Great book! Monster trucks are cool.
Nice book for the monster truck lover. Great pictures and information. Fun to look at and you learn a little along the way! My son is 2 1/2 and he loves it!

A Bedtime Favorite
Children will love this beautifully illustrated introduction to monster trucks.You may even have to read it to them every night before bed!

Monster Trucks for my 4-year old
This was given to my 4-year old son for Christmas 2006.He loves it and we have read it 50 times over.There are some great shots of Monster Trucks and it describes the differnet parts that make up a Monster Truck, cab, roll bar, body, tires, etc.My son wanted a Monster Turck book for Christmas nad this is exactly what he wanted.

3 year olds love it
I have three year old twin boys who love this book.It is a very basic book- great for introducing children to monstertrucks.It's a favorite bedtime book.

Short but Sweet
This is a quick read, but with good illustrations. Unless a child is a reader, sounding out the words, you'll blow through this rather quickly. That can be ok for times when you need a quick distraction for a few minutes, waiting rooms, etc... Order the whole series to keep them busy for a while.

Made a reader of my Grandson
My three year old Grandson loves anything with wheels on it.He has never been interested when I try to get him to look at a book while I read it to him.Now he is bringing this book to me and asking me to read to him.He has decided books can be fun too.

PERFECT!
My 4-year-old son is hugely into Monster Trucks and Monster Jam, so this book is a great pleaser for him.This is the perfect book for young ones who love anything with wheels on it (especially when they're big wheels).

Enjoyable
This book is very enjoyable with two to four year olds of our family;however, I was disappointed that Tonka was listed on every truck...and not real monster trucks that compete were highlighted....My fault I guess since I didn't realize it was a generic type book.

The two year old in our family really enjoyed it, but our young four year old who is reading some now was disappointed not to enjoy a story with real trucks like Gravedigger/Eradicator/etc.

I am searching now for a "real monster jam book" and I think he will enjoy it more.

I would buy the book again though with more emphasis on the younger child. ... Read more

we love this book!
My son picked this book out at the library on a whim. However, now whenever we have to return it on our next trip we have to go straight to get "the truck book mom". No other truck book will do. and no other books are needed. It is a great book because it is simple and fun without too many details for little ones with limited attention spans. Not for the avid construction truck enthusist but wonderful for the little boy( or girl) who just loves trucks!

Fun truck book... kids will love it!
If you have a kid who's into trucks, this book will really wow them.The pictures are cartoony and bold, the feel of the text is lively and fun.The only downside is that the rhyming verses don't scan well -- Todd seems to have a hard time getting the meter to flow, and often puts big, work truck-oriented words in in ways that don't really fit.It's clunky and makes the text difficult to read.But it's still a great book... kids will love it!(ReadThatAgain!)

Fun to read and my 3 yo son loves it
OK, so the title might be a little misleading but monster trucks is indeed about trucks.My son loves to look at the colorful pictures and the descriptions are cleverly written with more sophisticated language than you usually get in achildren's book.And the book also contains descriptions of each of the trucks.A great book for kids who love trucks.

Great book for truck lovers
We had this book from the library and my son, who is nearly 3, loved it so much I went ahead and bought a copy.He loves hearing about each one of the types of trucks.It has some nice little rhymes to tell about what each truck does.

Awesome for little boys
I have been reading this book with my son, age 4, for a week.The book is not too long and it has really great photos in it.There are plenty of small snippets of information for reading so you can read a little on each page out loud without having to read it all.We checked it out from the library and I can't believe it is here in hardcover for five bucks.Truly worth the money.

Monster trucks for babies
This is a fantastic book for your toddler!We have 5 year old twins that LOVE moster trucks and decided to get our 1 year old a monster truck book for his 1st birthday!Now they can all play together and the 5 year oldeven like the baby's book!

The pictures are very colorful and detailed. You can teach colors to a younger child and parts of a truck to the olderchildren.

Adorable Board Book
My 2 grandsons, ages 1 & 3, are crazy about construction vehicles & this little book seems to have captured the hearts of both boys. It's the perfect size for them to carry into the car & that's where it lives now. I must confess that when I first saw the book I thought it was kind of boring, but the pictures are terrific and who am I to argue with the taste of a 1 year old? I highly recommend this book and the others in the Things that Go series.

2 year old son loves these books
My son loves trucks these days and got these truck board books for his 2nd birthday a few weeks ago and he loves them. He did manage to separate the book because it's a board book and he likes to snap the pages around but even in pieces he still loves to read it, look at it and have it read to him. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is because there aren't many pages to them, but this doesn't matter to kids who like the same few pages read over and over anyway.
