"Sex and the City" Meets Sin City
What a fun book! Definitely a small departure for Gemma, as this isn't a romantic mystery, but all of her hallmarks are here: wonderful writing, snapping dialogue, and hilarious observations. Gemma brings together four wildly different story lines in a very fun and thoughtful novel. Like the other reviewer mentioned, I was sorry to see this one end.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.The characters seemed like real people and I was sorry when the book was over.I am a great fan of the high heel series and I am more pleased with this author than ever.Read everything she writes.Gemma Halliday rocks!!!!

This is NOT a good book
This really seems like four short stories that are connected.All the stories are told in the first-person point of view (I) and ALL of the characters sound exactly alike, even the male.I couldn't tell whose story I was reading because the voices were the same.

Let me make this clear:I loved the HIGH HEEL series.I've read and enjoyed all of them.Ms. Halliday is a terrific writer with wonderful humor--on those books.

And the characters were so awful.They were either drunk or hung over most of the time.Ella is caught in a bad marriage and has no idea what's going on.Nor(SPOILER ALERT) does she seem to realize her spending all night out partying with her friends could be a problem.Kit is supposed to have "IT" but she's in love with a married jerk and takes revenge by destroying him--very immature considering he didn't FORCE her to sleep with him nor did he promise to be faithful.We're supposed to admire her heroic stand--but it came over as petty and self-centered.Mary has a dead end job and is constantly looking for someone to fix her.She does have an epiphany at the end, the only good thought these women possessed.David was the only character I liked and he wimped out on his boyfriend.All in all, NOT a bunch of people I enjoy reading about, immature drunks, at least all the ladies.

This is very short.The last 10% is filled with excerpts from other books.

Not Pleased
This is not a full length book.This is a VERY SHORT short story.Not worth $$

Also fooled into buying this short short short story
It should be made clear how long this story was. Not worth the money even though a cute story. this turned me off from buying anything from this author.

Who says short can't be sweet?
I've read Gemma Halliday's High Heels series, as well as Scandal Sheet and Confessions of a Bombshell Bandit, and have come to expect seamless writing and excellent characters from her-and this wonderful short really delivers! I love the little bit of mystery and the great attention to sensual detail that drew me right into the story. It's often hard to satisfy in a shorter format, but this author never disappoints!

Short but packs a big punch
This is a short story. But every word counts. She hooked me right from the beginning and maintained the tension cleverly as I wondered: Which door would open? I hope she gives us the hero again in a full novel. In the meantime, this story will give you a good taste of Ms. Halliday's writing. It was great fun.

I'm Bringing Sexy Back
This should be on every single woman's must read list. A girlfriend of mine suggested I read it. I was a sceptical at first. I pretty much read every single girls guide to dating there is. I have to say I love it. This book is full of honest down to earth give it to you straight information. I can't wait to put my Goddess tips to work.

It's about time that someone wrote a book like this. I enjoyed all of the insightful information,I thought I had forgot some of these tips but this book helped me remember how things are suppose to be. It is full of really simple but real tips. I wasn't to sure what to expect but I am so happy my friend suggested this to me. What a great giggle I had reading this. There were so many good reminders about things I had let go by the way side (things my Momma told me) and plenty of tips that I really hadn't considered before. I highly recommend this for anyone on the dating scene and even for those in relationships looking to spice things up.
