An up-to-date Wind in the Wilows
Gareth Lovett Jones has written a brillant satire of today's England.I have read both THE WIND IN THE PYLONS volume I and Volume II.Anyone who has enjoyed reading Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willow" will find this up-to-date version utterly spellbinding.You follow Mole's adventures throughout England looking for the countryside he remembers and find him meeting all the characters from the original book in drastically altered guises.
I found both books very amusing, but at the same time quite sad for what the author thinks has happened to the countryside and to the environment. I highly recommend everyone reading these two books, you will have not wasted your time.Look for the surprise ending. ... Read more
