JFK is a 1991 American film directed by Oliver Stone. It examines the events leading to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and alleged subsequent cover-up, through the eyes of former New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison. Garrison filed charges against New Orleans businessman Clay Shaw for his alleged participation in a conspiracy to assassinate the President, for which Lee Harvey Oswald was found directly responsible in Government investigations. The film was adapted by Stone and Zachary Sklar from the books On the Trail of the Assassins by Jim Garrison and Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy by Jim Marrs. A Wealth of Intriguing Potential
Since Acclaim Entertainment went bankrupt in 2004,this mini-series sequel to the 1995 Sci-Fi movie starring Kevin Costner may be difficult to find....but it is a real gem due to co-authors Tom Sniegoski and Christopher Golden (OutCast, The Menagerie) and illustrator Kevin Kobasic (Deathlok, Dr. Tomorrow).

Costner did not permit his likeness to be used in the unique 1997 movie tie-in, so his character - the Mariner - looks different. A back-story on the antihero drifter is sprinkled into new adventures on the post-apocalyptic Earth that is covered with water due to the melting of the polar ice caps. The fourth and final chapter in the series - Twilight of the Gods - has arguably the best story line that pushes the concept into the realm of setting a foundation for another movie, with the artwork essentially being a look at the storyboards that could be utilized.

This "Dream Team" delivered such an intriguing vision that propelled the cult film into having surprising potential for a sequel that hopefully Children of the Leviathan can resurface soon in one volume as a hard/softcover reissue.
