Product Description
Never Lose At Arm Wrestling Again!Whether you want to be world champion or just beat your friends, the Ultimate Guide to Pro Arm Wrestling will show you how to easily defeat your challengers!Guys talk all the time about their max bench press or how big their biceps are, but numbers can never tell us what we really want to know:Who is the strongest? But there is a way to answer this question. The answer is arm wrestling, considered by many to be the ultimate test of strength! What is not as well known is that, in many ways, arm wrestling is just like any other sport. The truth of the matter is that technique is every bit as important as strength in determining the winner of an arm wrestling match.Certainly, strength is important, but a person who knows the secret techniques used by professionals can often beat people who are 100 pounds heavier than they are!If you master the technique, you can appear stronger than people twice your size by easily beating them in a match! It is this secret knowledge that is the topic of this book. Most of the information is geared toward matches that take place on a professional arm wrestling table, but this information is easily applied to matches taking place on other surfaces, like the kitchen table or even the floor. If you are interested only in recreational arm wrestling, you will find Chapter Nine, How to Win in Social Situations, which modifies the tips and techniques detailed in the book to surfaces other than a professional arm wrestling table, to be extremely helpful.Learn Five Secret Arm Wrestling TechniquesThe single biggest weapon an arm wrestler has against his opponents is not his biceps; rather, it is his knowledge of professional arm wrestling techniques. These moves can shift the battle of leverage in his favor and allow him to dominate opponents with much greater physical strength.Whether you want to beat the world champion or just your friends, the information in Chapter Four will arm you with the knowledge you need to win nearly every single arm wrestling match you ever have by teaching the five most effective moves in arm wrestling! As an added bonus, you will learn several proven techniques on coming back from a losing position to win a match. The exercises and techniques covered in this book will no doubt put you on the winning side of many arm wrestling matches. However, there may be times where you find yourself being taken down by a stronger opponent.Regardless of your knowledge and training, this can be an unpleasant (and unsuccessful) situation if you have not practiced arm wrestling from a losing position. For that reason, we will also teach you how to arm wrestle from a losing position. It should be noted that the techniques detailed in this chapter will not make you invincible, for winning from a losing position is not easy. The truth is that this chapter cannot help you to beat someone who can take you down very quickly. However, in drawn out matches between nearly equally matched opponents, you stand an excellent chance of victory if you employ the comeback techniques you are about to learn.Learn How to Win in Social SettingsThe beauty of arm wrestling is that it can be performed almost anywhere at any time. All you really need is a flat surface and an opponent. The fact is that the large majority of arm wrestling matches take place on surfaces other than an arm wrestling table, so you will not always be able to implement all the moves contained in this book. But you can still use the techniques in this book to beat your friends on just about any surface there is.There are different strategies and techniques that you can use to gain a leverage advantage, depending upon what you are arm wrestling on.After reading this chapter, you may never lose an arm wrestling match again!Learn Arm Wrestling-Specific Exercises to Perform in the GymWin more matches by incorporating these arm wrestling-specific ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Very basic book
This book would only be a good reference for beginners who have NO knowledge of armwrestling.I wouldn't recommend it just because a person can research WAY more info off the web by going to armwrestling message boards..

5-0 out of 5 stars Great idea giver.
Hello, this book gives you great techniques and exercises to relly strengthen your hands and wrists and wich product you
can do this with; and also teaches the correct forms to win
at arm wrestling.

5-0 out of 5 stars All you need to know about arm wrestling!
This book is a complete guide on arm wrestling. From exercises to do in the gym or at home, useful professionnal arm wrestling techniques, the use of leverage, constant tension techniques, ways to win from the pin position, how to enter and train for a professionnal tournament, and how to arm wrestles and wins in everyday circumstance.

Complete, simple, and accompagned with pictures. This book live up to his name. There is no B.S. in this book!Every word and phrase are useful for the reader.

If you want to learn about arm wrestling.

This book's for you!

5-0 out of 5 stars I was very impressed!
The book... or should I say manual (it is not a hardback)... The Ultimate Guide to Pro Arm Wrestling Technique was fantastic. It was exactly what I was looking for.The guide walked me through all aspects of arm wrestling, from the very basics to step-by-step pictures of all the major arm wrestling techniques to how to come back from a losing position during a match to exercises I can perform in the gym to make myself better at arm wrestling. There were two features of this book that really stood out to me as being extra helpful.

1) The pictures:The description says there are more than 100 pictures, and I definitely believe it!Not only was the quantity high but also the QUALITY.Many techniques in arm wrestling have a lot to do with hand movements.Without quality pictures, you would have no idea how to perform the move. However, I am happy to report that after reading this guide, I can now execute all the moves... and I am pretty good! For each move, the guide breaks the move down into steps, showing you what to do with your hands and fingers, your arms, and your body and legs. All in all, I was very impressed.

2) The other thing that really made this guide special was the last chapter, which showed how to do the techniques on a kitchen table or across a bar or even on the floor. This was very helpful to me, because the whole reason I bought the book in the first place was because I got embarrassed in a little "social" arm wrestling match with a friend (after reading the guide, I can now beat him EASILY!!!).The guide points out which moves work better in which situations, and that was very helpful to me.

I really got a lot out of this book, and that is why I give it a 5-star rating.I think anyone who wants to learn how to arm wrestle, or even those who have already competed in some professional tournaments, would definitely benefit from this manual.Cheers! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent book but not the best.
I was disappointed in this book. While it does very briefly cover several arm wrestling techniques, I did not really know how to perform any of them even after reading the book. Also, the "exercises" section of the book was just a collection of traditional weight lifting exercises and did not teach me anything new to do in the gym.I think this book is decent, but a much much better book to get would be The Ultimate Guide to Arm Wrestling Technique.I think it is the best book written on arm wrestling out there. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad book
This book isn't bad.It doesn't show the fine points that a Gracie or Machado book might show. It would have been better if he would have combined all of his books into one.

Most of the escapes I have seen and they work sometimes, not always, some require strength, some don't, Also if your fighting an experienced fighter, they probably know these, so they might not work against them. This is where his discussion about patience and not being in a rush to win is correct.

I would not recommend this book to newbies, but to intermediate/advanced students who have the benefit of some experience and an instructor.A good instructor or advanced student in Judo or JuJitsu will be able to show their students how these work.

4-0 out of 5 stars A very good book, but...
This book is one of six books in Geoff Thompson Ground fighting series. As the title suggests, this book concentrates on chokes and strangles.

The book opens with warnings on potential lethality of the techniques if done wrong. Next Thompson handles briefly some basic stuff on ground fighting, that don?t really belong into this book but the reader needs at least the basic knowledge of in order to understand the techniques presented in this book.

The rest of the book is devoted to various chokes and strangles, grouped together based on the position they are attempted from. The techniques are quite simple and proven, and for the most part they are explained well. On some occasions either the accompanying photographs and/or the text is somewhat misleading or could have been written more clearly. There is usually one photograph for each technique, but on some occasions there are 2-3 photos, and there is an odd technique with no photos. For the most part the photos are clear enough to understand the technique.

The book itself is a very good one, but the format it is sold in is not very good. Although there are almost 100 pages in the book, the text is printed in large font and spacing. With regular sized font and layout the book would take only some 50-60 pages. Because the books of the series are sold separately instead of one large volume, they have used large font to increase the page count and the price tag of the book. If the whole ground fighting series would have been printed into one large volume of some 300-350 pages, the price of the book would have been substantially lower than what you have to buy for all of the six separate books. And because you have to buy at least some, if not all of the books of the series anyway to really get the ground fighting game, it?s not a question of saving money by buying just the books you are interested in.

To sum it up, the book is a very good one, but if the whole series would have been published as one volume, it could very well be a five-star book instead of "only" four I?m giving to this one. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars American Tall Tale
This is a cute little book aimed at the primary grade levels. For those of you familiar with the Guided Book program, this is a level "N" book. The setting is in New York state, out in the country side about "100 years ago". It is an America tall tale in which Bess and her brother Joe are the strongest arm wrestlers anywhere. She is so strong that she can lift a cow in one hand and an ox in the other. What I like about this story is that it has a female as the protagonist. An Englishman comes to town to challenge Joe to an arm wrestling contest. However, Joe is down with the flu. So, Bess steps up and challenges the Englishman instead. ... Read more

Product Description
"The Lazy Man's Guide to Grappling" is a hilarious look at what some grapplers do to cope in the hard charging grappling environment.

It exposes the truth about grapplers and grappling that is never discussed but everyone thinks about. We are all guilty of some of the Lazy Man's practices to varying degrees.

This book exposes:

The Lazy Man's Takedowns
The Truth about Warmups
Magic Funk Taps
Credit Vision
Injured Grapplers' Psyche Out Methods
Superhero Taps
Blue Belt Heaven
Grappling Dummy and Heavy Bag Secrets

and so much more.

From the author:

This is not a how to book. So there won't be any pictures demonstrating techniques. If there were I would lose all credibility. It is more of an approach towards grappling; my overarching philosophy.

I will not be sharing my life story and detailing all of my wins at NAGA or Grapplers Quest or how I trained five hours a day for six years to get where I am now. I am just a man who loves grappling but not all of the extras that are attached to it. If I could get up in the morning and just learn a technique and grapple for about 20 minutes then life would be golden.

I am like BJ Penn who popularized the term, "Just Scrap." I feel the same way.

Just Grapple!
