5-0 out of 5 stars fuzzytail friends is one of my 1-year old's favorites
My 1-year-old daughter LOVES Puppy PeekaBoo, so I ordered The Fuzzytail Friends Great Egg Hunt from the internet, since it is also a Peek-A-Board Book. My daughter loves it, and we read in more than once in a sitting. She likes the pictures and the peek a boo holes to see what's on the next page. The animals in the book are very cute and fluffy-looking. I definitely recommend this book if you have a child from 6 months on up. ... Read more

Product Description
The 18th century was a wealth of knowledge, exploration and rapidly growing technology and expanding record-keeping made possible by advances in the printing press. In its determination to preserve the century of revolution, Gale initiated a revolution of its own: digitization of epic proportions to preserve these invaluable works in the largest archive of its kind. Now for the first time these high-quality digital copies of original 18th century manuscripts are available in print, making them highly accessible to libraries, undergraduate students, and independent scholars.
This collection reveals the history of English common law and Empire law in a vastly changing world of British expansion. Dominating the legal field is the Commentaries of the Law of England by Sir William Blackstone, which first appeared in 1765. Reference works such as almanacs and catalogues continue to educate us by revealing the day-to-day workings of society.

1-0 out of 5 stars Where are the missing pages!!
My teenager grew up with this book, and I purchased this for a new baby in the family - SO WISH I had read the reviews and realized that this is NOT the same book.It has been cut down, and not only are some favorite lines gone, it just sounds wierd! It just suddenly ends, and is clear that the last few pages are missing....plus, the pages aren't just chunky, their bizarre - overly thick, almost foam like.I'll be returning this one and gluing my old one back together. Will keep my eyes open for a better edition.

2-0 out of 5 stars Hmmmm
I had high hopes for this little story. It turned out to be a bit of a let down. Price is way too high for this small book. It had potential to be a lovely little story, but it seems to be missing something. Pages are very thick, blue and green foam glued together. I teach a toddler class and found children trying to separate the blue from the green as though they were different pages.

5-0 out of 5 stars Quiet is... a hug
My girls are 18 and 20 years old now and this was long a bedtime favorite when they were very small. I ran across it the other day while cleaning and was moved to tears at the page all in pink hearts that says, "quiet is a hug." We always stopped at that page and hugged when reading this book before bedtime. I'm buying a copy now for a friend's granddaughter, my namesake, who is turning a year old in two weeks. It's a classic.

1-0 out of 5 stars where's the rest?
Our very favorite bedtime book for 9 years and 4 children. However when ours finally wouldn't stay taped together any longer it was discarded to order a new one.Only about half the pages are printed in the new one discluding the very best parts, in our opinion. Please, publishers, please re-release the original!

1-0 out of 5 stars It's not the complete book!
I bought this for a young lady who has a brand-new baby. It's a book that has really thick cardboard pages, and the manufacturing process requires pages in multiples of 8 or something, so THEY LEFT OFF THE LAST FIVE OR SIX PAGES! Yeow! If I was the author, I'd be SO angry about it!

My babies LOVED this book - it used to end with a perfect "time to go to sleep" message. Now it ends abruptly. What moron came up with the idea for this book? ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars For older girls only
I checked this book out from the library before buying, and I am glad I did.Granted, my daughter is only 3, but she got bored with it, and I got really bored reading it to her. There are a lot of terms and mundane details about dancing that I just don't think my daughter would care about for a long time. The book does oddly break into a "Sleeping Beauty" style dream story for several pages that I thought was awkward and totally was lost on my daughter.

I would only recommend this for an older girl who is serious about ballet.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun story but sometimes hard to read out loud
My daughter loves the books and wants me to read it over and over again. She has been taking ballet classes and can relate to the story well.
However, I found the book is kind of hard to read out loud. Ever so often it seems "wordy" and the descriptions are drawn out. I started to make up my own words and skipping some of the sections to make the story more dynamic and give it an easier flow.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE LITTLE BALLERINA
I WORK IN A LIBRARY AND GAVE IT TO A 3YR OLD LITTLE LIBRARY PATRON WHO LIKES TO DANCE AND SHE LOVES THE BOOK AND IS SO HAPPY SHE CAN KEEP IT AND NOT HAVE TO RETURN IT IN THREE WEEKS.

5-0 out of 5 stars the little ballerina
In this stor a little ballerina brought a littlo pink case on the bus.All the children see the little pink case thay nowtoday is balay.Afer she pratis ballet she whit home she fell asleep and dreamed she was a little princess.

3-0 out of 5 stars really cute but be aware of a witch and a kissing prince, all that in a little girls book.Hm
I bought this for my 2 year old one since she is now thinking of herself as a ballerina.
The reviews were helpful and it is a really darling little book.
But perhaps more for someone 3 and up. I was looking for a little book with some pictures and short story of a ballerina.
And though I got it with this book, it is written for an older child. Basically as a 2 year old one my daughter doesn't care if this girl has to practise and how she feels about it. She doesn't care about positions, though I explain to her that this is part of ballet. And in this case the story of the book, BUT nicely done and cute, for someone older.
She gets intersted in the end, when the little girl dresses up and gets to dance on stage.
The book is really cute and I recommend it. Perhaps to someone that has taken a few classes of ballet or is about to and understands the concept more. The author has done a fine job to put the do's and don't's of ballet in this book.
HOWEVER what I was not prepared for was the little girls dream.I mean, she dreams to be on stage dancing. It involves a wicked witch ( yes she looks green and mean ) and also a prince that in the end KISSES the girl. Hello, why does that have to be in the book for a little girl?
I dislike that and am skipping this part totally but of course my little daughter has found the page with the witch in it and now is asking me tons of questions.
That is the reason I gave the low rating. It is really cute and so I couldn't give it a lower rating.
Enjoy. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Can You Say Dinosaur? Now I can!
Simply written for budding paleontologists, this book explains the meaning of dinosaur names (for example, Tyrannosaurus rex means "king of the tyrant lizards"), as well as helps children (OK, and adults) with the pronunciation of these difficult dinosaur names. It poses questions, which are then answered on a child's level, and provides interesting tidbits of information, such as, the Ankylosaurus "was built like an army tank and was probably too tough to chew."Can You Say Dinosaur? is fairly easy to read, suitable for parent-child reading, teacher read aloud, or independent (grade 2+) reading. ...
