Product Description
She was a woman of confidence, focus, and passion, and it made her one of the world's most inspiring and influential women. She drew on a remarkable well of self-knowledge and a sense of purpose to cope with extraordinary public demands and overwhelming private difficulties.

What Jackie Taught Us offers Jackie's lessons about living life with poise, grace, and zest-including wisdom about image and style, courage and vision, men, marriage, motherhood, and motivation-and how to apply those lessons to the way each one of us lives. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Nothing New here - But Interesting
There is nothing new about the ever fascinating Jackie in this book. I guess that would be hard given the volumes deveoted to her. However, the book is well written and the subject matter is always interesting.

3-0 out of 5 stars good book but full of opinions and inconsistencies
I have read about the Kennedys for many years, especially Jackie. The author's bio at the end of the book indicates that she was "for many years a neighbor in the same New York City apartment building."That sounded good. However, on page 3, she wrote, "In 1989, my husband, Bill, and I purchased an apartment at 1040 Fifth Avenue."Thus, her "many years" of being Jackie's neighbor were only four to five years considering that Jackie died in May, 1994.Somehow, these two statements were not credible, and I began reading the book wondering what else I would find. The book seems to be full of opinions.I could write a similar book of my opinions.

The author clearly has not done her research about the Kennedy's.On page 192, she writes, "Later, they would build Wexford, their own retreat in Virginia."From my readings, that house was being built when John was killed, and Jackie never lived there.

On page 199, the author wrote that "Jackie bought her own compound on Martha's Vineyard."She did not buy a compound. She bought land and then built a house.

There are little untruths throughout the book that bother me.I suspect the author wanted to cash in on Jackie.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Written Tribute
This was an excellent and very informative book on the elegant Jackie Kennedy Onassis.I feel as though I understand her and have even greater respect than I already had for her (if that is possible). She was a strong, classy, dignified woman who lived her life according to her own terms.I respect how well she raised her children and remained intact after soooo much heartache and disappointment in her life.People can learn a lot from her.A very well written biography.

5-0 out of 5 stars WHAT????
terrific book about the elegant Mrs. Kennedy, highly recommend if you are a Jackie fan.

1-0 out of 5 stars a very on the surface book
This book is not for serious readers, people who would hope to find an insighful and serious understanding of the subject. It merely touches the surface of a myriad of interesting questions. The language itself is shalow, repetitious and the few scatterd thoughts of the author are utterly unoriginal and mundane. ... Read more
