5-0 out of 5 stars A Real Page Turner!I Couldn't Put It Down!
Kudos to Martin, he does it again! Like his aptly titled masterpiece "Motorcycles", Martin adroitly examines the sport thoroughly and breaks it down into easy to understand laymen's terms.Although void ofsuch memorable characters like his infamous Juan Martinez, the book is amust read.

Book Description
Cris Murphy is into aggressive, oraggro, inline skating. He loves flying through the air, doing tricks on the halfpipe, and grinding on the rails. But when he has a chance to try inline hockey, he decides to give it a go - much to the disgust of his friend and fellow aggro skater, Max, who thinks inline hockey is for losers. Cris isn't so sure. Much as he likes the independence of aggro skating, he finds he likes being part of a team, too. But will Max and Cris's friendship survive if Cris chooses hockey over the halfpipe? ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Inline Skater
The book Inline Skater by Matt Christopher was a good book. I liked the tricks they did on rollerblades. My favorite character was Chris. It took place in California. I recommend this book if you like street hockey or inline skating.

4-0 out of 5 stars Hockey or a Skater?
The story is about a boy named Chris Murphy who is an aggro skater. All his friends are skaters, too.His friend Max hates hockey and says that they're for losers. His dad and brother who are hockey players want him to join a hockey team.As soon as he joins, he and Max aren't friends any more.If you are into skating then you should read this book.If you aren't you should read it because you would feel like you're in the story.

3-0 out of 5 stars inline skater
A young man who likes to get air on a half pipe, grind on rails, and do tricks. Now he will have to decide half pipe or hocky rink.If he joins hocky he knows his friends wont like him any more, but he could allways make new ones by joining a team. This book is good for people who like inline skateing and hocky.

5-0 out of 5 stars What this book taught me.
I really like rollerblading and my dad built a ramp in my backyard for rollerblading. And I rollerblade almost all the time.Cris and Max are friends in the book and they rollerblade a lot.Cris' dad and brother play hockey and his dad told him to give hockey a shot.Cris joins the team and he didn't want Max to see him because Max thinks hockey is for losers. In this book I learned that you can do anything you want and don't think about what your friends think.Just go and do what you want. It's your choice. And I learned really cool tricks like 720s and 540s. I didn't know that rollerblading and aggro skating were the same thing. I predict Inline Skater is going to be the best book in the series! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Giving the game back to the players
This book is an excellent tool for coaches. It shows how not only to be practical and efficient with practices, but allowing the players to be competitive and have fun during practices.

The authors use a European approach to their style of coaching. They emphasize game like drills and skill development.

It is time for coaches to give the game back to the players and let them explore, develop and be creative in a controlled environment.
