Product Description
Why bring pop culture into the composition classroom? Because it?s something you know and can get passionate about. THE POP CULTURE ZONE: WRITING CRITICALLY ABOUT POPULAR CULTURE focuses on your relationship with pop culture--such as film, television, popular books, and advertisements--and how that relationship can help you become a more critical reader and writer. The authors of this book use pop culture as the bridge between your life and the critical reading, thinking, and writing that are part of freshman composition to help you learn the rules of formal writing as well as more familiar forms of persuasion. You?ll learn to summarize your views effectively, listen to viewpoints that are different from your own, compare and contrast, and present ideas in a way that creates a continuing conversation of ideas. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Book
This was a required text for a college course. The book came as described in terms of condition and came fairly promptly.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible shipping
I have tried for the last month to get this book in. The first time I ordered this book, it was a week until I checked my account and saw that it hadn't even shipped out yet! Now, I have canceled the order and paid for it to get here in about two weeks. It should be here this weekend, but once again, it hasn't even shipped out! I would NOT order another school book off of Amazon, especially for college.

5-0 out of 5 stars Came very promptly
I don't have much to say about this, it was purchased as an obligation to a class. It did come in perfect condition and in 2 days, no complaints at all. Amazon does not disappoint.
