Extrait : 30 Seconds to Mars est un groupe de rock progressif américain, originaire de Californie. Il est fondé en 1998 par l'acteur Jared Leto et son grand frère Shannon Leto. Les frères Leto jouaient de la musique ensemble depuis leur enfance, et décideront de créer leur groupe de rock en 1998, alors que Jared Leto avait déjà acquis une certaine notoriété en tant qu'acteur. Mais à ses débuts, le groupe refusera d'utiliser la notoriété de son leader pour se faire connaître, et c'est en donnant quelques petits concerts dans des bars que le groupe commence à faire ses preuves. Arrive alors leur premier single Welcome to the Universe en 2001 grâce auquel ils se font rapidement remarquer, notamment par le groupe Puddle of Mudd qui les invite aussitôt à tourner avec eux aux États-Unis. C'est grâce à cette tournée que le groupe signe chez Immortal Records et Virgin Records. Le groupe suscite un véritable engouement et le nombre de fans croît à grande vitesse, formant ce que le groupe baptisera l'Echelon ou Mars Army. Véritable armée de rue, la Mars Army se charge de faire connaitre le groupe lors de missions propagandes auprès de radios, de chaînes de télévisions ou encore dans la rue ou dans les festivals. Elle étonne par son dévouement et par son caractère international. En effet, on compte des Divisions de l'Echelon aux États-Unis, en Europe, au Japon, en Russie ou encore en Australie. Harold Montgomery, Sr. (April 19, 1911December 17, 1995), was an agricultural businessman and a Louisiana state senator, who is remembered as an outspoken conservative within his state's dominant Democratic Party. He represented District 36 -- Bossier and Webster parishes and, later, part of Bienville Parish -- in three nonconsecutive terms in the Senate, 19601968 and 19721976. As with the "S" in Harry S. Truman, the "A" in A. Harold Montgomery stood for nothing. Montgomery was born in Humble, near Houston in Harris County, Texas, to Alley C. and Martha Belle Montgomery. He was one of eight children who moved in 1921 with their parents to tiny Linton in Bossier Parish. The Montgomerys then relocated to Benton, the parish seat, so that the children could receive a better education.
