5-0 out of 5 stars cute book!
This is a great book and I got it for my son and husband to read on fathers day.
Some Froggy books can be a little annoying, but this one is just cute.

5-0 out of 5 stars My son cried!
I had never heard of the "Froggy" books before until one day I was at a book fair at school.I read through the book and new it was something my (at the time 3 year old) would enjoy. He likes frogs and being with his daddy. It turns out his teacher read it to him, so he knew about the book.I purchased the book and wrapped it up so the "school santa" could give it to him.He was so excited he cried when he opened it,however...in the excitement of the last day of school before Christmas, his book was stolen and no one seemed to know who had it.My son cried for 2 days.I went on line to Amazon, found the book, and had it wrapped and under the tree with a note from Santa. My little boy was so excited he could have cared less about anything else. Thanks to the writers of the book for making a great series (there are more Froggy books available) and Amazon for getting it to my home the day before Christmas!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very entertaining

Product Description
Andy Miller is a sports atheist. The beautiful game, the roar of the crowd, winning, losing, taking part - these mean nothing to him. But at 30 he is worried. He thinks he's turning into a bit of a crank. So he decides that he must try to love sport - and just maybe it will love him back. He shivers for a season in the stands at QPR, braves the queues at Wimbledon, stays (reasonably) sober at the boat race and gets his money's worth at a WWF event. But to really show his commitment, he takes up the one sport now dear to his heart - crazy golf. Dreaming of putting glory, he heads for Europe and the international circuit. No one can accuse him of being a crank now. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Could have been and should have been better
An only so-so account of PGA Tour players, events and locales through the ages. I thought there would be more meat on this bone, but the book left me unsatisfied, like an average restaurant that serves too small portions.

2-0 out of 5 stars small price for small book
I guess it`s true/ you get what you pay for. I knew it said minature version but this is not even funny. Book is tiny with only a few pages. Iwould not recommend wasting your money.

3-0 out of 5 stars a fun read but lots of fluff
The stories in this and the other similair books in the series are fun reads.Lots of short stories from the links and linksters. However, the book is stretched with pages of illustrations and wide margins obviouslyused to stretch the "length" of the book.Rather than a seriesof "four" books this material would be better served by onelonger and better packaged book.I loved the material but felt cheated inthe packaging.A reader of the series will also see frequent repetition ofstories. ... Amazon.com Review
Starting off with ultrabasics, like "how do I get my plants tolive rather than die?" Gardening for Dummies is a terrifictextbook for the novice gardener. Explanations are laid out simply, and allterms are defined as soon as they are first used--if you've never grownso much as a houseplant, this is the book to get you started. Emphasis ison choosing proper plants for your zone (it's OK--the color map willshow you which zone you're in) that are fairly low-maintenance andhigh-success. Large sections on both seeds and bedding plants willgive you lots of options and specific instructions for getting goodresults--seeds, especially, are treated as persnickety littlecritters that require some extra effort in exchange for low cost and largevariety. The big downside to this book is its lack of pictures. There are lots of line drawings, but they tend to show particular stages of a process, rather than each step. Color photos are limited to two sections, andmost of them are close-ups of various plants. While it's nice to see whatthe bark of a paperbark maple looks like, it doesn't particularlyadd to the value of the book. For folks who learn best withstraightforward reading, the sections on mulching, pruning, soil preparation, and tool choices are all extremely helpful. With bullet-point lists, iconsfor highlighting categories like ecofriendly or time-saving, andsimple tables and charts, how-to photos aren't essential, but ifpictorial aids are what you need for learning, look elsewhere. --JillLightner ... I am sometimes asked which gardening books I would recommend.I would have to say one of the top books in my arsenal is "Gardening for Dummies".

What makes this easy to understand book a worthwhile read are the many how-to's and tips it offers. It gets down to the basics of gardening.

You learn how to become a green thumb gardener by selecting plants that grow well in the area you live, the healthy advantages of growing different plants yourself, or just for the aesthetic value gardening offers.

An excellent guide for the aspiring gardener. ... Read more
