe. Clearly anyone who read the book knows that I am a male. Secondly, the reviewer indicates confusion between the life cycles and destiny number. There is no destiny number presented in the book. These two assertions by the reviewer are grievous errors and therefore makes the review irrelevant and undeserving of being posted.
The reviewer complains about mixing astrology and numerology. That is an argument one can make. Every practitioner of the two arts knows there is a correlation between numbers and the zodiac. I have had thousands of clients who have commented positively about the accuracy of the astrological correlations. I have had hundreds of professional astrologers who have likewise said the same. If you are going to leave the inaccurate review posted, then I believe it is only fair to post this response right along with it. Yours, Lynn Buess

1-0 out of 5 stars NOT AMAZED AND NOT THE DEFINITIVE NUMEROLOGY BIBLE!
I never write reviews, but I just had to in this case.In my opinion, this book is honestly a waste of money and I am sorry I bought it.I purchased the book based on the other reviews and I can not recommend this book to anyone. It mixes elements of numerology and astrology. They are two different methods of divination and I am not sure how or why the author comes to the conclusions that she does by mixing the two systems.I found the explanations of yearly cycles and destiny numbers to be confusing and contradictory. If you are looking for a good numerology book/reference, I would recommend Life Cycles: Your Emotional Journey To Freedom And Happiness - by: Christine Delorey and Numerology: Key to Your Inner Self -- by Hans Decoz.

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK WILL AMAZE YOU!
No other numerology book comes close to this one. Lynn Buess is the MASTER of numerology. The insight and direction it offers has been so helpful to me and others that I've shared it with.It IS the bible of numerology, hands down! For 20 years now it's helped me understand the course my lifehas taken and why. This man is amazing! Truly a gifted soul whose insightand knowledge will astound any reader.I promise it will bring clarity andpurpose to anyone's life. The best investment in yourself that you couldever make is to buy this book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Forever grateful for this book
I sent this email to the author today and I thought it would be appropriate to repeat it here:

Dear Bob,
I am about to begin my morning yoga routine and I looked at your book again and I thought I need to let you know how special this book has been to me ever since I took my first yoga course at Cal State Long Beach in 1980.I liked the course and the book so much that I repeated the course for no credit. My teacher's name was Micki, I have no idea what happened to her, but she was the most advanced yoga teacher I have ever met. She knew so much about the poses, meditation, pranayama, and massage and told us about staying in an ashrmam. That was rare back then. My yoga studies have taken me far and wide, but I always come back to your book.
My first book fell apart after several years.I eventually punched holes in it and put it into a notebook, that was good because the pages would lay flat and make it easier to navigate. Then somehow I lost the notebook during a move.I just replaced it with a used version from Amazon.com.
There is a familarity of this book that is just like an old friend.I love how it is organized.I love how dated the photos are.I love the beautiful explanations.I love the routines in the back. They challenge me to do poses that aren't my favorites, or if I'm not really in the mood, it's like having a teacher tell me what to do, or if I want to work a specific area.
There are many fancier books that have come along, but your book is my staple, my foundation, where it all began, and where I keep coming back to.
I know that your career has taken you near and far with many accolades. But for me, just another yogini in Florida, practicing alone on my mat most of these 27 years, longer than I have ever done anything else consistently in my life, I wanted to let you know that this book is my special companion.
Namaste,
Kathy Gardner

5-0 out of 5 stars A Most Thorough Book
This is an incredible reference and guide to Hatha Yoga postures, body musculature and how the postures affect it, breath during postures, use of props and proper body alignment for each posture. There are severalpictures documenting almost every pose and a guide to routines for everylevel of yoga student. And unlike most yoga books out there, this one isnot just full of pretty picutes, there is a LOT of text -- very helpful, concise text that aids you in accomplishing the goal of each pose.It alsocontains a chapter on meditation and the chakras, and has a useful index, appendix and list of additional reading materials. The author does attemptto discuss the new age concept of consciousness and provide a brief historyof yoga, but also stresses that "The main focus of this book is uponthe postures of Hatha Yoga."I've purchased several yoga books overthe past eight years since I've been practicing Hatha Yoga, and this is theone to which I always find myself returning.I will not loan this bookout; I'll buy new copies for friends instead. It's that good.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is excellent for any yoga practitioner!
This paperback book on yoga, published more than10 years ago, is an excellent book for peopleinterested in yoga from beginners to advancedpractitioners. What distinguishes this book from others on the market isthe authors' comments, especially common mistakes and ways to correct them. Of many books on hatha yoga I have seen, this book stands as one of thebest. It is worth a special order! ... Read more

Book Description
A startling book! The first to completely reveal the New Age campaign to deceive and seduce women. Satan knows that if he can capture the mind and body of a woman, he then can quickly move to conquer her husband, her children, her entire family and circle of friends.

In New Age Lies to Women, Wanda Marrs thoroughly documents the almost incredible Plan of the New Age leadership to foster sexual immorality by inciting lust feelings and creating seductive imagery in women's minds. She also explains how the New Age has successfully been able to damage and hurt women psychologically, break up marriages, lure our children into Satanism, cults and the occult, kill unborn babies, and undermine women's faith in God. Must reading for every woman in America! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Such misinformation!
I was given this book by a fundamentalist Christian relative (in hopes of saving me, I'm sure).Just incredible -- I found so many errors in the book, that alone was enough to make me wonder how it ever got published.

Among the items listed that are considered satanic and on the path to hell:
World peace, meditation, yoga, ecology, Tarot, Buddhism, breathing. Ok, I'm kidding about the last one, but it's about that ridiculous! How anyone could take this stuff seriously is way beyond me. Unfortunately, many do and that is getting us into a world of trouble. Literally.

Read this book only if you want a peek into some truly scary "thinking."

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing book
I was extremely disappointed in this book. I could not find one credible statement to support the allegation that New Agers have a secret plan to take over the world. Also, it is offensive to many religions, countries andpeoples. Inflammatory and sad.

3-0 out of 5 stars easy informative reading
For those who are new to the new age and conspriacies VS the bible and it's phrophcies this book is a perfect starting point. This book is fast and simple reading (about an eighth grade reading level) which claerlydefines all aspects of the new age cults and false religions. Those who arealready well informed with the bible, and it's new age counter parts willfnd little new or of interst however. In fact although the book was onlywritten 10 years ago some of the information seems dated. For instancemost no longer belive the 'Mark' will be a tatto, rather more likly acomputer chip will be placed under the skin. This is an excellent book, however, for those who are less well informed of the various symbols andmethods used by the "global Goverment" new age "new worldorder" crowd to contol the masses. ...
