If your going
to read about a secret organisation. it's alwayS best to get info from thaT organisations leader. Don Webb was just that for awhile. I don't know a lot about the temple, it's controversial. But to study the Literature's important. This, besides former memberS aNd reasonable people, is the best one can get perhaps besides Uncle Setnakt's guide to the left hand path. The "Occult Experience" Movie gives a strange view. My moral self's in a dilemma. Fair movie? But then again, What OF Mr. AquinO's fascination with Nazi leaders? ... Read more

Soothing
This CD set is a wonderful addition to the Inner Temple of Witchcraft book. Without these CDs, it would be much harder to go through all the meditation exercises in the book. Penczak's voice is perfect for guiding meditation. If you have difficulty getting down into a meditative state, or if you just want to thoroughly follow the exercises that Penczak has in the book, I would recommend the CDs.

People might complain about not being able to select each exercise individually, but there is a reason for the setup. Most of the tracks last about 20 minutes, which includes a countdown to a meditative state and ending with grounding of energy. If they had separated each exercise into its own track, it would be a disorganized mess. Luckily, they grouped the exercises so that you can get into a good meditative state for a nice amount of time.

Made for anyone with an open mind!
I feel anyone could benefit from this CD set. Meditation is not only helpful for religious reasons, but also for health. I recommended this set to a girlfriend with cancer and to another girlfriend with depression. I believe this was self-healing in ways and relaxing in other ways. I could literally see the images and objects that Christopher Penczak described during the excersices.Also, the narrator has a very comforting voice.

The perfect supplement to the book Inner Temple of Witchcraft. I can not recommend this higher. It is perfect.

Inner Temple Cd Set
This was most definately worth buying it has been a great help in my journey so far. I would most definately recomend this to any one. There is plenty useful information when used with the book.

A must if you're serious...
A must if you're serious about working with the Inner Temple material. The book is an incredible learning tool by itself but the CD's really add a new dimension to the work.I routinely use them to refresh my studies and help my psychic development.

I was fortunate enough to also take the Witchcraft Class I with Christopher and still find the CD's very helpful. I would encourage anyone who is really interested in this topic to purchase both the book and CD's AND to take his class if you can. I've been VERY IMPRESSED with all three.

Great Book
Wonderfully written and packed with great information.For beginners and advanced practitioners alike.You cannot go wrong with this book.It has become a companion to both friends and family.This is a book that we have all read, re-read and reccomend to all.

Common Sensism ?Satanism with Manners ?
This is a repost of a review I deleted a few years ago, when I went back to college.Considering all that I have learned in college, I consider this to be a valid Philosophical system, so I am reposting the review:

I never thought I would be reviewing a book about a subject that is generally lumped-in with "Satanism," but after many long email conversations with rational individuals, and reading a lot of "Uncle Setnakt's" views and columns online, I decided to give this book a chance.I am actually very impressed with this "Guide to The Left Hand Path." As I read the book, I remember thinking, "What, Satanism with Manners?" Apparently, the Setians figured out some things that a lot of Satanists I have met would be better off to practice, as well. I am starting to think of Setian philosophy as "Common Sensism."

Practical initiatory examples of Setianism
I would recommend this book to everyone who is taking his first steps on slippery "occult" ground, and wondering how true initiation looks like. The book offers some very down-to-earth examples of how to achieve individual sovereignty without getting lost along the way. Despite its valuable lessons, the book has some flaws: oversimplification of things like left-hand path. In fact I think it would be far better if the book was entitled "Uncle Setnakt's Essential Guide to the Setianism, since it contains very few things that are directly connected to the real left-hand path. However it offers an intelligible image of some aspects of "modern Setianism". For those who are looking for a good book on _left-hand path_ I'd recommend "Demons of the Flesh" by Nikolas & Zeena Schreck.

JUST SAY "UNCLE"
Uncle Setnakt (aka Don Webb, High Priest of the Temple of Set) has put the "left hand path" into a perspective which is probably contradictory to most people's traditional views on the subject. Such fearsome subjects as black magic, "evil" and Satanism are not defined in terms of malevolence, murder and mahem, but rather as a process by which an individual can attain excellence without the necessity of transcendental obeisance or assistance.

My first impression of this book was that it was kind of a "Chicken Soup" amalgam of disciplines, philosophies and exercises which seemed somewhat anathema to stereotypical Left Hand Path traditions. After the initial cursory perusal, I started over again from the beginning and SLOWLY began to assimilate the ideas presented. I began to realize that nearly every sentence had a potency of its own. I was becoming elucidated by the "darkness" and the psychology of "Coming Into Being" began to cohese with my inner being. My synapses were beginning to fire with excitement!

I am now in the process of reading this book again for the third time...this time with empirical intent rather than simply a vicarious mental acknowledgement of the subject.

The information presented in this book will revolutionize your thinking about magic and the LHP. By putting these ideas into practice, you will discover a cognative evolution being manifested in your life. I highly recommend this book for anyone serious about changing their lives and stepping beyond the occultic dungheap passing for magic these days. Thanks Unc!

good intro to left hand path, despite some minor flaws
good book.i highly suggest this book to anyone interested in the left hand path.it has many essays on pride, magic(k),and mastery for the mind, body, spirit, and the world. it classifies and explains the different types of magick and how they are applied and explains how chaos, order, and life work together. although this book does show some disrespect for the church of satan by saying that anton lavey picked the term satan for only a symbol of rebellion (which he didnt, he did it because of our geographical location is primarily christan based and is most familliar with the term "satan", as opposed to set, baphomit, siva, etc. also anton said what satan represents in the begining of the satanic bible in "the nine satanic statements" and even devoted a chapter to explaning to why he called it satanism.)hower besides this point this book is a pretty true interpritation of the left hand path and how the world works in general, most of which is undeniably true, and well worth reading to help benafet yourself.there is some spots that are left almost incomplete and appears as if it was written in a hurry or without long analagy on some topics, or some sentences could be more specific but are put sort of bluntly and less elaborate than they could be.none the less if you need somethiing extra in life, want to hear what don webb has to say, or just want to read this book for yourself to know what is really in it, i highly suggest it. ... Growing a foundation for spirt
One of the best books/cd sets I have come across. Get the book too, they are complementry, one is less without the other. Written in the same style as The Artist's Way, the author works through each basic step of forming a strong foundation for spiritual growth.Something many of us are missing.Many of us on the pagan path jumped right into trying to do magic.That's like going directly to flying a tomcat fighter jet without even doing time in a simulator!One needs some theory and basic physics to understand modern avionics.This is also true for the quantum physics that make up the manifestation of will as "magic".Wonderful book, wonderful author and the CD set just makes all of this even easier!

Outer Temple Of Witchcraft: Circles, Spells and Rituals

If you are working through the exercises in The Outer Temple of Witchcraft book, this CD set is an excellent companion.The first two CD's contain a series of meditations. The first is on the Goddess and God.The next 6 deal with the elements, including a Spirit meditation and an elemental cleansing.Penczak has a clear, mellow voice, and the new-age style background music sets a nice mood for meditating.Each meditation includes a countdown and count-up.If you have used Penczak's Inner Temple CD set and were annoyed by the way multiple exercises were narrated on the same track, you will be pleased to know that for the Outer Temple CD's each track is a separate meditation in the book.

The third and fourth CD's are different.The third CD is an aid for learning circle casting.It contains three tracks for people at different learning stages.The first track contains complete instructions for the circle casting.Penczak gives "stage directions" to tell you what actions to perform and also recites ritual words.For the second track, he recites the ritual words, but there are no action directions.The last track contains the rhythmic background music from the first two tracks without any words, so you can use it in your own rituals if you desire.This is a really nice tool for learning and practicing, especially if you lack the benefit of a live teacher to guide you.The last CD is a series of 9 chants, each about 3-4 minutes in length, sung a cappella by a small group.The chants are intended to be sung on specific Sabbats (he includes 2 chants for Yule and 1 chant for each of the other 7 Sabbats).The last track is a recitation of "The Charge of the Goddess".Again, this is a nice tool for a beginner who has yet to amass experience and resources.If you are starting out, you may not have heard any chants performed live or collected any recordings yet.This tool helps you get started using chant in your rituals.

I highly recommend these CD's as a companion to The Outer Temple book.Both these and The Inner Temple book and CD's are quality resources for beginners, especially those learning alone by necessity or choice

Outer Temple CD Set
I purchased Chris' CD set to assist me in having a successful meditation.This set does that and more.Before I purchased this set I was unable to achieve a meditation at all.Now, I am able to go into a relaxing and restful meditation.I wish I had purchased the book at the same time from the same seller.Unfortunately for me, I purchased the book at a later date and am now awaiting delivery because it's on backorder.I fully intend on purchasing the Inner Temple of Witchcraft book and CD companion set.I know the Outer Temple is definately worth the money so I feel sure that purchasing the Inner Temple won't be a disappointment.For any one who is seriously contemplating learning how to meditate, this is a beautiful set and inexpensively priced.I cannot recommend it highly enough.Chris has done an excellent job and I thank him for it. ... beautifully crafted activity set based on Indian legend
I awaited the arrival of the Vrindavan activity set with some trepidation.As a native of India, I am wary of well-meaning but misguidedinterpretations of Indian culture.However, this timeI was pleasantlysurprised.

The Vrindavan activity set consists of a stiff, fold-outtemple an altar,and several stand-up figures of maidens, trees, cattleand the Hindu god Krishna.The temple is flat-topped, which is not thetypical shape of Indian temples, but the artwork is intricate andbeautiful, a cross between traditional Indian and more modern styles.Children will enjoy playing with this set.

There is an informationsheet provided with the set about the various characters; however I don'tthink there is sufficient detail for people unfamiliar with Indian culture. This is a pity, because the story of Krishna's childhood adventures andantics in scenic Vrindavan, is one of the most enjoyable stories ever told. I recommend buying a good book to supplement the little informationprovided with the set. You might try Diksha Dalal-Clayton's The Adventuresof Young Krishna.

However even as it stands the Vrindavan activity setis a great deal of fun.Enjoy!

I bought this activity set for my 5-year-old daughter and awaited its arrival with some trepidation.As a native of India I am especiallysensitive to well-meaning but inaccurate renderings of Indian culture. However I was pleasantly surprised.The artwork was intricate andwonderful, a cross between traditional Indian styles and a more modernapproach, and the figures were charming.My daughter enjoys playing withthis set and I have also sent it to children of friends.

The VrindavanActivity set has a fold-out temple, altar, stand-up trees, maidens, cowsand figures of the Hindu god Krishna.It is beautifully illustrated andwell suited for small fingers.There is a page of explanations of thefigures and characters, which might not be sufficient for Western readersunfamiliar with the Krishna legend.This is a pity, because the legend ofKrishna as a young cowherd in scenic Vrindavan is one of the best and mostenjoyable stories ever told.A good book on the subject would supplementthe little information provided with the set.You might try "TheAdventures of Young Krishna" by Diksha Dalal-Clayton.
