excellent book!
This may very well be one of the most substantial books on this fine martial art ever written, minus those that are co-authored by Yip Man, himself. Excellent book. I recommend it to all kung fu practitioners & martial artists alike.

A must for Wing Tsun/Chun instructor
Most Wing Tsun/Chun books on Bil Tze have good details about the forms movements and their applications.This book goes beyond.It explains clearly how one can be good at Bil Tze through contineous exercises and training programme.Most Wing Tsun'ists spend most of their time practising moves of the first 2 forms."How much time and effort do you do for Bil Tze?"This books has the answer.

I starts planning to incorporate the exercises into my training routine.I am also ordering the other 2 books of Siu Lim Tao and Chum Kil.

Accurate, informative, simplified for good reading
I found this book very interesting, both in terms of accuracy, simplicity, and general good reading. Excerpt: Wong Shun Leung (; 8 May 1935 28 January 1997) was a Chinese martial artist from Hong Kong who studied wing chun kung fu under Yip Man () and is credited with training Bruce Lee. Wong reportedly won at least 60, and perhaps over 100, street fights against martial artists of various styles. Due to his reputation, he came to be known as 'Gong Sau Wong' ( or 'King of Talking Hands'). Wong recorded one instructional film entitled Wing Chun: The science of in-fighting. Wong reportedly trained in several martial art styles in his youth, primarily in tai chi chuan and either boxing or kickboxing. He abandoned boxing because of two incidents: one with his boxing coach and one with Yip Man. The first incident apparently occurred because Wong accidentally struck his boxing coach during sparring. The angry coach attacked in earnest, only to be eventually knocked out by Wong; the incident caused Wong to leave boxing. In another account, however, Wong said he had defeated his boxing coach with wing chun techniques: "I was sparring with my instructor and I hit him very hard, he got real mad and came at me very hard. I fought back with wing chun and he ended up bleeding. Boxing was over for me!" The second incident came about from Wong's fascination with the stories of legendary wing chun figures, such as Chan Wah Shun () and Leung Jan (). This interest led Wong to look for a wing chun teacher. Friends of his older brother took him to meet Yip Man. According to one version of events, after defeating at least two of Yip's students, Wong had a match with Yip himself and was defeated easily. Enjoyable to read, I picked up a couple of techniques to practice and try out.

very good book and very difficult to find
Volume 2 Close Range Combat Wing Chun is an excellent book very well explained and presnted, it covers a variety of areas, this book is for all kung fu followers. The only draw back i see with this book is its availability it is very difficult to find.
