easy to use and effective
This book is great for those of us who are too busy or can't concentrate on our textbooks. This book helped me a lot in my APUSH class because it's much easier to read and much shorter than the textbook. The questions for each section should tell you what you understand or do not understand in that section. This book was helpful, it gets to the point and provides a summary of the need to know facts for the AP Biology Exam. However, it is not helpful in picky details, it's very helpful for review and pointing out small facts that are easily forgotten. The practice exams and set up is easy to follow and utilize.

Perfect for cramming!
I took the AP test last year and I recieved a 5
Honestly, I am the worse biology student out there.. I tried to learn the material but I am just not "biology-oriented" I can't do it.. I can learn math, chemitry just fine..just not biology...
So... I totally failed the class... I can't remember jack.. and I couldn't learn jack...
I borrowed this book from my friend and i spent about... 40 hours on it
I can't give a time in days.. because i might have spent random 10 min or 2 in random place...
actually I don't think I even spent 40 hours... maybe even less..

I just know I stayed up all night the night before the test studying and.. just cramming.. because that was all I could have done.. I really didn't know biology... and I am not exagerating at all...

So the next day when I took the test it was a breeze.... I was soooo surprised the topics in the book are EXACTLY the same topics tested.. it was unbelivable...
on the tests I took in the AP Biology class (regular one in school)... I usually get around 10-20 percent on the tests...
I was completely unbelievable.. during the actual ap test... I flew throught it... I only skipped about 5 questions.. and those of which I had sufficient time to go back and fill in... on the written portion.. I knew the answers to every single one...
I know.. this sounds like I'm making everything up.. but I'm not...
I honestly failed every single biology test I took, except 2... and I took about 50 all together
During the school year I had pretty much given up....
Then.. who would've known.. I crammed all the information from the book (according to the test break down in the book) in two days.. and I ended up with a 5
It's not just me who can't believe this... neither could my teacher.... yeah..lol....
Some of my friends who maintained a 80-90 percent test avergae in the class had a 4 on the test... I'm not sure what book they used to prep.. but.. heh.. wow.....

Good supplement for AP Biology
This book is a great review to use before tests, but not substitute the text book.It has all of the main information from the AP Text, but not all of it.The only downfall I've seen so far is that the labs are not quite in as much detail as I would like.

Get's the Message Across
This book goes well with the Campbell 5th to 7th Edition Biology books, and helps me a ton when preparing for tests! THANK YOU Cliffs!

great book
This helped me get a 5 on my AP test. My teacher recommended everyone to get one of these, and I'm pretty sure all of us did. This book is good to review on the AP test, but don't depend it to get all A's on you tests in class. It's not detailed as your textbook so you probably won't do well if you use this and not read your textbook.

The one thing I don't like about this book is that I think the pages should be bigger and the book can be thinner. It's easier to use that way, but that's minor.

It discusses all the most important parts in U.S. History and its practice tests are great!

REA really is the best test prep for APUSH
literally questions in the practice tests appeared on the real exam. i remember seeing a nit-picky question on authors and themes of an era that i thankfully learned the previous day in REA. the practice tests may be a little bit harder than the actual thing, but extremely close. the reviews on each era is thorough and the practice tests are plenty. the explanations to the answers of the practice tests are also extremely helpful. one tip is to read the explanation of the correct answer after you complete a practice test, regardless of whether you got it right or wrong to guarantee you have your information down cold. i would say invest your apush money in this book only and you're set for the test in may.

This is the ultimate study book for the AP US History Exam, it has almost everyhting you need and will help you wonderously on the test, even if you only study the night before!

nice, but a few mistakes
This book is very helpful, but there are some mistakes. For example, on page 363, Cr magically changed to Cs on the second sentence of the problem. It's still good to supplement your chem class, but watch out for small mistakes like the one I mentioned. They shouldn't be too much of a problem as long as you understand the intent of the questions.

Excellent General Chemistry book
I am studying for my DAT now and i think this book is much more sufficient than Kaplan. I took my general chemistry 5 years ago; thats why some of the important concept had faded out of my memory.
I am really scared since i dont want to go back to my gen textbook; i am glad that i picked out this book
