Extractions: Skibiking, itself, is not new In Europe, it has been a mainstay winter sport for over 50 years. There are even national skibob competitions. That's what they call skibikes over there - "skibobs". In the U.S, seeing a ski bike on your local mountain is rare; however with the introduction of our awesome MonoTrac, we hope to draw more snow enthusiasts into the sport than ever before. The U.S.-designed Koski MonoTrac is the first production skibike with high performance long-travel suspension enabling it to absorb moguls and other unfriendly terrain at extreme speeds. The maneuverability and control possible on our skibike has to be tried to be believed. We designed the MonoTrac to perform on the level demanded by the hardcore sports enthusiast and we can almost guarantee it will induce drooling in the typical adrenaline junkie. But don't let the sophisticated motorcycle-style design intimidate you. Learning to ride the MonoTrac is sinfully easy. The learning curve is a small fraction of that of skis or snowboards. Beginners can build confidence quickly. Also those sidelined from skiing or snowboarding with limited athletic abilities or weak knees can have fun on a skibike. Extractions: The snowbike is like a bike, but without the wheels. There are skis under the bike. On the feet, we have little skis too. In front and at the back are the shock absorbers. The saddle are longer than the saddle on a Mountainbike. We drive the bike on the same courses as the snowboarders or the skiers. Snowbiking is not more dangerous than skiing. Because we have the shock absorbers, we have no problems with the back. Then, in December, we begin the worls cup season. We have about sixteen world cup races in eight destinations. Then, once a year, we have the world championchip for one week. We have the same races as the skiers: slalom, giant-slalom, super-G, downhill-race and parallel-slalom. In the downhill-race we have the speed up to 100 km/h. The birthday of the skibob goes back to the 19 th century. In 1892 an American, Stevens, was registered a patent for a one lane sled with handlebars. Development was never finished. In 1911 the velogemel was patented in Grindelwald (CH). Since 1950, the skibob continued to be developed.
