Brad has been great getting back to us (nobody wants the wrath of Sailing Anarchy scorned!) and gave us this update. More as we get it. The Ed. There are a bunch of young Americans who are very committed to the match race circuit. There is no one place that these sailors can train that has a match race "program". The Scandinavians / Danes / Northern Europeans have developed what are best described as Match Race Centers which are churning out the world's best small boat match racers. (Most of the top 10 ranked match racers in the world are products of these Match Race Centers). While the US has developed some of the best fleet racers in the World of Sailing, and although some of our best sailors have had good results in the Swedish Match Tour, there is a demand for programs that are specifically developed for training match racers. Sailors love the discipline, and we are in a good position to offer the program to the beginning match racer, right up to the likes of Andy Horton and Mason Woodworth that are right now rising stars in US Match Racing.

Fin da quando è stato proposto la prima volta, è stato subito evidente che questo divertentissimo sport si sarebbe imposto rapidamente, attraendo anche persone che probabilmente non avrebbero provato interesse per l'aquilonismo acrobatico, e andando ad occupare una nicchia ricreativa simile a quella del windsurf. Dal 1987 il neozelandese Peter Lynn , un ingegnere meccanico con una lunga esperienza come consulente nelle regate dei 12 m., si dedica con grande impegno e passione alla ricerca per lo sviluppo nel settore del Kitesailing. A lui infatti si deve sia il progetto di un aquilone dal rivoluzionario profilo ellittico (il Peel) capace di sviluppare grande trazione, sia il progetto del Buggy (il triciclo con sterzo diretto utilizzato per correre sulla terraferma) e praticare quindi il BUGGYING, sia ancora quello di uno speciale trimarano (BUGGY BOAT) il cui standard adesso in commercio è il risultato della realizzazione di una quarantina di prototipi.

I'll add new information as I come across it or originate it. Check out the Cobh People's Regatta site. It's my local, and I donated the design of the site to the project. The boating and sailing of my childhood and teen years was all practical and picked up on a need-to-know basis. Course to steer was not an issue. Apart from some localised spots, tidal vectors around Cork Harbour and the South are parallel to the coast. There were other non-issues.
