Uninteligent, Mean spirited, and very Unprofessional
It is not only that I'm a conservitive that I don't like your book. It was just that you put it together so poorly and unprofessional like. You are obviously an amature. The way you attack conservitives doesn't help yourposition at all. It just makes you look childish, and doesn't help get yourpoint across.

A Basic Waste of Time to Read.

The author said it all in his critique, the book is a looser
You are correct when you say your book is a looser.You have no idea what you are talking about but you might consider making an appointment with a therapist, it might do you some good.And please don't waste anymore ofyour time or ours with such trash.

Mr. Rahman's book isillogical and ANTI-Christian.
Couched in philosophical terms is a post modern world view of a teenager who grew up in the late 1980's and early 1990's.A person who declares that there is no such thing as right and wrong, yet by the verydecisiveness of the statement implies that this absence of absolutes is inof itself an absolute.How's that for logic.His methodology of argumentcomes from an unclear understanding of the practices of religion.I haveno doubt that Mr. Rahman would gladly see to it that religion would only bepracticed within the confines of a religious sanctuary and that no oneshould bother anyone by their intrusive beliefs.Sorry, Mr. Rahman, butthe bubble that you intend to keep religion in has burst a long time ago. The First ammendment prohibits ANY RESTRICTIONS on the freedom of religion. His language shows that he has a contempt for anything religious.Yet,how easily it is for him to feign tolerance.Tolerance is something Mr.Rahman has shown very little of towards anyone who holds a Christianbelief.He says that one can practice their religion as long as it doesn'tget in his way.Unfortunately, for Mr.Rahman that is, the very nature oftwo of the most adhered to religions, Christianity and Islam, does not lenditself to introvert praxis.Mr. Rahman claims to be open minded, yetrestricts his view of reality to the empirical.How open minded can such arestricted realm be. He openly admits that he is secular, yet feignstolerance for other religions.In his statement "man's so-called godcalled God," Rahman reveals his abhorrence of and ignorence of anyreligion."The death of traditionalism" touts Rahman in hisbook's title.From traditionalism to what?Post-modern schitzophrenia.Ithink not.To the dismay of Mr. Rahman, there are still many people whohold the view of the "traditionalist".Mr. Rahman's book is aclassic example of a person who is trapped by their limited anthropologicalview of reality.

Rahman's bitterness towards our conservative base is evident
In this book Rahman conveys an attitude of disgust towards those conservative ideals that are the very foundation of our country. Sadly, he displaces his anger and bitterness toward conservatism on Limbaugh. Despitehis political views, of which I almost completely disagree with, his bookfails on many levels beginning with his lazy and inarticulte writing style.

Rush Limbias is Biased. Go figure
Rahman's book is, at best,a refreshing look on MR. Limbias. His writing style and manners are crude but to the point. However, intellectually speaking, Rahnman's philosophy/ideology is just as scary to me as a RightWing Extremist's is.Rahman speaks of a freedom that is unknown to anyjust society, a rebellious type of free spiritedliberty that advocates afalse sense of exemption from laws and authority. I know it's a hopelessundertaking to debate about fundamental value judgements such as this one.However, I will invite anyone to read Plato's works which are an excellentaccount on how Mr. Rahman's flawed secular ideology fails time and timeagain in societies because of it's unrestricted selfish nature. No just manis free to do whatever he pleases. This is a myth that should be discardedwith when one is part of a social matrix. A just society is based on thebelief that respects authority and recognizes that there are indeed thingsthat are above one's self.Rahman introduces a concept that makes itacceptable to defy moral, secular and ethical laws. True, God gave us thefreedom to murder, obey laws and ultimately live our lives as we choose.But we do not necessarily have a right to do all of the above. Do We?Ironically, Rahman believes that this type of secular self driven ideology,which is not as new and unique as he thinks,is intellectually superior tothat of a "brain washed" conservative such as Limbaugh. However,no one can deny that Rush Limbaugh is a biased man who searches unwittinglyfor that which might strengthen his point of view.But then again, are wenot all guilty of this.

And one more point.Rahman offers a clearwindow in to his soul when he praises and reveres Mr. Cobain as a man andmusician. I, too, loved the Band and the music but never would I respect aman who was so consumed with his internal affairs, his drugs, and himselfthat would ultimately and tragically desert his wife and children becauseof his own selfish need to end his life (Scott Weiland could be next). Bizarre Hidden Gem
This book is a pet lover's delight, if you are not politically correct or easily offended. The slim volume contains cute and cuddly anecdotes about how pets got their names (a cat jumps on the TV set only when the 1990s show Blossom is on, hence it is cleverly called Blossom). And of course there are the titular creatures on the cover, named for their putative resemblance to larger than life radio personages.

What separates this from a traditional pet names book is that the author (with a silly name himself, Francis Pfaff) chimes in at the end of each personal story to insult the contributor! And he insults these "pet parents" with all the campy, sniping venom of a bitter old gay dude. No homophobe I, but it is pretty clear that the acerbic Mr. Pfaff is not fond of the ladies. In fairness, he doesn't seem fond of anyone.

RUSH EXPOSED!!
I did get a couple of laughs about Rush's bumbling attempts around women during his high school years.Limbaugh comes off as quite timid with the ladies.
To me, the highlight of this unauthorized biography of Rush is when Limbaugh use to boast how he dodge the draft during Vietnam war.Mr. Right-winger is definitely proud of his achievement during the war. Limbaugh is total void of any shame like Prez AWOL on his conduct during the war
Also amusing is how Rush flunked out of college.I guess Limbaugh's professors were not quite as gullible as his millions of sheep listeners.So Rush spent the war years spinning records at some hic radio station in Missouri.I don't know where conservatives get their heroes.

A good book to have.
A very informative book.Thanks for selling it to me and thanks for the fast response time.

A cut above the normal I hate Limbaugh book
This book is a cut above the usual I hate Rush Limbaugh book. It includes some useful analysis as well as merely pointing out what a jackass Limbaugh is.

An Assault On The Reader
I am not a big fan of Rush Limbaugh, I would even admit to somewhat disliking the man.I also tend to fall to more of the moderate side of the political isle.So you would think that I would have really liked this book, unfortunately for me I did not.I am all for going after the many misstatements that Rush makes and his very far right wing view of the world.I would have even enjoyed a bit of grief given to the conservative section of the Republican party, but this book went way beyond what I wanted to read.The author started out taking on the items are mentioned above, it was just that the author used this as a starting point.He went after everything to the right of full blown socialism.

As I read I kept thinking what in the world is this guy thinking.He has an issue with about everything that is remotely associated with the Republican party.He was mad at business owners having the ability to move their businesses around the U.S., he does not like any kind of anti union activity and he is aghast that anyone might be opposed to government control of all aspects of the community.Overall the author takes the opportunity of this book to beat up on everything slightly red.The venom kept increasing through the book to the point that you feel like the author is standing up in front of you yelling.

Overall the book was far too negative for me.The author has a huge chip on his shoulder and he is going to let the world know about it.I was looking for a funny and campy book that took as many shots at Rush about his politics as it did about his waistline.If you are a hard core hater of all things Republican then you will probably enjoy the book. If you are looking for anything a bit less over the top then keep looking.

Pathetic
I'm not surprised that many of the reviewers here gave the books such high marks.Their reviews, much like the book, are littered with misspellings and other inaccuracies.Perhaps we can blame this on the evil Conservative Right-Wing establishment known as our education system....oh, wait....it's largely Liberal?Holy cow.Oh, sorry, a religious reference.Shame on me!

The Great Con...period!
I thought this was a pure expose book on the great limbaugh but after reading it, it was more like finishing a course on Socialism, Political History and Economics.
This book does a great job in explaining in a non-condecending, patient manner on how this whole country will eventually turn into Spartanburg... anti-worker, anti-community, anti-union and seeping with greed. And we have rush and the right to thank for.
I do listen to rush, just to see if he is intelligent and credible.I didn't see any believable credibility there, but there's a lot of hate and disdain.Hate for anyone who's isn't as sophisticated, who didn't have a formal education, who don't belong to the right, social, ethnic and economical strata and mostly disdain for humans who labor with their hands and backs.That's why it is so important for working people to read this book, because it reiterates something that is so true "Labor creates all wealth for all people to share." Workers are the essential equation in a Democratically successful society. Workers are not to be hated and disdained, after all, Mr. Patrick J. Hurley, isn't that what God and religion is suppose to be about, love, sharing and brotherhood?

Ofcourse this bookhas much, much details and really delves into a lot of statistics but it doesn't make you feel bogged down. Kelly's writing style is easy to comprehend, even when he gets technical.He can also be sarcastic and funny at times.I really appreciate this book as a working, tax paying person. ... Read more

Awesomely funny!
Awesome! Fall on the floor funny. Rush Limbaugh is a bigger fatter idiot here than Al Franken could have ever written. This book also spares you Franken's biography, cleverly concealed in his Rush Limbaugh book.

CONSERVATIVES DON'T GET IT!!!
Obviously, some of the other reviewers are conservatives. They don't get it! This is a funny book, with a capital F! The only thing mean-spirited is the rhetoric from Limbaugh that inspired it. It is well written, fluid, easy to read.He is indeed, but this book says it better!

I am very disappointed in this book!
With the possible exception of "Rush Limbaugh is a big fatidiot and other observations," this is the most mean spiritedbook ever written in the English language!

My recomendation is that it's not worth reading.
The literary style and the sentence structure made it adifficult book to enjoy.Most of the observations made in the bookwere wrong. Because of the short chapters and superficial statements, the book never goes into detail enough to prove that the accusations are correct. I recommend a "SKIP IT" on this book

Entertaining and Educational
If you want an easy to understand book on how to recognize the persuasive tactics used in the media, this is for you. Very informative in how to recognize when you are being manipulated .A great text for universities for linguistics, critical thinking, writing, ethics, political science, persuasive language, advertising, public policy, environmental science, and other courses.

A textbook on falacious reasoning, not an attack on rush.
Dittoheads will still be offended to learn how few sound arguments their hero uses. But, Rush haters may be disapointed. The author doesn't challenge Mr. Limbaugh's beliefs or opinions, only his arguments. If you liked "Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot", this probably isn't for you. But, if you enjoy critical thinking, this is a nice change of pace from the usual dry textbook.

I don't know what I was thinking when I purchased this book about ten years ago.It was a complete waste of time and money, who in their right mind would ever read such rubbish.The arguments against Mr Rush were completely off and erroneous.Don't buy into this media propaganda.

Rush fighting his losing battle with reality
This book chronicles a number of Rush's memorable whoppers. Having always been dubious of many of his claims, and seeing so many people take him seriously, this book was a welcome addition to "The Way Things Aren't", another book on Rush's seeming inability to tell the truth.For anyone who listens to this show with disbelief, but is not quite sure why it's so hard to believe...here's why.

Recursive inaccuracies
An interesting effort gone awry.The book contains a number of statements by Rush Limbaugh which are analyzed and debunked.The problem is believability, on both sides.Many of the 'factual' sources for the debunking information are as biased and questionable (despite the official-sounding names) as the biased and questionable sources used by Limbaugh himself (again, despite the official-sounding names).They catch Limbaugh in a number of flat-out lies (or mistakes, if you're being generous), but the vast majority of the 'errors' aren't errors at all, but items spun to seem like them.See also "The Way Things Aren't" by FAIR, which does the same thing, with just as spotty a record toward real accuracy.Both books try to portray Rush as constantly spewing lies and inaccuracies, which is a false portrayal, just as Limbaugh himself portrays himself as consistently correct, an equally myopic view.
Basically, a book for those who wish to feel better about their ideological point of view, because Liberals will be able to accept the spun retorts as if they're correct, and Conservatives will be able to pick apart the inaccuracies in the book itself without letting themselves deal with the notion that they're all based off things Limbaugh misrepresented.If you're already firm in your beliefs, this book is for you; if you're looking for an unbiased approach to debunking Limbaugh's errors, keep looking elsewhere.

Just the facts...
Flush Rush is a great attempt to chronicle Limbaugh's unbelievably poor record of telling the truth.The one setback is that there are so many twists of truths and blatant lies that one would need a book publisheddaily to try to salvage somebrain cells lost while listening toLimbaugh's garbage. I am happy that there are people who are trying topolice this liar and attempt to stop the dumbing down of the minds of hislisteners.Unfortunately, I feel that the hard-core"ditto-heads" will never even hear of this, as they are sheep ledby their 12-3pm talk show god.

Sometimes the truth hurts
As evidence by the reviews, what most people think of this book depends on which side of the political spectrum they happen to be on. Whats most interesting is that people on the far right constantly talk about howliberals are liars and such, which sometimes is true, but they never wantto talk about their own. When presented with the other side of the story(in this case the truth) they either dont want to hear it at all or simplydeny reality, because often reality doesnt fit with "the way thingsought to be". This book, although not nearly as funny or entertainingas "rush limbaugh is a big fat idiot", is more factual and stillinteresting if you have ever listened to his show. A sadly implausible update of Moby Dick
Yes how could one not want to pick up this book? But as someone who has actually been on a whale hunt I must point out that actually doing away with Rush would be far more complicated than depicted here. For instance Rush has an unusually thick layer of fat and his morbidly bulbous frame could absorb far more bullets than most guns now on the market. It's also possible that say an explosive device could be quickly drowned in the puddles of blubber. An arrow might not be able to penetrate the blubber either, as Captain Ahab could tell you. And there is also the possiblity that Rush having spent nearly a decade smashed out of his gills on pain pills and may have developed a threshold for pain that normal Americans with a basic moral fabric may not quite understand. Still putting aside those cavaets it was a lively fantasy and perhaps the sort of book to send your local ditto head out to his bunker indefinitely.

Rush is self-destructive!
A novel about someone killing Rush isn't needed.What's need is for people to read Thom Hartmann's book, "Screwed: The Undeclared War Against the Middle Class".For someone interested in politics, left or right, it's the important read.

A Master Storyteller
It was a great story or rather, several stories expertly woven together by a masterful storyteller. I truly enjoyed it. I find it hard to believe this is a first effort. I look forward to the next book with anticipation.

A Great Book
The Assassination of Rush Limbaugh is the story of two immigrant families in search of the American dream. The family from France takes up law, politics, and police work, while the Sicilian family descends into a life of crime. For the better part of a century, the families' courses fatefully intersect and intertwine until, in the climax, the youngest descendant of the French family finds herself in a losing race to prevent the hit man of the organized crime family from shooting America's number one talk radio personality.

Along the way, readers go to artillery training and World War I combat with Harry Truman.They experience Truman's angst for the Presidential decision to use atomic bombs on Japan and they go ashore with American troops invading Sicily in World War II.Readers sit in the courtrooms where three historical trials change the legal face of America.They experience the life of an American Mafiosi from birth through his membership in a violent Brooklyn street gang to his rise to the inner sanctum of a New York crime family.

Readers tune in to the development of talk radio, and the fear it instills in politicians, from its first broadcast at the 1915 San Francisco Worlds Fair to today's round-the-clock diatribes.They sit in on closed-door meetings where that fear gradually leads powerful politicians to plot the murders of the two most popular talk show hosts.

Readers feel the icy fear and terror in the minds of two victims of exotic and deliberate murder by a hit man whose very name means nightmare in Italian.

And finally, readers get to know Jodie Farmer, as she goes from adolescent to college pal of a mafia captain's son to heroic FBI Special Agent.They feel her take a terrorist's bullet while foiling a nearly successful plot to kill tens of thousands in America's northwest.And they're by her side in the climactic gun battle inside Rush Limbaugh's Florida mansion.

I love the book and highly recommend it.

Must set the record straight
I was hoodwinked into buying this book by the few reviews posted here, so I'm hoping to offer a little guidance to others who might actually be interested in political-thriller type novels.

This is a truly amateur, sophomoric effort at fiction writing.And whoever the publishing company is, they've apparently cut out the middleman by foregoing an editor.In a 20-page stretch near the beginning of the book I found a half-dozen anachronisms (using facial tissues in 1915, but not invented until 1930; a female Columbia Law grad in 1917, but no woman at Columbia Law until 1927) and malapropisms (Nez Perce glasses instead of pince-nez, a voice quivering instead of quavering).

The characters are cardboard and events follow the most cliched patterns:in the climactic gunfight in the year 2016 the hero and villain each shoot each other in the right shoulder; then as the villain claws across the floor after his gun, Rush Limbaugh dives onto the floor (at age 65!) to grab the gun and to squeeze off a kill shot.Cheesy, cheesy, cheesy.

This is truly bottom-of-the-barrel stuff.Be forewarned.
