4-0 out of 5 stars Very good!! a comparison
I bought this and also the booklet "fun with dinosaur stencils" by a.g. smith

if I had to pick one out of the two I would pick "fun with dinosaurs" because I liked the outlines much better, though if you want a good pterodactyl the laser-cut plastic stencils has one while a.g. smith's book does not include this dinosaur!

I wasn't happy with eitherstencil set's T. Rex

the laser-cut plastic stencils include 16 dinosaurs along with some palm trees while "fun with dinosaurs" has just 6 dinosaurs: diplodocus, stegasaurus, tyrannosaurus, triceratops, dimetrodon, and rhamphorhynchus.

the laser-cut plastic stencils don't specify names right on the stencils.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sturdy and Cute
These stencils are cute and very sturdy.Basically the cover you see is the front of a folder.A large envelope is glued inside the folder, which contains 3 8x10 sheets of platic stencils. They are not hard plastic, but flexible. They can stand up to repeated use by a 4 year-old and six year-old.
The designs are great. ... Read more

Product Description
High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! X-COM is a series of computer games, started by Mythos Games and MicroProse in 1993. The first three titles were tactical games while the fourth was an action-based space combat/strategy game. The first installment, UFO: Enemy Unknown in Europe (also known as X-COM: UFO Defense in North America) was written by a team led by Julian Gollop. MicroProse quickly had an internal team create the sequel X-COM: Terror from the Deep. Subsequently, the Gollop brothers went straight to work on X-COM: Apocalypse, which would end up being the third in the series when released in 1997. Soon after Apocalypse, MicroProse was bought by Hasbro Interactive, which released two more X-COM games. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Stencils - Good Quality & Very reasonable price
Like these Dover heavy stencils "booklets". You get a ready to use selection of a few stencils as illustrated on cover of the "book" produced with good, heavy mylar and registration, unlike manyflimsy stencils in otherhow-to stencil books. Be aware that this is not a how-to book but a theme based stencil booklet that delivers good quality stencils with not a lot of instruction.
Good for getting started with stencil art to produce some good learning-curve experience and results; you can move on to the more expensive stencils from specialized companies once you get the hang of it all.In the mean time, you can get a good inexpensive start with Dover produced laser-cut stencils.

5-0 out of 5 stars What a deal!
I had contacted a stencil store to find fairy stencils for me.They were very expensive and so I ordered this without knowing exactly what to expect. They are just joyously perfect!I have used them to stencil the top of a picnic basket, for cards, wrapping paper and plan to use them in my whimsical bathroom. And they aren't just for kids, just for the kid in us... I am 52 years old and they still kindle magic for me!

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice designs
There are three sheets of heavy white plastic withabout 9 different stencil designs.I say "about" because in some cases the designs can be combined or split up as you wish, especially on one of the sheets. One sheet contains only two large fairies.Another contains the three thatcould be combined or split up.The last contains four more smallerfairies. Many of the fairies are interacting with other items that couldbe used separately; like hearts, flowers, leaves and branches, and abutterfly.

All designs are fairly open and would therefore be easy forkids to use with success. ... Read more

Excerpt: Snake is a video game first released during the mid 1970s in arcades and has maintained popularity since then, becoming somewhat of a classic. After it became the standard pre-loaded game on Nokia phones in 1998, Snake found a massive audience. The player controls a long, thin creature, resembling a snake, which roams around on a bordered plane, picking up food (or some other item), trying to avoid hitting its own tail or the "walls" that surround the playing area. Each time the snake eats a piece of food, its tail grows longer, making the game increasingly difficult. The user controls the direction of the snake's head (up, down, left, or right), and the snake's body follows. The player cannot stop the snake from moving while the game is in progress, and cannot make the snake go in reverse. However, Snake has had many variations since its release, depending on the game's platform. These variations involve the modification of certain rules e.g. the lethality of contact with walls. The Snake variety of games originated with the arcade game Blockade, released by Gremlin in 1976. The first known microcomputer version of Snake, titled Worm, was programmed in 1978 by P. Trefonas from the USA on the TRS-80 computer, and published by CLOAD magazine in the same year. This was followed shortly afterwards with versions from the same author for the Commodore PET and Apple II computers. A microcomputer port of Hustle was first written by P. Trefonas in 1979 and published by CLOAD magazine. This was later released by Milton Bradley for the TI-99/4A in 1980. Some better-known versions include the Neopets example, which is known as "Mee...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=164309 ... Read more

Recent scientific and technical advances have made it possible to create matter in the laboratory under conditions relevant to astrophysical systems such as supernovae and black holes. These advances will also benefit inertial confinement fusion research and research on nuclear weapons. This report describes the major research facilities on which such high energy density conditions can be achieved and lists a number of key scientific questions about high energy density physics that can be addressed by this research. Several recommendations are presented that would facilitate the development of a comprehensive strategy for realizing these research opportunities. ... Read more

Product Description
This short, nonfi ction semi-biographical story from WWII tells of an Army Officer and five enlisted men racing the Russians to capture a Japanese experimental laser cannon. The weapon is located on a cliff overlooking the Sea of Japan. The race starts at Manila Nichol’s Airfield in the Philippine Islands and ends in Nikaho, Japan.

The American soldiers’ journey began with a C-46 air flight to Johnson Air Field in Tokyo, Japan. From there, they traveled by Jeep to a rail line near Fuijaya Air Field. This is where they ran out of official transportation and the Officer got creative. He and his men stole a Japanese train to take them the rest of the way to Nikaho.

The officer’s brilliant transportation idea hit a bit of a snag though — the “liberated” train was carrying three hundred Japanese passengers. More creative thinking was needed to make this plan work.

Meanwhile, the Russian Navy’s submarine was on its way to the same destination carrying six marines who intended to reach the weapon first.

Read this entertaining account to find out who ultimately won the race and the extremes they went to in order to complete their mission!

Product Description
This is a AIR FORCE INST OF TECH WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB OH report procured by the Pentagon and made available for public release. It has been reproduced in the best form available to the Pentagon. It is not spiral-bound, but rather assembled with Velobinding in a soft, white linen cover. The Storming Media report number is A194913. The abstract provided by the Pentagon follows: This research investigated the deployment footprint of a developing dual-role fighter, the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). This thesis documents the creation of a point estimate linear equation and a spreadsheet model for deployment footprint analysis and provides three example applications of the spreadsheet model for the JSF. The development of the model focused towards direct application in the JSF acquisition process, however, this research also serves as a proof of concept for modeling any future weapon system's deployment footprint. The developed spreadsheet model allows the model manipulator to select a baseline weapon system then alter the various components which make up the overall footprint. The result is a point estimate of the total footprint which can then be used in justification during tradeoff studies. The model was developed using Microsoft Excel 5.0 and a synopsis of the model procedures is included at Appendix I. If disk copies of the model are requested from the authors, the package will also include a users manual which is not part of this thesis. ... Read more

THE START

"Here we go!"

"We're off!"

"Look quick, or we'll be out of your sight."

The long, low motor-boat glided smoothly out from the dock to which it
had been made fast. Behind it the water boiled as if it had been
stirred by some invisible furnace. The graceful lines of the boat, its
manifest power and speed, formed a fitting complement to the bright
sunshine and clear air which rested over the waters of the Hudson River.

4-0 out of 5 stars very nice celestial stencils
This stencil set arrives in a laminated folder containing an envelope with three sheets of laser-cut designs. The description says there are ten designs, but they are selling themselves short. Many of the designs contain multiple images, and a couple of them contain quite a few. There are almost 50 stars of various sizes and styles; one large group of stars is set up as a border. Two suns (one elaborate and about 6 inches square, the other simpler and about 3 inches square), two crescent moons (one plain, one smiling), and three planets (and a couple of small full moons) complete this very nice set.

There are three sheets of heavy white plastic with a total of 10 designs. One sheet contains a very large sun with a face in it, another smaller sun and a moon with face (profile).Another sheet contains all stars invarious styles (one looks like the Texaco star!)The last sheet containsmore stars, another plain crescent moon, and some planets (mostlySaturn-looking).On this sheet you have the option of combining orspliting the designs.
