In addition to athletic facilities and fields at the secondary school, the district owns and maintains a rowing facility on the Potomac River for its crew teams. All teams compete in the Patriot District of the Northern Region, a highly competitive district. The school has a tradition of success for its teams, in district, regional, state and national/international competitions. T.C. Williams is the only school division in Virginia that requires student-athletes to maintain a 2.0 grade point average for athletic eligibility. The many achievements of deaf athletes, and the variety of both national organizations and deaf organizations serving deaf athletes, are discussed.
