Excerpt: Chantelle Vivien Houghton (previously Preston) (born 21 August 1983, Brentwood, Essex, UK), was the first 'non-celebrity' to feature in the Channel 4 reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother in 2006. She emerged as the winner of series 4, beating 10 bona fide 'celebrities' (Michael Barrymore, Maggot, Preston, Pete Burns, Traci Bingham, Dennis Rodman, George Galloway, Rula Lenska, Faria Alam and Jodie Marsh), and winning a prize of £25,000. Following a much-publicised on-screen courtship, Houghton married former fellow Celebrity Big Brother 2006 contestant Samuel Preston of The Ordinary Boys in August 2006. The couple announced their separation in a joint statement on 27 June 2007, and finally divorced on 21 November 2007. In October 2007, Chantelle was named "TV's latest reality millionaire" and experts reported that her true wealth easily exceeds £1 million. Born in Brentwood, Essex, Houghton was born to parents Alan and Vivien, and has an older brother Greg. Leaving school at 15 with seven GCSEs, she worked in a bank and as an insurance telesales rep. After various friends suggested she would make a good model, Houghton entered a 2001 competition run by a Motorcycle News magazine, and after winning it became a promotions girl. Wanting to be like her heroine Jordan (Katie Price), she undertook some glamour modelling, started out by having her mother take some topless shots in a local park. In 2003, she entered a Daily Star competition as a page three girl, which she didn't win but appeared once in the tabloid newspaper. She appeared as a Soccerette model on Sky TV's Soccer AM show, and worked for a...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=3629252 ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So Funny It Hurts!
Written by comedians Shawn Wayans (television's "In Living Color"; "Scary Movie";"Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood"), Chris Spencer("Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood"), and SuliMcCullough ("Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood"),"150 Ways to Know If You're Ghetto" is a hysterical satire of life in the ghetto. With outrageous, comical illustrations by George Hay, the books looks at life in the ghetto in a humorous view, bypoking fun at stereotypes that are obviously true.

This book will make anyone laugh, especially if you grew up or live in any huge urban metropoliswhere a ghetto exists. I grew up in New York City, and can I tell you that I could not stop laughingafter reading this book, because it is so, so true. I have known girls whose names start with "La,""Ta," and "Sha". I know people who still think that Tupac Shakur faked his death, and I surelyseen people jump into fights that don't involve them. These and the other 147 reasons areguaranteed to make anyone who grew up in such cities as New York, Chicago, or Los Angelesroll on the floor laughing.

Being a small, thin book with only 79 pages should make this an easy read while you commute ortravel, however I must warn you that people will stare at you if you start to laugh too hard. In thesame way the Wayans' brothers spoofed the blaxploitation films of the 1970's with the film "I'mGonna Git You Sucka," the authors of this book do the same when it comes to urban life.Hysterical in every sense of the word, "150 Ways to Tell You're Ghetto" will keep your funnybone entertained for hours.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good book, with good practical excercises but...
This is a good book which is a good reference for me.However, when I got the book and was working through some of the real world exercises.I wanted to download the files that are referenced by the book for the excercises. This is because the book explains more things related to the files than are in the snippets in the book.Anyway, I went to the site referenced and I am continuously getting the page of Death "page can not be displayed".Needless to say I am left wanting.

5-0 out of 5 stars Clear, Concise and more practical than a nappy pin.
Love this book - as a seasoned web developer with heaps of experience I find this book a great reference tool, fantastic prompter when I'm struggling with XML techonologies, all round very well written and did I mention already PRACTICAL.
If your confused now or then by XML or you know nothing and want to learn from scratch then BUY this book.
Chapters are well defined and organised, it covers everything from css - to XSLT, client side, server side applications and good practices. Well written - without this book my XML nappies would be on the floor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very practical oriented
There are dozens of books on XML, the difference is that this is solely focused on the web and very practical oriented; it's not that much about XML theory but it's full of real world examples. The most valuable chapters in my opinion are the ones covering XML support inside the various browsers, the info about client-side XSLT, XML and CSS and DOM manipulation with JavaScript are something that you will not find elsewhere ... Tricks and Treats - Mischief NightBy Cris Anson

Annabelle lusts after her boss, the quintessential tall, dark and dreamy, but after six months, Mr. Smith still calls her Miss Fortier. A Halloween party changes that. Seeing her very formal boss striding toward her wearing nothing but war paint, a skimpy loincloth which leaves nothing to her imagination on a body that is her personal wet dream, Annabelle can't say no when he backs her into a secluded corner and reveals the savage lurking under that sinful smile. Until she hears the real Mr. Smith's irate voice asking, "Miss Fortier, what are you doing?!"

Blindfolded, telling the two men apart takes some ingenuity, but it's the beginning of a night of erotic mischief. When Halloween is over, what will happen at work the next day?

Tricks and Treats - Spells at MidnightBy Jenna Castille

A creature born from lust, Zachary is a satyr. He lives for sex -- literally. So when Renee drags him into the mortal world all he wants is a night of kinky fun and games. He doesn't expect to find a mate chosen for him by the God and Goddess.

But they have one day to discover if theirs is a lust match -- or a love match.

Tricks and Treats - Ghostly AwakeningBy Lacey SavageEighteen years of solitude have annihilated Sebastian Bradley's social skills. Not that he needs them. He's resigned himself to a life of complete seclusion until trouble decides to pitch a tent on his lawn and entice him with wide, curious blue eyes.

Now there are people under Sebastian's roof, invading his privacy, using his home as a locale for a fancy society Halloween bash. One woman's to blame. A woman who in one short week has managed to turn Sebastian's entire world on its axis and awaken hungry, desperate desires that even a ghost can't ignore.

Tricks and Treats - Conjured BlissBy Brigit Zahara

Who says three's a crowd?

Her naughty nocturnal escapades feel so incredibly real that she's convinced she's subconsciously tapping into an energy conduit amplified by Halloween's approach. But when magic is involved, there's always a price.

From the moment Desi de Soto steps into his life, Ian -- an incubus hiding behind the identity of a philosophy professor -- is enthralled...and shocked to discover Desi can withstand his sexual feedings. Providing the revelation of his demonic side doesn't drive her away. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Yaoi Hentai Volume 4
It was alright not as good as the first two but I like owning sets.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is yaoi (M/M) HENTAI, and it delivers what it promises
I just had to review this book, as apparently all other reviewers bought it with very wrong expectations. I recommend it to only very hardcore yaoi fans. If you liked the previous volumes of the series, do get it: it has one of the best artworks in the whole series.
There are five stories in the volume:
1) "Desert Longing" story (the title / cover art) has absolutely gorgeous artwork by my favorite Western/global yaoi artist, M.A.Sambre (art is even better than in "Dark Prince"). Very explicit, tastefully drawn sex scene, with no other "plot".
2) "Uptight Can Be Good" is a caricature, funny, with monster size "tools". Art is caricaturish, not for everyone, but fits the comedic side of the story pretty well. (This story is definitely for mature readers: not just in the sense of explicitness, but also plot-wise. It has "Family Guy" type of humor).
3) "Forbidden Magic" - art is pretty, Japanese-manga style, with clean lines. Rather sweet story. The characters do look young, but this is due to the particular style of the artist (they surely looked much older than "12-year-old" (citing from the previous review), and definitely didn't look like "children" to me).
4) "Not Expecting U" has good, pretty art, which reminded me Kosen a bit. Unexpectedly deep story (well, not really deep, but this is hentai yaoi. By the way, many Japanese manga published in the US feature much less in terms of the plot, and no "explicitness"). The story is about the re-union of two lovers, their re-kindled love, and all the wrong and right choices people make in life.Men are quite masculine (without being "too much"), and the art overall is quite erotic.
5) The Trach / tentacle monster in the lab setting. Amusing, as always.

2-0 out of 5 stars Looks are deceiving...
Don't let the artwork of the cover fool you. It is only the first story of the book that has great artwork. The story of a soldier and an erotic dancer is first. A very short but hot tale of sexual tension and desire.

The next is a tale about guards in the forest taking advantage of jungle men.... terrible art with absolutely no plot. A lot of orgy scenes that aren't even worth getting excited for. Very disappointing from the first story.

The third story is about 2 wizard boys, probably 12 years old. One boy wants to practice dark magic by a powerful and sexy sorcerer. The second boy doesn't want him to go because he loves him. All in all, a very cliche "boy leaves boy to be with sorcerer, but comes back because he loves his friend." Bland, boring, but has somewhat decient art. Shota haters beware.

The 4th story is about rekindling past love. Two lovers come together after a breakup and well.. "make up" for their problems. One finds out something about the other and how his life is differnet and he doesn't want to change and well.... you get what I mean. Good art, but didn't hold my interest for long. If you love over-the-top monster cocks, you will like this one.

The last story is probably the worst. You can't go wrong with a horny tentacle monster, raping everyone in sight. The plot of course is simple as this: Tentacle monster caught raping a boy by a scientist, tentacle monster wants the scientist, scientist gets raped. Repeatedly. But wait! It gets better! The scientist actually likes it! WOw! Who knew?

...

Only 2 stars because of the first story. It shouldn't even get that. Very disappointing. I HIGHLY suggest getting something else instead of spending money on this worthless crap.

1-0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money
I looked at the cover and thought of desert love, dark haired beauty meets another and passion is lit. How foolish I was. The artwork is horrible! The storyline useless! But that's not all the other shorts are just as useless and ugly as the first. Everyone should just do themselves a favor and ignore this book it's not worth the time.

1-0 out of 5 stars omgwtf
This is quite possibly the worst art I have EVER seen on any manga.Seriously, this art is so bad it boggles the mind!Who drew this stuff?!A blindfolded monkey? The Yaoi Hentai series has never been known for the artwork, but this volume takes it down to the next level. I see no need to buy this manga full price, there should be plenty of inexpensive used copies soon. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars It's just OK, I've read better!!!
A lot of the stories in this book have been around a long time - not particulary new and fresh - "Plane Insanity" by Elliott Hester is better if you're in the market for this kind of book/humor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just hilarious
Thought previous reviewers were exaggerating when they said this book was laugh out loud funny.IT IS.Made a fool out of myself on the stationary bike at the gym, laughing audibly as I read and pedaled away.Do yourself a favor especially if you're in a bad mood or down in the dumps...for a good time...read this book!

4-0 out of 5 stars Up, up and away (and fun!)
Being a retired military aviator with several personal friends who are/were airline pilots - I've heard many of the stories in "Betty in the Sky", but most are new to me.My niece is a long-time flight attendant with Lufthansa and she loves the book.At my request she has passed it on to a fellow "Stew" who, in turn, will move it on all over the world!Happy Flying!

5-0 out of 5 stars Betty Shows That With A Good Attitude The Skies The Limit
BETTY IN THE SKY is a great book to remind us of two lessons: It's important to follow your true passion and not take yourself too seriously in life. The book deals with air travel, but we are all on a journey in life that has its share of turbulence and difficulties, but it's all about the way you soar them it. Betty is great at her job. She loves it---and it shows. We should all be so fortunate as to make a living doing what we enjoy, and know that there are rewards larger than money available to us. We can also get some form of personal satisfaction along the way.

5-0 out of 5 stars A top pick for those who want to understand the daily plight of the flight attendant
Thousands of feet in the air is an adventure, just not the sort of adventure she'd like. "Betty in the Sky with a Suitcase!: Hilarious Stories of Air Travel by the World's Favorite Flight Attendant" is a compilation of stories from her beloved podcast, sharing her experiences serving as a flight attendant and dealing with insufferable patrons. "Betty in the Sky with a Suitcase!" is a top pick for those who want to understand the daily plight of the flight attendant.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fight the Leeches on Their Own Turf!
Perhaps one of the most interesting setting books for Werewolf: the Apocalypse, this book ventures into Egypt, the ancient homeland of the Silent Striders. After a wonderful piece of fiction telling the tale of Nepthys, kin to the Silent Striders who fell into vampirism and the punishment she recieved, this book starts out with a nice introduction to the themes and mood of the setting, complete with a lexicon of Garou specific words for Egypt, the Middle East and Africa. The next chapter covers the history of Egypt from the Garou's point of view (with input on the Mokole and Bastet), starting from Set and Osiris' war in ancient Egypt to the coming of Islam to the British, French and Turksih occupations to the modern era. Theres even a nice little timeline of Egypt's history with dates, and a chronology of rulers (the various Egyptian Dynasties, the Roman and Byzantine Empires, Arab Caliphates, etc).

In the subsequent chapter we get a look at major elements in Egypt's culture, politics, geography and environment including a look at Islam, political parties, indigenous wildlife, minorities like the Copts, ancient ruins, cities like Cairo and Alexandria and places such as Lake Nasser or the Sinai. More importantly, there is an examination of the supernatural side of Egypt, including a look at the Tuat, Egypt's unique cultural spin on the Umbra, which includes four Umbral Towers (one for each element and direction, spiritually marking the boundaries of Egypt's borders) and the Twelve Hours of the Night (twelve Umbral Domains from Egypt's mythology). There is also a look at major Garou and Wyrm Caerns in Egypt. The next chaper goes onto to cover major NPCs for each Tribe, including Cairene Glass Walkers and Bone Gnawers, the Silver Fangs of House Wise Heart, Bedouin Uktena, Red Talons in the Western Desert, Sufic Stargazers, British Fianna and, of course, the Silent Striders.

The fourth chapter looks at major storyteller devices in Egypt, such as Jackal Fever, the Eaters of the Dead, the Egyptian Umbra, Sutekh's Curse and a secret Rite developed by the Children of Gaia that allows the Silent Striders to briefly return to Egypt. Theres also an examination of the Ahadi, an alliance of African Fera which includes Egypt in it's territory, and a look at the native Shifters of Egypt (Mokole, Bastet, etc), as well as some information for games set in ancient Egypt. Following this is a chapter on various antagonists in Egypt, such as the vampiric Followers of Set, Endron Oil (a subsidiary of Pentex), the Black Spiral Dancers, the Ratkin of Suez and even a few horrors unique to Egypt. This book does a wonderful job covering Egypt (and the Middle East in general), especially with the metaplot of the Striders trying to retake their homeland from the Leeches. Not only that, but your players can get in on everything from Jackal Fever and the fall of House Wise Heart to the sealing of the Ahadi. A great resource, and it fits in well with other Mummy and "Year of the Scarab" products in representing Egypt and the Middle East.

5-0 out of 5 stars Must have for the Silent Strider fan!
Since I started playing Werewolf: the Apocalypse, one of my favorite tribes has always been the Silent Striders. They are so enygmatic, so tragic. Now, there comes a time for this tribe to get payback! The coming of the Red Star has given hope to the Striders to gain back their ancient homeland. And they have allies in this war!

From the moment you take this book in your hands, it's amazing. It has one of the best cover arts in any Werewolf product I have ever seen (except, perhaps Werewolf: the Dark Ages). The book details the role of the denizens of the World of Darkness in Egypt, from the point of view of the Garou; it tells us more about the Curse that was laid upon the tribe; their connection to the origin of the Setite vampires; a very special kind of Bane that haunts the Egyptian deserts and their relationship towards other supernaturals (other Fera ans the Mummies, for instance).

If you are a fan of this tribe, or if you want to take your Werewolf chronicles into the lands of sand, buy this book! ... Read more
