Although we enjoy auditing rival clubs under the authority of the Student Discipline and Handbook Club, and voicing our highly intellectual opinions to the ignorant student body (ahh, like casting pearls before swine) under the title "Incidental Thoughts", we relax with a tension-easing game of croquet out on the west lawn adjacent to the patio. NICK MCCULLAR Date Period Game Synopsis and Results C-Period Jessica Van Der Meer won both of two games on the first day of final exams. She defeated Croquet champ Nick McCullar, and her own boyfriend, Will Thompson. C-Period A quick and fast deteriorating croquet game took place today. Will, Alex, Arya, and Jacob Rosenblum played under the first sun of the day. Will and Alex took the lead quickly after much messing about by Arya and Jacob. The game gave way to contests to see who could hit the ball the farthest, who could hit the ball with the most accuracy, who could break the most croquet mallets etc. Croquet fans Zac Crofton and Ray Rendleman were each given a chance to hit a few balls. The actual game that occured was won by Will with Alex taking second place. C-Period Shaylor is a senior, and found himself at the end of the end of his high-school education as well as his membership with the LHSCC. In honor of this, Shaylor, Thompson, and McCurdy played one last round of croquet together... in the rain. Shaylor was determined to beat the game in spite of being the first one off the turning stake, but lost. Thompson won the game. The Lincoln High School Croquet Club salutes Adam Shaylor as he leaves the campus for the last time (sniff).
