1-0 out of 5 stars Company Officer 2nd edition
Please hope your FD doesn't use this book for promotional exams, it is not worth the paper it is written on. The study guide gives you quizzes without answers and worded in such a way you cant proof your answer in the book. CD questions have wrong answers provided.Anyone who recommends this book has not read it, or has very little formal education.A disservice to the fire service.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very informative and good reading
Was part of my study material for upcoming captains test. Good book, lots of good information.Highly recommended !

3-0 out of 5 stars Company Officer
This edition is a much better read than edition 1, I hope the next edition takes out more of the fluff and adds more material from those delivering the fire service. If you get nothing else out of the reading, than communication is the key, it was worth the price of the book.

1-0 out of 5 stars PURE BABBLE and Conjecture second edition
This book is pure babble and conjecture.Chapters start off focused and end up taking you in circles while trying to explain information that has NOTHING to do with an Company Officers Job! Who let this guy publish anything? They whole book could be condensed into 50 pages, instead the author fills pages with babble and conjecture.Dont waste your money. An ifsta book would be much better than this garbage!Im pissed they made me select a single star that it doesnt deserve!

4-0 out of 5 stars Company officer
A must for Fire Officers preparing for certification or testing.
The book is layed out good. Covers many aspects of management, communicationand "people skills". ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars you owe it to your son
If youre a parent, or are ever going to become one, you owe it to your child to know this stuff! Don't make an uninformed decision. Yes, this book is anti circumcision. There is plenty of pro circumcision pressure elsewhere. This may even they playing field. Once it does, think for yourself. Ask yourself if you feel in your heart that cutting off a part of an innocent babys genitals without his permission is okay. Ask yourself if you want to pay someone to this this heinous thing to your own child. Lastly, remind yourself that this is HIS body. If he wants to cut off part of his [...], he has plenty of time. And if he ever decides he wants a smaller [...] with less sensitivity, then it will be his decision to make. And you will feel good for allowing him to have rights over his own body. As far as the book, it is VERY informative and a good read as well. Remeber, just because our society practices this on a regular basis ( NO other society does) does not make it right. We also practiced slavery. Wrong is wrong. Stand up for the rights of our children!

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally!
It's about time an un biased, factual book was written on this subject.
My sons are still intact and as perfect as they were the day they were born, but I will be buying more copies for my pregnant friends.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too biased to be persuasive
This book is a diatribe against circumcision, not a study or balanced account. So the tone is more polemical than most readers would prefer. This is too bad, because the book contains a lot of accurate and usefulinformation.

5-0 out of 5 stars I've ordered more copies of this fabulous book!
...this was a very good book...I've shared it with others and the response has been good so far...I really don't understand why people still circ their boys anymore since the rest of the world is fine not doing it

3-0 out of 5 stars good, could be more balanced
It is a good, thorough book, which is very good to read if you are firmly condvinced that circumcision is great for your child. It tries succesfully to expose some of our preconceptions. However,it is biased towards the"Don't do it!" attitude which does not give people a balancedview.Otherwise, a great insight into the problem. Certainly should be readbefore taking your decision. ... Excerpt:Archie Gray Archibald Colin "Archie" Gray (24 August 1878 ? ) was a Scottish footballer . Gray began his career at local junior clubs Govan Columbia and Glasgow Ashfield, before joining Edinburgh side Hibernian in 1899. He spent five seasons with Hibs, winning the 1902 Scottish Cup . Gray made 18 league appearances and scored two goals as Hibs then won the 1902 03 Scottish First Division title. He also won his one and only cap for Scotland on 21 March 1903, against Ireland ; Scotland lost 2 0. In the summer of 1904 Gray moved south to London to join Woolwich Arsenal , who had just been promoted to the First Division for the first time. Gray made his debut in Arsenal's very first First Division match, against Newcastle United on September 3, 1904, and immediately became the club's first-choice right back for the next five seasons; Woolwich Arsenal reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup twice (in 1905 06 and 1906 07), while in the League they usually occupied a comfortable spot in mid-table. Gray lost his regular place to fellow Scot Duncan McDonald in 1909, but he returned to the team during the 1910 11 season. He played in both full back positions, often as cover for Joe Shaw . However, having passed the age of 30 he found his place came under threat from newer, younger players (such as John Peart ), and he was largely left out in the 1911 12 season. He played his final first-class match, his 200th, against Notts County on 23 December 1911. In spring 1912 he was transferred for £250 to Second Division Fulham ... ... Read more

Product Description
The purpose of this church shall be as revealed in the New Testament, to win people to faith in Jesus Christ and commit them actively to the church, to help them to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ that increasingly they may know and do His will, and to work for the unity of all Christians and with them engage in the common task of building the kingdom of God.

A Pioneer Church in the Oconee Territory will take you on a journey from the early settlement of Mannakin Town, Virginia, to the Scull Shoals Community on the east bank of the Oconee River in northern Georgia. This journey was actually made by the early ancestors of the Antioch Christian Church during the Oconee Indian Wars and at the beginning of the American Restoration Movement.

Today Antioch Christian Church is still the location of Scull Shoals voting precinct. Anyone who loves American history, genealogy, and has an interest in the early association between church and state will find A Pioneer Church in the Oconee Territory an invaluable reference. It contains facts of “the way it was” as far back as 1793 and the way life in America transpired within rural Georgia. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for the purse or bathroom
This is a very tiny book, but packs a lot in it's little pages. Great to put in the bathroom where you or visitors, need a diversion. Also would be good to put in your purse for waiting room material. Suitable for gift baskets too! Just to small for most book shelves.

5-0 out of 5 stars My Heart-Christ Home
I have used this book many times over the years to encourage people to haveregular quiet times with their Lord. It has an excellent message with great illustrations of how Christ wants to have a personal relationship with us.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sanctification
This book nicely introduces readers to the topic of sanctification. We need to confess & renounce our old lifestyles, habits and hangups to live in peace and calm with God.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Old Favorite
This book is very small, but has a hard cover. It is just right to tuck in another gift as an extra surprise.Even though I have read this book before, it still has the power to touch me and help me take inventory of my walk with God. Sometimes we do tend to leave Christ out of certain areas of our lives, and this book opens your eyes to see these areas, but it is done in a very loving way. I was going to order some more copies as gifts, but have not been able to find this particular edition on Amazon again.Perhaps, I will take another look to see if I have missed it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Interesting, if inadequate...
I realize that this booklet has been highly reviewed by others, and I can understand why."My Heart-Christ's Home" is essentially an extended analogy between our lives and our homes.Munger translates the common evangelical idea of inviting Jesus to live in our hearts into a situation in which Jesus is invited to physically live in our house. He walks through the house and describes how Jesus would interact with each part.

It's an interesting analogy, relatively well-executed.My critique is that it definitely enters the world of cheesiness a few times, going overboard with the "Christ as my buddy-buddy" idea.Though personalizing Jesus is helpful, there is something hokey about a picture of Jesus in bathroom slippers sitting in my living room reading the newspaper and sipping a cup of coffee.Maybe this is just a reflection of the pamphlet showing its age.

I was also overwhelmed by the brevity of this "book."It can easily be read in one sitting, which is convenient. However, I would have preferred something more substantive.Ultimately, this booklet is solid and worthwhile, if somewhat incomplete. ... Read more

Excerpt:Senior club appearances and goalscounted for the domestic league only.* Appearances (Goals) George Henry Farrow (4 October 1913 1980) was an English professional footballer. He played for six clubs in a seventeen-year professional career. In the years before, during and after World War II, Blackpool were one of the most powerful teams in England, and the trio of George Farrow, Eric Hayward and Harry Johnston became legendary. Farrow's main assets were accurate long-range passes, strong tackling, and a fierce strike of the ball. He was also one of the earliest exponents of the long throw-in. Born in Whitburn, South Tyneside, Farrow moved north from Bournemouth in 1936, for a 1,250 fee, and made his debut for the Seasiders in September of that year, in a home win over West Ham United. He went on to make a further 32 league appearances in the 193637 campaign, scoring five goals. Initially an inside-left, he soon moved to wing-half, where his tackling was of more use. At the end of the season, Blackpool won promotion to Division One for only the second time in their existence. A nine-game win streak between 21 November and 1 January assisted the achievement. In 193738, Farrow made thirty league appearances and scored another five goals, and the following season appeared in all but four of the club's league games. His only goal of the season was a penalty, Blackpool's second goal in a 21 victory at Sunderland on 17 September. Wartime football intervened between August 1939 and May 1945, and when League football resumed in 194546, Farrow continued where he had left off, making 28 leag...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=8736550 ... Excerpt: Charles John Huffam Dickens (pronounced ; 7 February 18129 June 1870) was the most popular English novelist of the Victorian era, and one of the most popular of all time, responsible for some of English literature's most iconic characters. Many of his novels, with their recurrent theme of social reform, first appeared in magazines in serialised form, a popular format at the time. Unlike other authors who completed entire novels before serialisation, Dickens often created the episodes as they were being serialized. The practice lent his stories a particular rhythm, punctuated by cliffhangers to keep the public looking forward to the next instalment. The continuing popularity of his novels and short stories is such that they have never gone out of print. His work has been praised for its mastery of prose and unique personalities by writers su...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=5884 ... Read more
