Fun, Awesome Book!
I just bought this book for my son, and he loves it! The book includes a cool little hacky sack, which was perfect for him because he's a first-time hacky-sacker. He learned all sorts of tricks and techniques, which he is always thrilled to showcase for his friends (who are very impressed!). Several of his friends are experienced hacky-sackers, and they, too, learned tons of new tricks from this great little book!

Excerpt: Freestyle Footbag is a footbag sport where players demonstrate their abilities by performing sequences of acrobatic tricks. The ending position of the bag on one trick becomes the starting position of the bag on the next trick. Tricks are created by combining different components between contacts (stalls or kicks, usually stalls). Components can be spins, dexterities (wrapping a leg around the bag in mid-air), or ducks (letting the bag pass a few inches above the neck). Contacts are usually on the inside of the foot behind the opposite support leg (clipper stall) or on the toe, however many inventive possibilities remain and are used to create a near-endless list of tricks. In competition, there are several different freestyle events. In this event a player choreographs and executes a routine to music. Much like figure skating, players are given scores for technical and artistic merit. These scores take into account choreography, difficulty, variety, and execution. At the open level, routines are 2 minutes long; at the intermediate level, routines are 90 seconds. Or "Shred 30" is purely technical. Competitors have to execute as many unique, difficult tricks in a 30 second period as possible. Their score is calculated with a mathematical formula, which takes into account the average difficulty of the run, and penalizes the players for repeated moves. Misleading Title
"All the Tricks... All the Tips" is a VERY far stretch from the truth.There are literally hundreds of footbag tricks.This book shows ONLY ONE SINGLE "TRICK" and several basic "KIKCS".I am a professional footbag player and would say that if you want to learn to play freestyle footbag, that you search elsewhere.I have personally developed a flyer that shows 4 basic kicks, and 16 tricks.The one page color Fundemantals Flyer is one page has over 130 pictures illusrtating the moves. I give this flyer out free so that people can learn freestyle.Lastly, the footbag that comes with this book is ill suited for even basic freestyle tricks.

For the Beginners out there
Well, I bought this book when I was in the 7th grade and it has really been essential to my Hacky Sack Success. This little book shows you the basics of hacky.

It gives you a good explanation of what you have to do and this book has alot of pictures! That's great for some things just can't be explained in words.

This book covers one of the flashy advanced moves, which I currently use. It attracts alot of people and I'm currently regarded as the best hacky dude.

This is great for the starting hacky sack prodigy, it has taught me the basics and you have to master the basics if you want to become a success. This book has really great tips. If you allow this to be your bible you will truly be blessed.

I totally recommend this; enclosed is a hacky sack of great quality.
