TEACHER + STUDENT = DISASTER.
OR DOES IT?
Claudia de la Rosa, is a starry-eyed innocent with book-learned wisdom who has just arrived in the glamour-charged world of Beverly Hills to become the high school English teacher of Lance Van Arden.
At first, neither Lance nor Claudia understand that the odd connection they both feel in the presence of each other is anything more than Claudia’s respect for Lance’s emerging talent as a writer and Lance’s need for a mentor. Both resist the mutual attraction because they share the conventional wisdom that anything more would be wrong. But destiny collides with established rules as mutual dreams and twists of fate propel them together.
Lance and Claudia’s steamy and blissful private world collides with social norms and parental suspicion.Because of their courage and an absolute certainty that they are soul mates having some greater purpose as yet undiscovered, they become modern-day folk heroes when that remarkable purpose is revealed and their tale becomes public knowledge.
Their perilous adventure is nudged along by Marco Cerasuolo, a flamboyant, sophomore with prodigious psychic powers whose spirit guides, Daniel and The Bear, offer hints and cryptic riddles.

Love story with a mystical heart
Ronald Lewis Weaver is the Senior Producer of the world's most watched soap opera/telenovela The Bold and the Beautiful. This is his first novel, and it is a love story with a surprisingly mystical heart.Actress Betty White had this to say: "Not since Bridges of Madison County have I been so involved in someone else's very private life. For an even more impossible forbidden love you must read Soul Mate--You won't put it down."For anyone who's ever had a mysterious dream, longed for a soul mate, or wondered if you had a destiny to fulfill, this novel will spark your imagination. I've read it many times and thought it was a delightful read - easy to recommend!
GREAT REVIEWS AND QUOTES
Since Soul Mate has just been published, I'm very pleased about the instant groundswell of enthusiastic reactions.
The Canyon News (Los Angeles) said "...such a rich, diverse and exciting cast of characters in such an illicit and taboo relationship makes this book one of the most exciting I've ever read and surely a candidate to become a literary classic." See the entire review in The Canyon News. [...]
Experience it yourself at the exclusive Book Launch on September 16, 7pm. Featuring readings by Lesley-Anne Down, Lesli Kay, Joseph Mascolo and Ronn Moss, visits from many other stars, and a signing by the author. At Barnes & Noble at The Grove, 189 Grove Drive, Los Angeles 90036. Consider yourself invited!"
The Dowagiac Daily News (Michigan) said, "As the cover teases, teacher + student = disaster. Or does it?
Not in Weaver's capable storytelling hands. A story of forbidden love which would seem to have a high ick factor actually proves uplifting."

Soul Mate turns upside down our usual beliefs about a romance between a teacher and a student. Great characters of depth and passion locked in a seemingly hopeless relationship facing impossible obstacles. Throw in an outrageous, teenage psychic to guide our hero through a maze of riddles, along with a puritanical principal who suspects the worst, and you have all the ingredients for a great story that compels you to keep the pages turning to a surprising ending. It's a fun read about a weighty subject.
A wonderful summer read. It's the ultimate plane or summer beach book. Fast-paced with really interesting characters. The hero, Lance, is the guy you'd like to be stranded on a desert island with. This is subject matter reflected in today's headlines. It's important, and should be taken seriously. Perfectly delightful.
I've either seen or acted in a lot of romantic stories in my career and, believe me, Soul Mate is unique. Tender, erotic, mystical, globally conscious, with a sense of purpose, Ron Weaver has made it work like gangbusters. A page turner.
Before I read Soul Mate, if you?d told me I'd be rooting for a relationship between a teacher and her student, I'd have said, "You're crazy." But these are great characters and a great story. Not only did I root for them, I was inspired by them. This novel engaged me as much as the four Twilight books I'd just finished. And the love scenes--Wow!

I've read Soul Mate five times. That should tell you something. It?s been a mind-blowing experience every time and always leaves me wanting more. Can't wait to see the movie!
Soul Mate is one of those novels that gets under your skin. You keep turning the page to scratch the itch. I was smiling when I got to the last page, finally soothed and satisfied. Great characters. Loved the unraveling of a love that shouldn't be (by society's standards), but is because a powerful destiny is in charge.
A journey of unforgettable intensity, woven with wisdom and passion that ignites the soul leaving it hot and sweet and more alive than humanly bearable. Don't read this book--devour it!
