Jerry Seinfeld is the master of observational humor. Pointing at the small absurdities of daily life, Seinfeld makes his audience laugh with recognition. For many years a stand-up comic, Seinfeld is now the star of his own phenomenally successful television show, Seinfeld. But the road hasn't always been easy; at his first stand-up performance, he froze. This first unauthorized biography follows his rise to stardom. Also included is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Seinfeld. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A good overview of the life of "The King of Nothing!"
Being a devoted Seinfeld fan, I read all I can on the subject. This book was informative and objective.I would have liked further information about the "behind-the-scenes" of the show and less attention paidto trying to psycho-analyze this man. He's just a normal guy who hasmanaged to turn us all on to how he comically views the world...and whohappened to make a fortune from it!

2-0 out of 5 stars Funny, yet lame
The first few pages of this book really got my interest. But by the time I got to the 10th page, I was falling asleep.I think you get the idea. ... Read more

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! "The Limo" was the 20th episode of the third season of the American sitcom Seinfeld (The 37th episode overall). It aired on February 26, 1992. Jerry flies in from Chicago and George arrives to take him home. His car has broken down on the Belt Parkway and the two are stranded. Jerry points out a limousine chauffeur with a sign for someone named O'Brien. Jerry had seen an O'Brien in Chicago complaining to the airport staff that he had to reach Madison Square Garden. Since the real O'Brien's flight is overbooked and he will not be arriving in New York soon, George tells Jerry that since it is such a long wait to get a cab, they should pose as O'Brien and his colleague and take the limo home. ... Excerpt: Jerome Allen "Jerry" Seinfeld (born April 29, 1954) is an American stand-up comedian, actor and writer, best known for playing a semi-fictional version of himself in the situation comedy Seinfeld (19891998), which he co-created and co-wrote with Larry David, and, in the show's final two seasons, co-executive-produced. In his first major foray back into the media since the finale of Seinfeld, he co-wrote and co-produced the film Bee Movie, also taking on the lead role of Barry B. Benson. In February 2010, Seinfeld premiered a reality TV series called The Marriage Ref on NBC. Seinfeld and the entire cast of Seinfeld appeared on the seventh season of Larry David's HBO original series Curb Your Enthusiasm. Seinfeld was born in Brooklyn, New York. His father, Kalman Seinfeld, was of Galician Jewish background and owned a sign-making company; his mother, Betty, is of Syrian Jewish descent. Seinfeld grew up in Massapequa, New York. In September 1959, his mother enrolled him at Birch Lane Elementary School, from which he continued to Massapequa High School. At the age of 16, he spent a short period of time volunteering in Kibbutz Sa'ar in Israel. He went to SUNY Oswego, and after his sophomore year he transferred to Queens College, City University of New York, graduating with a degree in communications and theater. Seinfeld developed an interest in stand-up comedy after brief stints in college productions. In 1976, right after graduation from Queens College, he...http://booksllc.net/?id=104492 ... Read more

Excerpt: Pee-wee Herman is a comic fictional character created and portrayed by American comedian Paul Reubens. He is best known for his two television series and film series during the 1980s. The child-like Pee-wee Herman character developed as a stage act that quickly led to an HBO special in 1981. As the stage performance gained further popularity, Reubens took the character to motion picture with Pee-wee's Big Adventure in 1985, toning down the adult innuendo for the appeal of children. This paved the way for Pee-wee's Playhouse, an Emmy Award winning children's series that ran on CBS from 1986-1991. Another film, Big Top Pee-wee, was released in 1988. Reubens' arrest on July 26, 1991 caused a media frenzy over the actor and his Pee-wee Herman character. Reubens, who had begun to grow tired and disgusted of the character, used the media attention to shelve his alter ego during the 1990s until his gradual resurrection the following decade. It was during this time that Reubens addressed plans to write a new Pee-wee film, Pee-wee's Playhouse: The Movie. In June 2007, Reubens appeared as the Pee-wee Herman character for the first time since 1991 at Spike TV's Guys' Choice Awards. In the 1970s, Reubens joined the Los Angeles-based improvisational comedy team The Groundlings and remained a member for six years, working with Bob McClurg, John Paragon, Susa...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=551604 ...
