5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Fascinating!
Alan Baker covers just about every side of ufology, obviously well thought out and researched. This book is what really got me into the subject of alien encounters and abductions, and it's a great intro to anyone just getting into the idea of ufos and aliens. A definite must-read!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Read
I thought Baker covered every aspect of the unexplained extremely well, with just the facts. The rest is left up to you.

4-0 out of 5 stars A page-turning overview of high strangeness
Mr. Baker's historical overview of "alleged alien presence" on Earth is a compelling read.He not only covers the early "contactees" and standard human-alien abduction scenerio(andbasically dismisses the entire phenomenon as mass fantasizing based onscience fiction tropes), but also delves into the high strangeness world ofalien underground bases, human-alien hybridization, the PhiladelphiaExperiment/Montauk Project, the Illuminati, alien bases on the Moon, genetically engineered human slave laborers on the moon and Mars,you-name-it bizarro wackiness. If its out there Mr. Baker reports on it. Although Mr. Baker strives for objective reportage, he often can't helpbut come across as skeptical (hence the word "alleged" in thetitle). His explaination (such as it is) for much of what passes as"the abduction experience" is chalked up to the fantasizing ofthe mythopoetic faculty of the imagination; an explaination that begs thequestion in light of the vast amount of still and video evidence thatsupports the contention that something strange is happening in the skies. Evidence that is simply not in the purvue of this book, and which, I think,is a glaring omission. While I cringed at times at his dubiousconnections and skepticism masquarading as objectivity, Mr. Baker hasnonetheless written a compellingly interresting book.Anyone seeking apeek at the history of alien wierdness should read this (and then maybe goout and mow the lawn).

4-0 out of 5 stars Intelligently researched and beautifully written
Anyone with the slightest interest in the possibility that Alien SpaceCraft exist should read this book. Mr Baker takes nothing for granted, nordoes he indulge in idle speculation. He leaves the reader to form his ownopinion after being taken by the hand and guided through the maze of whatcould be described as the unbelievable to the highly probable. Theresearched material and the style of writing made this book hard to putdown and is a thoroughly enjoyable read. Although Mr Baker does not try toforce his reader to believe, he really does provide some very compellingevidence. I personally am not, or I should say, was not a believer in thepossiblilty of Alien beings but, after this powerful study, I now feel thatthis very important subject should be in the interest of everyone toexplore further.. If you have only the slightest interest, read this book.I for one will be watching for any new titles on this subject by Mr Baker. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What a lesson!
I first read this book to my twins today ~~ I know they're still young but I want to start reading books that has lessons in it. This one should be a classic!

Mr. Toad wakes up after a long winter nap. He goes walking to find a wife. Only on the way to the pond, he comes onto a road and almost gets smashed by an oncoming car. Why? Because he didn't stop, look and listen!

This book teaches children how to cross the road safely so they won't get run over by drivers who may not be able to see them. Basically, it teaches you to stop before you cross the road, look left and look right and look left again to make sure there is no car coming and you listen for the car too. Then when all is clear, then it's safe to cross the street.

This book is illustrated beautifully ~~ even I like it. The story is cute and importantly, it is entertaining even if it is a lesson book!
