They don't write them like this anymore
This is a concise, well written description of mechanics. The author does an excellent job of describing the fundamentals of breaking down complex problems into "textbook" Hamiltonian and Legrangian mechanics problems.

My professor primarily taught from this book in my graduate physics course in Mechanics for good reason.
