Product Description

Excerpt: Prince (born Prince Rogers Nelson; June 7, 1958) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. He has been known under the unpronounceable symbol , which he used between 1993 and 2000. This name change invoked controversy and many referred to him as "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince", often abbreviated to "TAFKAP", or simply "The Artist" during that period. According to Robert Larsen in his book, History of Me and I, Prince is "one of the most talented and commercially successful pop musicians of the last twenty years", producing ten platinum albums and thirty Top 40 singles during his career. Prince founded his own recording studio and label, writing, self-producing and playing most, or all, of the instruments on his recordings. In addition, Prince has been a "talent promoter" for the careers of Sheila E, Carmen Electra, The Time and Vanity 6, as well as writing songs that became hits for other artists including Chaka Khan, The Bangles, and Sinéad O'Connor, making him one of the most successful artists in recent music history. Prince is reported to have written more than one thousand songs, some of which have been released by Prince under pseudonyms or recorded and released by other artists. Prince also has hundreds of unrel...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=57317 ... Read more

Kapitel: Liste Der Premierminister Von Ontario, Oliver Mowat, Edward Blake, Leslie Frost, Bill Davis, Dalton Mcguinty, David Peterson, John Robarts, George A. Drew, John Sandfield Macdonald, Frank Miller, Arthur Sturgis Hardy, Bob Rae, Thomas Kennedy. Aus Wikipedia. Nicht dargestellt. Auszug: Robert Keith "Bob" Rae, PC, OC, OOnt, QC, MP (born August 2, 1948) is a Canadian politician. He is the Member of Parliament for Toronto Centre and sits in the Canadian House of Commons as the Liberal opposition's foreign affairs critic. Rae was a New Democratic Party (NDP) Member of Parliament from 1978 to 1982. Then he moved to provincial politics, becoming leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party from February 7, 1982 to June 22, 1996. He served as the 21st Premier of Ontario from October 1, 1990 to June 26, 1995, and was the first person to have led a provincial NDP government east of Manitoba. While in office, he brought forward a number of initiatives such as the Social Contract that were unpopular with many traditional NDP supporters. Rae's subsequent disagreement with the leftward direction of the NDP led him to resign his membership and join the Liberals. In 2006, he was a candidate for the leadership of the Liberal Party of Canada, finishing in third place on the third ballot. Rae returned to the Canadian House of Commons on March 31, 2008, as a Liberal MP after winning a March 17, 2008 by-election holding the riding that had previously been held by Liberal Bill Graham. He was re-elected in the 2008 general election. Rae ran again as a candidate for the party leadership but withdrew on December 12, 2008. Rae was born in Ottawa, Ontario. His father, Saul, was an eminent Canadian career diplomat of Jewish and Scottish descent (raised as an Anglican) who had postings in Washington, Geneva, New York, Mexico and The Hague. Rae's brother, John, is a Vice-President of Power Corporation and a prominent member of the Liberal Party. He ...http://booksllc.net/?l=de ... Read more
