The item was fine, but the wrong one
Beauty and the Beast did not have listed that it was Easy Piano when I was shopping on line.I had to find out the hard way.The problem was taken care of promptly and well, however.

Watch out if you are buying this item used.I bought it based off of the look inside tab and GOT A DIFFERENT BOOK IN THE MAIL.This is VERY distressing because I bought this book for a rare song... THE ONLY MUSIC I WANTED.Can you guess what song was not in the book?!?!A Change in Me should have been the last song, but It WASN'T IN THE BOOK I RECEIVED.

On the "look inside" feature, Amazon shows the actual full version of the book. What you get is the easy piano version. I ordered the book to be used for vocal audition pieces, and for that this book does not work.

Not What I expected
When ordering this product I thought this was the full lenghth version but when receiveing it I noticed it is easy piano.If that is the item you wish to order then this product is for you.In my case it wasn't.

BEAUTIFUL SCORE!
Aida has an incredible score! Each song is wonderfully written, a great book for any singers or performers to own! Great rock songs, ballads, and beautiful duets all in one show! 5 stars!

Genius Broadway Score
This is one of the greatest musical books I have purchesed! The music is great and when you hear yourself play it, it feels like you have always been the one playing it on the CD. Some of the songs have 5 or 6 #'s & b's in them. But it's a challenge to learn them!!!

Elton John an ultimate disappointment
I love Elton John's music, but this show is disappointing overall.It seems as if, by constraining himself to the Broadway style, the music becomes boring at times.Most of these songs need expert performers to retain the interest of the audience.This just isn't up to the Elton John/Bernie Taupin collaborations we are used to.

Aida songbook
This book is very thorough, includes most all of the songs from the show. Chords are provided for less advanced musicians, but the piano score is quite difficult - not for beginners! Intermediates will be able to play about half the songs easily. True to the soundtrack, and all the parts are provided as well as the lyrics and details about which character is singing. Love this book!

Very good!!!
This book is excellent - it contains piano music for most of the songs in the musical, and the transcriptions are largely faithful to the very pianistic Broadway score. All of the songs are complete, containing the piano versions of the instrumental solos found in the actual score. It also has guitar chords and lyrics for singers, with a separate line for the singers' notes, complete with harmonies.Unlike many Broadway music books, this one is very thorough and does not disappoint!!! Although that playing some songs in their entirety may be a difficult task for beginning pianists, the result of playing the music from this great musical is well worth the effort, and I'm sure that pianists and singers of all levels will enjoy this book. ... Disappointed
I was disappointed in the fact that music to all the songs were not included in the book. The nine songs that are in are good but to leave out the songs with Judas and the High Priests and Jesus and Pilate and Simon Zealots is not right.

JC SuperStar Piano Edition
Although this score does not include all the intermittent recitatives and orchestral arrangemtnts, it does offer a good piano transcription of the major songs with words.For anyone wnating to use any of the songs of JCS, this publication is very good.

Good Stuff
For the most part, I was pretty impressed with this. There are some problems, most mentioned already. My biggest issue with this is that it doesn't include "Damned For All Time/Blood Money", my favorite song on JCS.

Excellent for playing songs from JCS
The songs included in this book are Heaven on Their Minds, Everything's Alright, Hosanna, Pilate's Dream, Last Supper, Gethsemane, King Herod's Song, and Superstar.A few things should be noted:Firstly, Heaven on their Minds does not include the "all gone sour" last four verses that are used in live productions of jcs.Instead the song is written to fade away.That might present a problem to people performing or using that song for an audition.The last supper only includes the chorus that the apostles sing.Superstar is tuned to a C instead of the original E that is on all of the recordings and live productions.Other than that, all the other keys are the same as you might hear them on cd recordings, 1973 movie, and live productions.Chords are also included for guitar players.

Good book for beginners
This book contains the partitures of the songs mentioned in Uppercase in the Editorial's review and the lyrics for all the other songs of this great rock-opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The partitures are written for piano,with chords for guitar and lyrics, and are quite faithful to the originalsongs. They aren't difficult, so you can play them without too muchtroubles and remember with pleasure the voices of Yvonne Elliman, CarlAnderson, Ted Neeley and the other artists. This book doesn't give you acomplete satisfaction if you are instead looking for a more"seriously" thing, with all the partitures including theinstrumental songs. ... Read more

Excellent!

This is a nice collection of piano/guitar/vocal sheet music for the Evita movie (originally a musical). It includes Madonna's single "You Must Love Me" which was written for the movie and not a part of the original Broadway show.

I would strongly recommend this book to anyone. The music is great and the arrangements are not too hard to play, for the most part. Personally I had trouble with "And The Money Kept Rolling In (And Out)" because it is in 7/4 time but in general any intermediate pianist should be able to enjoy this collection. "You Must Love Me", "I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You" and "On This Night of a Thousand Stars" are particularly good, as well as the popular "Don't Cry For Me Argentina".

The wonders of the woman are shown in what she accomplished.Evita is the woman behind the title of this fantastic romp through a piece of history as well as a part of her life.I truely enjoyed this work of art.Itprovides insight through effective pecimism while allowing the reader toformulate his or her own opinion of this beloved first lady.Through anunfortunate childhood, the death of her biological father, the coming ofage, and the phases of growing up, everthing happens for a reason; themeeting of Colonel Peron! The life she lead should not be compared toanother.The entire story is heartfelt and moving...just keep in mind thisis one author's perception.There are many more references to choose, butthis is a good one to begin your Eva Peron education.I also recommend 'Inmy own words' by Evita herself. ... Aladdin had some of Disney's best songs
I know 7 songs might not seem like a lot, but these songs are all great and pretty good length. Disney is known for its magical songs that put you in a trance. Disney songs are known mainly to target kids, but also are so creative and musical that adults can't help but admire the beautiful works of the Disney classics. Aladdin was one of my favorite childhood movies, and the 90s was the best years for animated Disney movies hands down, and the music in these movies made them more even more memorable. Aladdin songs have an Arabian vibe to them, making them unique sounding. Friend Like Me is an up beat and cheerful song sung by Genie, prince Ali is more of a traditional sounding Arabian song with sort of a Disney vibe to it, and the most famous in this book, A Whole New World, is a slow duet between Jasmine and Aladdin. I think buying this book at full price new is a rip though, you're only getting 7 songs for $15, so if you can find this book for $5 or less, then buy it.
