5-0 out of 5 stars great open water text book; facts, not hype
this book saves the student from the hype and promo that the PADI books now have, and is actually a very good basic text for open water.Jeppesen, the original publisher, publishes all the texts that airplane pilots use and carry in those black bags, called 'jep kits'.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not a bad book.
Lots of good general information but I found it required more depth in many areas. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good book. Lots of Info and Phone # which is needed!
I bought this book. There is a lot of info. I would of liked a little more info on Cancun but over all its really good as has 1-800 numbers to the hotels as well!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not enough info on dining and lodging outside Cancun
I haven't been to the Yucatan in over 6 years, and purchased this book hoping it would have updated info on the area, as I was planning vacation there soon.

I couldn't find enough listings for lodgings and restarantsto satisfy me, and wound up going to the web to get the info I needed. There are so many more hotels and condos south of Cancun, and even south ofTulum that just weren't listed.None of the restaurants we ate at wereeven listed.I couldn't use this guide for my purposes. ... Product Description
On the demand side, exporters and strategic planners focusing on water skis, surfboards, sailboards, and other water sport equipment in Norway face a number of questions. Which countries are supplying water skis, surfboards, sailboards, and other water sport equipment to Norway? How important is Norway compared to others in terms of the entire global and regional market? How much do the imports of water skis, surfboards, sailboards, and other water sport equipment vary from one country of origin to another in Norway? On the supply side, Norway also exports water skis, surfboards, sailboards, and other water sport equipment. Which countries receive the most exports from Norway? How are these exports concentrated across buyers? What is the value of these exports and which countries are the largest buyers? This report was created for strategic planners, international marketing executives and import/export managers who are concerned with the market for water skis, surfboards, sailboards, and other water sport equipment in Norway. With the globalization of this market, managers can no longer be contented with a local view. Nor can managers be contented with out-of-date statistics which appear several years after the fact. I have developed a methodology, based on macroeconomic and trade models, to estimate the market for water skis, surfboards, sailboards, and other water sport equipment for those countries serving Norway via exports, or supplying from Norway via imports. It does so for the current year based on a variety of key historical indicators and econometric models. In what follows, Chapter 2 begins by summarizing where Norway fits into the world market for imported and exported water skis, surfboards, sailboards, and other water sport equipment. The total level of imports and exports on a worldwide basis, and those for Norway in particular, is estimated using a model which aggregates across over 150 key country markets and projects these to the current year. From there, each country represents a percent of the world market. This market is served from a number of competitive countries of origin. Based on both demand- and supply-side dynamics, market shares by country of origin are then calculated across each country market destination. These shares lead to a volume of import and export values for each country and are aggregated to regional and world totals. In doing so, we are able to obtain maximum likelihood estimates of both the value of each market and the share that Norway is likely to receive this year. From these figures, rankings are calculated to allow managers to prioritize Norway compared to other major country markets. In this way, all the figures provided in this report are forecasts that can be combined with internal information sources for strategic planning purposes. ... Read more
