In the course of history a lot of colossi - huge statues - have been made, like the Colossus of Rhodos. It was made in the third century BC and was higher than 30 meters. It watched over the harbour, spread-eagled across the banks. It was considered as one of the seven Wonders of the World. The Colossus Neronis represented Nero as sun god.
