Stedman's Electronic Medical Dictionary
I was a bit disappointed in some of the limitations of this version of Stedman's.I'm a medical transcriptionist, and I often find that all of the items I'm looking up in Stedman's aren't there...and I have to resort to a simple "look up" through Word, and then a "Bing" search. It is invaluable, however, for the video capability it has if one needs that, and will give a professional and extended explanation of difficult terms most of the time.

The Dark Side of the Internet
Lee Siegel is a cultural critic, having reviewed books for The Nation, art for Slate.com and televison for The New Republic, in addition to writing essays and articles for Harpers and the Los Angeles Times Book Review. Against the Machine is not quite a complete book, but feels more like a collection of essays collected under the unifying theme that the Internet is changing culture, and not for the best. He likens the use of popularity for YouTube videos, "friends" on MySpace or Facebook bringing people back to seeking approval from the in-crowd at your high school. The anonymity offered by the Internet, according to Siegel, far from freeing people to express themselves freely, offers a platform for online mobs to harass, attack and insult those views people disagree with, with little to no cost. There is a bit of irony in this particular complaint of Siegel's. In 2006 while blogging at The New Republic, Siegel used an anonymous account to also attack anonymous commenters on his blog and to defend and promote himself.

Siegel makes a good point that many of the changes taking place on the Internet have a dark side. That the ability to express yourself on YouTube leads to doing stupider, more dangerous or embarrassing, in order to increase views, that blogging leads to more extreme rhetoric and that the increase of online "friends" only reduces the time one can spend with real-world friends. His argument (or lamentation) of the rise of the average person doing reviews and commentary that was once the bastion of editorial professionals, comes across as self serving and ignores the role of the Internet as a semi-professional training ground. Or those people that will be reviewing this, and his future books on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and hundreds of blogs across the Internet, all helping sell more copies (including this one.)

Garbage, burning
Man, I had high hopes for this book.Very high.Siegel had a great piece in the NY Times a few weeks ago, so I ordered Against the Machine thinking I'd get more of his shrewd analysis of large scale shifts in our culture (see Vico reference in article), and reconciling technology and the internet against them.Against the Machine is exactly the opposite.It is inert.Yes, it is a spirited piece of well written criticism.Yes it is burning.But garbage on fire, with a beautiful glow, is still garbage.

Against the Machine argues that the internet is an undemocratic collection of detritus, at best. Overly commercialized, underdone on any actual expertise.He praised other forms of media, like a newspaper, saying, "it's a loose collection of individual minds that, because of their qualities of difference from each other - differences in knowledge, talent, responsibility, status, authority, ego - occupy in the aggregate a space somewhere between subjectivity and objectivity."

That's a beautiful line, but how is that not the internet?And how is Against the Machine not myopic?

A good idea very poorly executed
This book is a quick read - sadly, that is its only virtue.It was a good idea, to examine the hazards of becoming a society of entertainment consumers and not a society of producers and creative thinkers.Mr. Siegel's real argument seems to be with capitalism itself, but most of his criticism in Against the Machine is directed at those who make money via the Internet.Mr. Siegel makes a lot of claims in this book, but effective claims need the support of evidence, and the author has little more than anecdotal evidence based on his own limited observations.He rambles considerably and, at times, his claims are completely outlandish.Examples:
* He gets off to a bad start in the introduction, where he points out that motor vehicle fatalities in the 1960s reached 50,000 per year, but that "people stopped dying on the road in staggering numbers" when automakers became "safety-conscious."Except that in 2007, over 41,000 people died in motor vehicle crashes.How is 50,000 deaths "staggering" but 41,000 acceptable?
* Mr. Siegel writes, "Ten years ago, the space in a coffeehouse abounded in experience.Now that social space has been contracted into isolated points of wanting..."I'm not sure where the author hangs out, but my local cafes and restaurants practically roar with the sound of conversation.
* The author makes considerable criticism of Bill Gates.He conveniently avoids mentioning the thousands of lives that have been saved through the work of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
* Mr. Siegel hates the distribution of pornography online.Fair enough, I'm not wild about it either.But he makes a simplistic argument that avoids First Amendment complexities.He also brazenly writes, "...your immersion in this online world of forbidden images takes place on your home computer..."Right!It only takes place on your home computer if you seek it out.
* This is how the author describes shopping in a bricks-and-mortar store:"meeting someone new, running into a friend, daydreaming, talking on your cellphone while you browse through the aisles."When I go shopping, I experience crowded parking lots, being jostled by rude shoppers (many of whom are too wrapped up in cell phone conversations), and being insulted by rude cashiers.I'd love to find Mr. Siegel's magical store.
* The author doesn't seem to realize that personal ads and auctions and garage sales were around long before the Internet, judging from his hatred of Match.com and eBay.
* Mr. Siegel describes an actress pretending to be an emotionally scarred teen on YouTube and equates this with George W. Bush's distortions about WMD's in Iraq.To Mr Siegel, every slight is a grievous tragedy.
* Near the end of the book, the author writes that "you are stigmatized as being elitist and antidemocratic...every time you criticize the Internet..."I've heard many public and private individuals criticize the Internet without being labeled elitist or antidemocratic.
Overall, Mr. Siegel seems too lazy, too emotional and too out of touch to prepare a reasoned, mature argument.His complaints are so generic, it's often not even clear what his real argument is.He treats the Internet as some malicious entity, instead of a tool that can be used for malicious purposes by some individuals.He had a good opportunity with this book, and wasted it.Don't waste your time reading Against the Machine.

This book is so good
This book is so good.Siegel is one of the few writers who aren't caught up with all of the hype of Google and Web 2.0.What's popular isn't always what's right and Siegel is right.

Great message, but could have been covered in one essay or column.
He sold me on the book doing some great interviews while promoting it.Good guy, definitely has the right idea.But the book just seems to be repetitive. ... Read more

Great Christmas Songbook!
I use this book every year.I improvise, so having the melody/lead and the chords is just what I need.I do add more advanced or different chords here and there, but the chord selections are great as they are for beginner or intermediate pianists.The melody notes are large enough for me to see, now that I'm old enough to have to wear bifocals.It has a great selection of songs.One of my adult piano students requested a copy after I showed her my copy.

The Best Christmas Songs Ever
Very disappointed.First of all, this book is very small, 6"x9". Secondly, the notes all have the letters inside the note and there is only one staff with the chord name written above the staff.Not what I expected at all.By "easy" I thought it would have both staves and a simple arrangement.

Excellent choice of all time favorites.Good size music score.Only recomendation is that it be published with spiral binding.Difficult to keep open on the piano - I have been using a big plastic bag clip but then when pages need to be turned you need to stop and reposition.I would have been willing to pay another five for this convenience.

This "The Best Christmas Songs Ever" has a lot of nice Christmas music.It is an easy arrangement and would do nicely for a student of piano in about grade two.It did not quite reach my expectations but I have played piano for fifty-five years and have a lot of music.This book did have some songs that I did not have and I enjoy playing from it.It is sold at a bargain price and well worth the money .

Don't Buy this book
I'll try to be short. Don't buy this book. I have knowledge in electronics and he just states some plain wrong facts as to testing components in circuits. The writing is terrible. I don't know who calls this guy an expert ( and he may be) but he does not know how to explain things. Buy this book if you want to remain clueless in repairing electronics. DO NOT BUY!!!! I would have rated it 0 but it wouldn't let me.

confusing to the layman, i cant speak for the pros, but amateurs stay away!
i found this book obtuse and very hard to read. if youre not an advanced electrician i would start somewhere else first as this title spends very little time on the basic mechanics of electronics and is mostly full of 'helpful case histories" which i found pretty much useless. the publishers should take the title and rewrite the entire contents instead of adding on to an esoteric book written 20 years ago in the most confusing venacular ive ever attempted to read. thumbs down.

Disappointing, old info, Not very helpful
I do have this book and it is a disappointment.It list some problems you may have and some steps to try.But if your problem is not listed in the examples your kind of stuck.Trying to list the problems and steps to take that can come up with the millions of consumer electronics devices is not going to work.I don't know what is, but this book doesn't really do what the title says.I have some other H.Davidson books and they are not that helpfull.There seems to be a bag of tricks you can try when repairing things. i.e. ESR meter, flowcharts, curver tracer, overheating chip, call the manufacture, etc. But when those don't work I think you have to study how the circuit works and understand what is happening and what happens when certain parts fail.This can take a long time.Maybe there is a better system, but it is not in this book.

Full of Useful Information
I recommend this book as a good reference, but it helps if you aren't a novice. Sometimes schematics aren't available and you have to learn how to improvise. A person bitten by the electronics bug typically endures hours of frustration and failure before gaining enough experience to troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment. One star is as low as I can rate this.
This book is naffing awful. It does absolutely nothing to teach someone who's new to the material. It turned me off the subject of electric machines for so long. Don't buy it unless it's a required course text, or waste time trying to learn from this book. There are better tutorials to be found on the web using google search. The first part of the book is fine, but once the material gets even halfway challenging (3-phase and referring sides) it's like the author just abandons any effort to explain the concepts and throws you into the deep end with "example" problems that are magically solved with none of the steps being shown, unexplained primed notation and new units of measure everywhere.

Good Job but still had area to improve
It was great that the delivery date was faster that i expected.
But think to improve is the packaging of the book.
Lucky it was not raining session.

Reads like a cookbook, not an engineering textbook!
I've just finished a university course with this book as the reference, and it's not been a happy experience. The author has a poor grasp of the concept of grammar-checking, and doesn't follow his own standards (sometimes including the imaginary "i"/"j" in formulas and sometimes leaving it out).

But the biggest problem is, the author makes no attempt to get the reader/student to understand WHY and HOW machine behavior is derived. Instead of deriving any equations (via KCL/KVL), PC Sen lists the equations as-is and expects you to memorize them.

Unfortunately, this is an engineering course and not English Lit: engineers need explanations and mathematics, not a "plug the variable in here and substitute to determine the answer" book.

Throughout the course the professor would have to point out inconstencies in the formulas provided and direct students to alternative online references as a substitute for this poor book's pitiful attempt at explaining power electronics to readers.

lousy text
terrible textbook

I took this course from the university that the author taught at. the book was this textbook. the pedagogy was terrible, some units such as (At/m) were not properly defined, the commentary was minimal except where it was copied from other books. it seems that the auther cannot be bothered to give a thorough explanation of the the basic concepts, and would only add in text as an afterthought. as a practicing professional in the field and as someone who has taught university level courses, I would say, find another textbook

A good read.
So far I'm ten chapters through the book and it is very straightforward and helpful. It makes learning Electrical Engineering through self study a lot easier. This is also used in the latest engineering classes at my school.Some of the questions need to be clarified for what exactly the author is asking for but I was eventually able to figure things out.It's a very helpful tool for the student engineer.

Learned a shocking amount
I used this book to learn basic electronics so I could pass an employment test for an open position at my work. I combined this book with a college textbook to learn what I needed to know. This book successfully compresses all the major ideas of electronics into tidy chapters. I found this book easy to read and learn concepts from. However, it fell short on circuit analysis,so I turned to my textbook for that.

Good for beginners...
I have a BS in Electrical Engineering. I have been out of school for a while and just started graduate school. Rather than dig back into my old text books I thought I should start slow, something to get my brain working again.

Well if you're like me I definitely would not recommend it. You forget a lot out of school, but not that much...

However, as I read it, I think it would be an awesome book for someone who is 1) Considering engineering 2) About to start engineering 3) Engineering manager who deals with EEs a lot but has no EE background

I kind of wish I had picked it up before I started my degree. It gives youjust enough to not bore you.

Stuck halfways...
This is book is mainly concerned with the theory of electronics, and presents it without getting bogged down in advanced math. However, it does not really explain things - most of it reads like a summary of a more detailed book or an article from an encyclopedia - very dry. Also, I found it rather brief on the practical aspects - here, you will not learn how to read schematics, understand why components are where they are, and take educated guess at how to adapt a circuit for your needs.
In this sense, it is not a practical beginners' book. In my opinion, if you are serious about theory, this is not the book for you, and if you want to do practical projects, you will not find anything here.

I Got a job
I studied this book several times.You really need more than one time through the book (or at least I did) for the concepts to sink in.It is very dense with information.However eventually the concepts stuck and when I interviewed for a tech job I got it.I guarantee that without this book I wouldn't have gotten it.Thanks a bunch Stan!

A great book for junior high students, or...
I am taking a college level course in EE and bought this book in hopes of deciphering some of my cryptic Hambley text. I think this book was quite a bit low-level for my needs, but it would be an excellent intro for a junior high school student. This book assumes absolutely no knowledge of Physics, or really math for that matter. The chapter questions are all multiple choice and very basic conceptual questions. But, it does touch on a lot of topics, giving a nice broad view of the field. I give this book 2 stars for my needs, but I rated it 3 stars because I think it is probably very good for someone who has no knowledge of basic Physics. ... Read more

Very Best Book for its Purpose - Prerequisites Recommended
Speaking from the view of an electronics technician who later became an educator (BS in Secondary Ed - U of TN 1980), I believe it accomplishes its purpose for being published (>90%)!Knowing there are no perfect books or authors and one book can not teach you everything about such a complex technical subject, The Electronics of Radio is a very well written and orgainized book.

However, having built one of the ORIGINAL NorCal 40 transceivers kitted by the Northern California QRP Club (years before the book was written), and having used this radio to make hundreds of contacts across the US and Canada as KD4ZPA & KS4RT, I would recommend the following books be read first!

Basic Radio: Understanding the Key Building Blocks by Joel R. Hallas and published by the ARRL.

Basic Radio describes radio theory in a much simpler, non engineering, manner.Its first few pages gives the background for basic communications almost 200 years ago and without boring the reader continues to give good examples, diagrams, and illustrations as radio communications progressed through the years up to today's modern digital communications equipment.

For a more in depth study of basic electronics, I recommend,

electronics DeMYSTiFieD by Stan Gibilisco and pubished by McGraw Hill.

Both of these authors are college teachers (Professors), but do a very good job of making what could be boring reading at times, very interesting and engaging.Very little higher level math is required, but both books teach the same concepts in a more easily understood manner than is possible through a book like, The Electronics of Radio. Either or both of these books will make understanding The Electronics of Radio easier!

A decent book
This book is the sole textbook for the two-term intro ee course EE20 at Caltech.Having gone through every page of this thing quite thoroughly, I can say that it is ok at what it attempts to do.It has decent instructions on how to build and test a NorCal 40A radio.Having a well-stocked lab and lots of test equipment helps you get what you should out of the book, and I'd say it's almost essential to actually build the radio to get everything you can out of this book.Beyond the build, this book, and its course, are a sort of intro to circuit analysis, although in this aspect I find it lacking, with brief descriptions of techniques and circuits that either are not clear or leave too much out of the discussion.For more basic/general E&M a book such as Physics for Scientists and Engineers by Serway and Jewett would be far more useful, and for more advanced circuit analysis techniques, something along the lines of Microelectronic Circuits by Sedra and Smith is a good choice.This book would be good for those interested in the inner workings of a radio and some bits and pieces of RF stuff, however I must emphasize that the building of the radio (which would be fairly expensive) and testing of it are where the real value of this book lie.I must also emphasize that the resulting radio is pretty fiddly and not a practical piece of kit.However, if you buy this book and don't build the radio or do the exercises, then you probably bought the wrong book.

excellent textbook for serious radio amateur operators
Our library ordered this book last year and since then I
have been reading on and off when I get spare time.

Beening quite a novice on radio electronics and a amateur radio
operator(bx2ah, ex-bv2wn) in Taipei, Taiwan I am very much

Awesome Book
is the book I've been looking for! That what I say about these electronics book in this modern day.older books like this is a classic. I strongly recommend this book to beginners want to learn the subject.

The best.
I used this book for a year long electrical theory course, and it explains the subject in a clear and nearly error free manner.I am now looking to study electronics, and will use this book as the information source.I lost my original copy, but found an older edition in a used book store.It is probably the best book covering electrical theory, and I assume as well electronics, I have seen.It is simply a well written book, that uses basic math, and excellent explainitory material to cover the subject.It is too bad this author has passed away.

The Standard in Basic Electronics
I have read this textbook many times over the years, by that I mean various editions. I always come back to it when I want to refresh my memory on electronic fundamentals. Think it's a great book!
My husband thinks it's an excellent book for learning the basic fundamentals of how electronics work and how to fix them. It's a great asset for a beginner amateur electronic technician. He reads it all the time and it has been helping him fix some of his electronics such as DVD players. He loves the book! It covers alot of the much needed basic/starting information he hasn't been able to find in his other books. Highly recommend it for someone who is just starting to learn about fixing electronics. It covers the "what is", the "how to's" and the tools that are needed for testing and fixing.

Must reading for the electronic novice!
This is perfect reading for the electronic novice who desires to understand how to go about the difficult subject of troubleshooting circuitry. It's well written and easy to understand and has plenty of graphics for visual viewing.

Is not the best source of information
If you are looking for a book that will show examples and techniques of how to fix electronic devices this is not the best option. It does have some basic information about testing basic components but other than is useless.This book falls short in teaching the fundamental techniques for troubleshooting.

Out in the blue
The title says a little about what's really in the book.
Just another book describing elemenatry electronics rather than troubleshooting it. A lot of jibberish around the real task "troubleshooting", then some quick views of informative how to find the faults (some to quick to follow at my experience level). The real troubleshooting pages could easily fit in a small 50 page notebook or less. When it comes to the real relevant stuff, then it is quickly done and the real juicy bits are left out. I'm new into electronics and must say that I expect more from a book with such a tile. I must say that I really don't know how on earth this book is aimed for. Not a beginner nor a pro.
Best thing about the book is that it's hardcover. Else a lot more should be expected from a book like this, according to its title. Save your money and get another one (or by mine cheap). ... Read more

Good book. Not as good condition.
The book is Ok, but not as in good condition as described. It said like new but the front page started to tear down ( I had to use glue to fix it). It also has a lot of markings and writings. I kept it because I needed it asap and I dont wanted to go through all the hassle to send it back. Next time I ll look for a more detailed description of the item before buying.

not satisfied
It was missing worksheets and the CD that are used in my class.I would not recommend buying it from Amazon, it would have been better to spend the extra money and buy it from the college.

Good Automotive Electrical systems book
This book isn't perfect, but it is one of the better ones I have found so far. I'm a novice when it comes to electrical systems. This book speaks at a level I can usuallyunderstand. The author starts from the beginning--with a thorough explanation of electricity and things like Ohms Law, and then builds on that knowledge. Once in a while the author may assume some knowledge that a beginner doesn't have, but if I reread the sections, I usually can catch on.
At the same time, it is very thorough and complete. I wouldn't think a person would need more than this book offers to be able to understand most automotive electrical systems. If you can get a used copy at a fair price, it will be a useful book in your library.

Pretty Good electrical autoDiag book
I reviewed a previous edition andoverall thisauto electrical diag book is very good among the many auto diag books out there.the author always seems to have the insight of how this system or component really works and how to approach the diag from this specailized knowledge that a standard text or manual simply leaves out.

I saw that the new edition is expanded with more electrical diagrams and more explanations;so i would imagine this book will be a student reference and a good seller as well.

Not so great - unless you want 100 year-old material in a new cover
The book essentially repeats the theories and provides descriptions of electrical concepts that have been taught the same, old way for years. There's nothing new here, and a great many books from the 1960s offer better discussions and explanations. Save your money.

I purchased this book for my husband. I did so thinking it was trhe actual text book, but it turned out to be the study guide for the text book! I was not pleased when I recieved the book. NO WHERE on the ad for the book did it stsate it was a study guide. I didn't return it because he can use it for the class he will be taking. But, I still am not happy I was mislead.
This will not stop me from buying books from Amazon, I have bought some since then, I just want you to be aware of the misleading ad.

Excellent Technical Reference
For those of you who are looking for more than the typical Automotive Magazine information regarding automotive electronics – this book is a GOLDMINE. It is the best technical reference I have ever seen and the information is accurate. The author James E. Duffy knows more about modern automotive electronics than anyone else that I have found does. This book impressed me so much (after I had borrowed a copy) I searched it out on the net to purchase my own copy. Mr. Duffy covers the electrical systems in depth, all the ins and outs of computer control in the Big Three plus more. What interested me the most of the practical hands on approach to testing sensors and the specs of devices used. Want to know they typical outputs of Oxygen Sensors so you can test them with a handheld digital meter rather than buy some $$$ outdated tester? This is the book for you. Another example – one concise page covers pulling the trouble codes from GM, Ford and Chrysler vehicles. The garage charged my son $$$ to pull the codes on his Neon and said the results were inconclusive. I was able to pull the codes using the steps in this book and trace it to the EGR Solenoid. Starters, alternators, injection, it is all here in one book, you can throw away all the Fix- It books sold in auto parts stores which have maybe one chapter at the back covering eight model years of changes on three pages. I don’t think you will find anything better than this book. Good Luck.

I felt the book was outdated. Much of the content seems to be from much earlier editions and not relevant for todays more sophisticated automotive electronics. Noise Reduction Techniques In Electronic Systems, 2nd Edition Books
These books were excellent for the work that is now performing in our line of work.

Excellent book
Very good book, with little equations and down to Earth comments about issues EMC. Problem is that the book is from 1988 and all the initial discussion about FCC regulations is a bit outdated. Nevertheless it is a very good reference and I am glad I have it. Btw, I bought mine through one of Amazon's resellers so I dont have the pretty cover. I am not done reading it all but I am almost 1/2 way in and the material is very good.

Imprescindible
If you are a beginner or work in the EMC field, is the best book to start with. Many of other books have it as a reference. There is a new book from Mr Ott (2009) but I still haven't read it, in any case this one is a classic that is worth buying.

A reference books in noise control
BOOK: NOISE REDUCTION TECNIQUES IN ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS
Depite this book has a lot of years, the basic principles have not changed and I find this book very instructive to learn things as types of noise, crosstalk, radiation, grounding and shielding techniques or cabling. Henry W. Ott and his book, are a reference in the world about noise control and EMC concepts.

Written in easy way to understand, with very little equations, I suggest that if you want to have a copy of one of the most famous books on this science, buy it

BOOK: ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY ENGINEERING
EMC topics are so complex that an expert is an expert because it acquires a high degree of specialization in a particular area of this science. This is the case with Mr. Ott, which I and many other people consider the world's number one expert in noise control in electronic circuits. He has a great ability as a communicator. I encounter fascinating his new book, it has given all the issues clearly. The book is well organized, easy to read and understand and you can jump from one chapter to another without losing any information. I highly recommend this book to all the people who want to learn more about this exciting science.

Couldn't put it down.
I build EEG sensors, and I started reading this book, expecting something like The Art of Electronics, except more detailed and covering only noise techniques. Instead, I got much, much more. The diagrams made *much* more sense than Horowitz and Hill's AOE, and the explanations were clear and consise. I was able to read it cover to cover in a weekend without getting bored from too much detail, and it had many many real measurements of noise in systems that made the information much more quantitative.

For instance, instead of saying "in order to get the most noise reduction, you need to use a shielded cable only grounded on one end", he says "a shielded cable grounded on one end has 84dB of attenuation to magnetic noise and much more for electric, while if the shield is grounded at both ends the attenuation is more like 36dB".

Those numbers are critical if you're trying to balance signal quality with cost.

Finally somebody got it right
I really enjoyed reading this book. I work on health care IT in Germany and this book provides good mix of theory and practice. I particularly liked the insight into how much computer science is hidden behind key health care problems like grouping or searching patient records. I would recommend it to any health IT pprofessional who wants to go deeper into the EHR management.

Excellent Book
I teach computer science. This is a great book to introduce myself and
students to the medical records world. The chapters are
self-contained, and have a good balance of basic and advanced
materials. I also like how there is a chapter that ties everything
together and provides a roadmap to the rest of the book. Also good
discussion on privacy and data mining.

Get more practical
This book is good but outdated. In any event you cant expect to get the wholy grail of trading in one single book. You need to read and test and test again until you come up with a trading system that produces you consistent results.

Above all you need to focus on a set of stocks and sectors that you feel comfortable with. Personally I like momentum trading, because when you get to master a momentum trading strategy you are able to generate a good amount of cash in relatively short period of time every day.

The main thing with momentum trading is that youve got to learn how to identify and handle the best momentum opportunities. In other words be able to separate the good opportunities from the bad ones.

Some places on the web offer good information on the subject. One of them is Chathotstocks com

Just dont forget that a trader cant never stop learning. In trading it pays to know more than the crowd.

Read Chapter 5
Picked up this book at our local library. Was'nt expecting much, but then I flipped through to Chapter Five.

Chapter Five is worth the book price. In it you will learn how the market is moved, by watching the bid/ask prices and size.

I only trade futures, not stocks, but the information in chapter five confirmed the reality of trading in all markets. The strong money will win - every time - at will. You need to know what to look for and which side they are on.

Great Read!
I read both of Nassar's books and they are both excellent additions to anyone's library on trading.He is clear, direct, firm, and no nonsense.That is what I like about this author the most.He does no selling in the book and only offers information, page after page.I have read many books on trading and most authors have something to sell, Nassar's book makes you search for how to reach his firm,...I think he is world class in his approach and has integrity.His material is simple to understand and the ideas are easy to incorporate into trading yet rewarding.He makes it clear that trading success is about you, not a magic formula that so many portray is possible, which in fact is not.Read Nassar's books if you want it straight.

Read the title, and then review!
A lot of the reviews here are unecessarily harsh.The title of the book is "How to Get Started in..." It is not an end all be all of day trading books, but it is a highly informative book, and I believe it accomplishes what it sets out to do (get a novice's feet wet in day trading).I wouldn't start day trading with this book alone, but it is a good start.
