Learned a lot about the Jackson family from reading this book. However, never know if LaToya is completely truthful. I don't know...judge for yourself.

5-0 out of 5 stars Interesting to read
This book was very interesting, hopefully all the things Latoya said about her father was not fabricated, I prefer the whole truth in autobiograpies, overall it was good reading.

5-0 out of 5 stars The truth
Everything she says in this book rings true.I always figured that Katherine had a lot more up her sleeve than she was letting on.Mama loved those ducketts coming in just like Joe.Too bad she didn't look out for her kids better. She sold her kids out for chicken change. ... Read more

Product Description
This autobiography offers an account of private misery behind the showbusiness success of the Jackson family. Michael Jackson's sister presents a chronicle of child abuse, physical violence and psychological cruelty, hidden behind a facade of domestic happiness. She discusses her brother's relationships with the family and with women, the profit-hungry and sometimes highly unscrupulous world of the recording industry, and how she escaped the family straightjacket to build her own life and singing career. ... Hey, has anyone noticed how La Toya copies off of Michael's Moonwalk cover (the half-face shot) with her paperback edition? Hilarious.

5-0 out of 5 stars Need to Balance the Drivel posted by Ms. Seavey......
If I really want to read up on Jackson Family business, I want access to the bad as well as the good.

(The buyer demand for this book speaks for itself, Ms. Seavey. You don't control what the public wants to pay, and you didn't even read the book, just commented on it's price and rated it one star. Who the hell are you? You need to pull your "review".)

LaToya's book was the first of many expose's written by women in the early 90's exposing male abuse toward women in music and show businesses, a jolt not seen since Bette Midler voiced her rape by Geraldo Rivera, the famous TV gossip host. Joe Jackson did not want Rebbie, Janet, and LaToya to take away from the boys, and producers wanted sexual favors. The part about Phil Spector's house filled with peepholes is especially creepy. And Michael Jackson's very real fear of death threats from underworld persons is explained here, and nowhere else. That's why this book is so darned hard to find.

I remember this book as a part of music history that created the diverse journey of each Jackson away from the family unit.It is not until the late 90s that LaToya reconciles, after getting rid of the violent Jack Gordon, that each family member starts their own search for healing and working their way back to the family unit.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too Costly for average interested reader about Jacksons
I buy all my books via amazon.com, both new and used, and have quite a good library. But even the finest books on high subject matter are not priced at such a ridiculously high price. What makes this book any different than, say, "Michael Jackson: the Man Behind the Mash>"

5-0 out of 5 stars Blissfully GOOD
Sasha Jones enters Dr. Haywards office unknowing that she's about to be tied to this man forever yet she's finding it hard to find a way out of the twisted game. Who could have thought that things would be this way. He went from not wanting to deal with her to spending a great deal of time with her. All apart of a vengeful plot to which some, many and all pay dearly with blood, sweat and lots of tears. The twists and turns are tremendous and shockingly good. If you dont know about KD HARRIS....... get acquainted!!! She's not going ANYWHERE!!! She's just getting started!! Kudos!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Can you say crazy, deranged, and HOT!
"Can you say crazy, deranged, and HOT! "Whew this book has all that and then some.

Sasha a psychologist with no family to speak of, works for Dr. Gregory Hayward a prominent African American psychiatrist.Sasha is on call from Sunday to Sunday, working hard to help her patients and keep up with her job as Dr. Hayward's assistant.
What could be more rewarding, this was her dream job. But soon Sasha realizes her dream has become her worst nightmare.

After a long day, Sasha is summoned to Dr. Haywards office. She finds the Dr. and a handsome stranger naked on "the couch" pleasing himself, while the good Dr. watches; encouraging the stunned Sasha to participate. Sasha crosses professional lines and becomes entangled in a web of lust and intrigue, spiraling out of control plummeting into a sexual abyss. There were so many warped twists and levels of deceit I couldn't believe it.Asmuch as I hate to admit it there was a level of titillation by this reader, as I found myself becoming embroiled in their concupiscence.

This psychosexual saga delves deep into how manipulation can occur out of need or desire. I look forward to the next title, hopefully with better editing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sheer Genius
Okay, this is my first K.D. Harris book and i think i'm in love...lol. She is an awesome story teller. I don't tell the story line for book.you just have to buy it and read for your self. Don't even borrow it, because this is one for you personal collection. It was just that good to me. Sex, money, murder and plenty of sex. But that wasn't all. The plot alone was flawless and exquisitely detailed, but not overly so. My mouth hit the floor several times and the twist made my head spin. She has her own voice as an author and storyteller, there's no mistaking it. She got "it" and she proved it in the fabulous book. Thanks K.D. for a sexy ride on the wild side...lol.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mind Blowing
This book has so much drama going on that I could not put it down. It was just that good, that I read it in 1 day. All the detail that was put into telling the story of Sasha'a Life is crazy. Read it and it will having you saying to youself "When is part 2 coming out cause I want it." OKay

When i first started reading, I knew that this book was going to be a good read. It had many twist and turns it which was good to me becaue i hate when i know what is going to happen next. Eccentric Bliss is mind blowing and the type of novel speaks for itself!! I could not put the book down!! My favorite charcter would have to be Sasha!! I think if i were in her shoes I would have retailiated the same way. If you have not read this book make sure you get it!!! ... Read more
