Excerpt: Bad Girls is the seventh studio album by American pop singer Donna Summer, released April 25, 1979 on Casablanca Records. Originally issued as a double album, it incorporates such musical styles as disco, soul, and rock. Bad Girls became the best-selling album of Summer's recording career, achieving triple platinum sales certification in the United States and ultimately selling near seven million copies worldwide. By the time Bad Girls was released, Summer felt that she was being exploited by her label Casablanca Records, which had been distributing her work in the U.S. since 1975, and had more or less had full control over distributing her work worldwide since 1977. Since the release of her breakthrough, the sexually explicit "Love to Love You Baby", Summer had been named "the first lady of love" and her record label were keen for her to keep this image up, despite the fact that she was never truly comfortable with it. She was told how to act and dress, and she had generally lost control over her career. Her management had even begun taking over her pers...http://booksllc.net/?id=1868462 ... Read more

Product Description
High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! "Walk Away" is a song by Donna Summer from her highly successful Bad Girls album. The album had been released on Casablanca Records, who had given Summer some of her biggest hits during the disco era. However after a dispute Summer left the label and filed a lawsuit against them in 1980 which was later settled. She signed to Geffen Records and begun working on a new non-disco album. In an effort to compete, Casablanca released a collector's edition compilation album entitled "Walk Away" and also released the single of the same title. It was only a moderate hit. When first released, Casablanca promoted it as a Double-A side single, with a re-release of her 1976 hit "Could It Be Magic" on the flip side. Billboard magazine even reviewed it as such, however the much more contemporary sounding "Walk Away" was much more receptive to radio and the record buying public. The 12" single version, at 7:15, was released on "The Dance Collection: A Compilation of Twelve Inch Singles" cd. ... Excerpt: Joni Mitchell, Companion of the Order of Canada ("CC") (born Roberta Joan Anderson; November 7, 1943) is a Canadian musician, songwriter, and painter. Mitchell began singing in small nightclubs in her native Western Canada and then busking on the streets of Toronto. In the mid-1960s she left for New York City and its rich folk music scene, recording her debut album in 1968 and achieving fame first as a songwriter ("Urge for Going", "Chelsea Morning", "Both Sides Now", "Woodstock") and then as a singer in her own right. Finally settling in Southern California, Mitchell played a key part in the folk rock movement then sweeping the musical landscape. Blue, her starkly personal 1971 album, is regarded as one of the strongest and most influential records of the time. Mitchell also had pop hits such as "Big Yellow Taxi", "Free Man in Paris", and "Help Me", the last two from 1974's best-selling Court and Spark. Mitchell's contralto vocals, distinctive harmonic guitar style, and piano arrangements all grew more complex through the 1970s as she was deeply influenced by jazz, me...More: http://booksllc.net/?id=16422 ... Excerpt: Ringo (album) -After releasing the standards tribute Sentimental Journey and the country and western Beaucoups of Blues, both in 1970, Starr would only record and release a couple of singles in the interim, namely "It Don't Come Easy" in 1971 and "Back Off Boogaloo" in 1972. While both were big successes and would have ordinarily inspired albums to support them, Starr declined to follow through, preferring to concentrate on acting during this period. In early 1973, Starr decided the time was right to beginin his mindhis first proper solo album, despite its two predecessors. Having already used Richard Perry to arrange one of the tracks on Sentimental Journey, Starr asked Perry to produce the sessions, which began that March. As soon as Starr sent word to all his musician friends to help him in his new venture, they all responded positively. Taking part in...http://booksllc.net/?id=1404364 ... Read more

Excerpt: "Naughty Girl" is an R&Bdisco song written by Beyoncé Knowles, Scott Storch, Robert Waller, and Angela Beyincé for Beyoncé's debut solo album, Dangerously in Love (2003). Produced by Beyoncé and Storch, the song lives up to the Western sound of its predecessor "Baby Boy". Along with its several awards garnered, the song received positive responses from critics, citing its sensual content. The single was released as the fourth and final single from the album early in 2004. Though it failed to match the success of "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy", however still gaining enormous success reaching number three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, the single had immediate success which helped the album propel on charts. The single received similar responses from international music markets, entering mostly top twenty. The single's music video features Beyoncé flirtatiously and seductively dancing with Atlanta singe...http://booksllc.net/?id=7220211 ... Read more
