Dehanna Bailee Invites You To Get Your Copy Of Charlotte Dillon, Sharon Fernleaf, Leslie P. Garcia, Peggy Hazelwood, carolyn HowardJohnson,Gail Jenner, Ann Josephson, Catherine karp, carol Kluz, David http://www.geocities.com/dehannabailee/cookbook.htm
Extractions: Dehanna Bailee invites you to get your copy of return to website "Cooking by the Book" A collection of recipes from more than two dozen authors ~ About This Book ~ Cooking by the Book was put together as a labor of love by more than two dozen talented writers; who just happen to be wonderful cooks as well. The main goal in this undertaking was to offer loyal readers and website visitors a gift to show our appreciation. During the process of completing this project, all of the writers took great pains to fill this little e-book with favorite recipes, short biographies, and even some excerpts from the books that tie in with the appetizing foods you'll find listed. As you read through the finished cookbook, we hope you discover many delicious recipes, learn a little about each author, and be tempted to sample a few of the dishes; and at least a little of our writing. A lot of effort went into completing this offering. The driving force behind it, and the person who got the ball rolling, is a gifted author by the name of Kathleen Walls. She served as contact, editor, planner, and even finished the attractive cover for the finished e-book. A number of other writers put on their editors' hats to help out, including Dehanna Bailee, Phyllis Cambria, Charlotte Dillon, Leslie P. Garcia, Peggy Hazelwood, and Ann Josephson. Other authors, like Carol Kluz and David Leonhardt stepped forward to handle promotion.
Extractions: The featured speaker was Charlotte Lunsford Berry, a professional volunteer and highly decorated woman who spent the late 1980s traveling the world as the national chairman of volunteers for the American Red Cross planning and supervising activities for 1.8 million volunteers. Needless to say she was a most inspiring kickoff speaker to a club that is bound to become a driving force in the Athens community. Classic Seens: My daughter, soprano Julianne Webb, will be in recital at the UGA Ramsey Concert Hall on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. with Damon Denton as her accompanist; Elaine Johnson at the post office being awfully nice; Chris and Ron Mozley moving to Columbus; Kevin Pike being helpful.
Officers - About - Asia Society Cultural Programs. carol P. Herring Vice President, External Affairs.Karen karp Vice President, Marketing and Communications. Shin http://www.asiasociety.org/about/officers.html
Extractions: President Nicholas Platt, the fifth president of the Asia Society, has spent most of his life working on relations between the US and Asia. He assumed his current position in 1992 after a thirty four-year career as an American diplomat in Asia which culminated in service as US Ambassador to the Philippines (1987-1991) and Pakistan (1991-1992). Ambassador Platt's involvement with Asia began as a student of the Chinese language in Taiwan in the early sixties, and continued with Foreign Service assignments in Hong Kong (1964-68), Beijing (1973-74) and Tokyo (1974-77). In 1972 he accompanied President Nixon on the historic trip to Beijing that signaled the resumption of relations between the United States and China. He was one of the first members of the U.S. Liaison Office in Beijing when the United States established a mission there in 1973. In the course of his government service, Ambassador Platt served in several capacities in Washington, including China analyst, Director of Japanese Affairs, National Security Council Staff Member for Asian Affairs, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (responsible for politico-military relations with Japan, Korea, China and Southeast Asia), Acting Assistant Secretary of State for UN Affairs (1981-1982), and Executive Secretary of the Department of State (1985-1987).

Carol Hoernlein , a native of the New York metro area, studied voice with Kathy Barr of Broadway fame before becoming a member of a few alternative bands in the early 90's, and supplying the vocals and lyrics for "Yuppieland" which achieved airplay on WDHA in the New York/New Jersey area, and on college radio. Carol has also performed at CBGBs, and on BAI public radio with The Great Pancakes O'Malley. After hearing Peter Karp's songs in a spur of the moment jam session with friends in an old stone pavilion at the foot of the Palisades in April of 1997, Carol was an instant fan. She began singing with the band shortly after that. Her Rock and Roll vocals and earthy attitude (not to mention her hiking boots) have earned Carol quite a few nicknames, from "The Rockin' Freulein" to "Deep Woods Barbie"...

What you're proposing is what E-Speak2.2 planned to do: have the default case be not to shorten paths (the case actually implemented), and then have a path shortening Granovetter introduction be something a program can explicitly request (AFAIK, their plan for this was sound, but it never got implemented). I remember arguing with Alan over this years ago (remember Alan?), but yours is the first rationale for the E-Speak position I understand. I remember, and you are correct that we never got around to implementing the introduction protocol. The ability to interpret the permissions differently for requests made along different paths was part of our thinking. Alice can always act as a broker between Bob and Carol by forwarding Bob's requests and Carol's replies. If Alice doesn't want this role, she introduces Bob and Carol saying to Carol "Here are the things I'll do on Bob's behalf. You might as well do them for Bob directly." Carol can do that, of course, but she may decide to do more or less for Bob depending on, say, his credit rating relative to Alice's. Setting up this behavior was quite simple with because the capabilities were given to Bob by Carol, not Alice. >

Extractions: P ractice The Politics of Exhibiting culture: Legacies and Possibilities Carol E. Mayer Thesis/Key issues: The goal of this project is to produce a publication, not a standard catalogue, that will address the problematic dichotomy between what Shelley Butler in her article "The Politics of Exhibiting culture: Legacies and Possibilities" (Museum Anthropology 23(3):74) has identified as "critical and optimistic perspectives on exhibiting culture." As a curator, I find myself caught in the middle of this dichotomy. Like many curators, I was caught unprepared when the controversy surrounding the Canadian exhibition "Into the Heart of Africa" initiated (perhaps forced?) some fundamental changes to existing notions of power, authority and voice. Clearly, we are now working in a highly public politicized environment that has required us to be more reflexive about our practice. . Museum professionals have shifted to a much more collaborative approach to public representation and there is a general recognition that the exhibition is not the final word, rather it is a negotiated space where old and new ideas coexist in the spirit of collaboration. My impulse is to experiment with water-based media on paper. It is a " WHAT IF " attitude that motivates me. If I do this, then that, what will happen ? Three considerations motivate me to use the particular technique that most excites me in art. They are freedom, risk and curiosity. These psychological aspects satisfy me personally. About the work of Carol Lyons: " Whenever I see a watercolor by Carol Lyons, I'm impressed by her natural feeling for the magic of the medium.
