Product Description
Since the formation of the American Republic the principles of free enterprise and equal opportunity have been at the very core of economic philosophy. During the revolution, colonists fought not only for intangibles like "liberty" and "justice," but also for the promises of a free market that provided everyone with the opportunity to pursue economic advancement regardless of social position and unsubjugated to a crown. America quickly became a society in which an individual's success would be measured not by birthright, but rather by determination. In this atmosphere, men and women have sought fortune limited only by their own abilities, their willingness to work hard, and their courage in the face of unknown dangers. In this course, we'll examine the lives and careers of successful men and women who seized the opportunities offered by the vibrant and open economy that has ensued. We'll examine how each of these individuals found the necessary resources-both economic and personal-to achieve greatness in the business arena. In doing so, we hope not only to arrive at a better understanding of American business history in general, but also to commune with its greatest visionaries-its Masters of Enterprise.14 Courses on 7 CDs.Course Syllabus1 The Business of America 2 John Jacob Astor: From Furs to Real Estate 3 Cyrus McCormick: The Business of Agriculture 4 Cornelius Vanderbilt and Jay Gould: Speculating on America 5 Andrew Carnegie and John D. Product Description
The first book of its kind; One thousand years and almost 500 pages of entrepreneurial history. Napoleon Hill studied many successful men before writing the iconic book Think and Grow Rich which has been a best seller for decades. Now everyone has the opportunity to study dozens of the World s greatest entrepreneurs throughout time as Napoleon Hill did, including entrepreneurs studied by Napoleon Hill, such as Andrew Carnegie. The book also tells the story of Napoleon Hill s life and how created and lost several fortunes throughout his career as an entrepreneur. To have major success we need mentors, people who have successfully done what we are trying to do. This book provides a host of mentors to choose from. Authors that produced books like The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steve Covey, Think Like a Winner by Norman Vincent Peale, Dale Carnegie s How to Win Friends & Influence People, studied the great successes of this world. This book allows the reader to do the same. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have book for any entrepreneur ... not to be leant out.
The History of the Worlds Greatest Entrepreneurs is an essential addition to the personal library of anyone who has the entrepreneurial spark.

I will happily lend or give away many of my books but this is a book I won't let out of my house.

For anyone who has the enterprising spirit, this book is a reference manual, a book of bedtime stories, a source of inspiration and a set of battle plans.

As I read the stories of self-made men and women from the last 1000 years, I became more and more inspired in my own story and my own journey.

I am so pleased I stumbled upon this gem.

5-0 out of 5 stars Like a Think & Grow Rich Study Of The Greatest Entrepreneurs
I read this book because I heard it was derived from a 7 year study of around 150 of the world's greatest entrepreneurs throughout all time and then condensed down into a selection of just 45.
This book features great entrepreneurs across a 1000 year span from Godric to Gates. For each entrepreneur we're given a mini biography which is written in an entertaining but yet educational fashion. Its a heavy weight book at 500 pages but very easy to dip in and out of. Almost like an encyclopaedia or dictionary of the greatest entrepreneurs.
Napoleon Hill studied all the World's great entrepreneurs before writing his book "Think & Grow Rich". Now the study has been done for us we can pick a success model to work with from this crystallized selection of just 45 of the World's Greatest! If you want to know how some of those deals happened, how to win in business, how to keep getting up each time, get material to support your strategy and mindset going forward then this book is a must! Must! Must!
Just bought 2 for father's day, my son's graduation, my sisters birthday. I think everyone should have one.
(Phew, I suppose you can tell I love it eh!).
