5-0 out of 5 stars Mikie Muligan and his steam shovel
Mike Mulligan and his steam shovel is a good book for kids of all ages. The book keeps kids interested and the characters keep them entertained. The plot was very good because it was a situation where if he did not do this he would be done in his business.Anywaythis is a great bok and I hope you read it.

4-0 out of 5 stars THE GIVER
The giver is a very furturistic book. It isn't about space or scientific things. It's more about a future colony of people who deprive themselves from color and true deep emotion. It goes on about a boy who uses precise language which by the way dosn't use general terms like love or pain. In this comunity they have a form of birth control. Birth mothers have 3 children then go on cleaning the comunity. Their jobs are assigned as well as their wife or husband. They even have to apply for a child. This boy lives in this comunity he is now a 12 which is the end of a childs school education. After 12 they are trained to do their assigned job. He was assigned to be a receiver of memory. His job is to recieve all the memories of color, emotions and traits we all have today. His life is a lonely one. The last receiver is now the giver. The giver gives him the memories. The story is telling about how the giver and the boy join together to give these memories back to the comunity so they could live a whole life with true emotions. I liked this book because it showed how we take all these emotions and feelings and even color for grantit alot. It prooved that we dont stop and think about how lucky we are to have these blessings in our life. It really made me stop and be thankful for everything I have. Expessually being able to love and feel even pain. Without it we would be oblivious to any emotion and feeling at all.

3-0 out of 5 stars The Werewolf of Twisted Tree Lodge
The Were Wolf Of Twisted Tree Lodge

There was once a boy who found out about a competition and the prize to the competition is a vacation to twisted tree lodge. He decides io try it out. When he gets the results he finds out that he actually won!He decides to go.Once they get there they give him his story back, he finds out it is the wrong story but doesn't say any thing because he wants to go.As they gave him the papers they slip out of his hands and go flying every were. At twisted tree lodge things happen and every time before they do a paper from the wrong story they gave him appears and tells the future of the next thing that is going to happen. At night he hears scary noises coming from the hall way and he cant open his door at night because the say its safer if they lock him in.Time passes and the erg of the vacation turns into the erg to leaving. He thinks he cant escape until one day he meets a kid which tells him that twisted tree lodge is hunted and that if the don't leave they will become hunted. Then the character makes the right choice of going with the kid or maybe the wrong choice.Read to find out. I cherished this book because it is a choose your own adventure and also a fiction horror book. I like it but I sure do not now if you will like it.If I were you I would go find the book right know.Once you get it and read the first page you will know what I mean.Read it and tell your self what you think.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Treue COnfessions of Charlotte Doyle
The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle By: Avi

Charlotte Doyle is 13 years old, and she has to sail to the states to meet her family. Her relatives were supposed to meet her and sail with her on board the Seahawk, but they never turned up. She is the only young lady on board, but she soon makes friends with the captain and the crew. Later on, during the voyage, the captain murders people, and Charlotte feels it is her fault because she told the captain secrets that got them into a dilemma. The captain and the crew no longer like her because she lied and got them into trouble with each other, so she gives up being a passenger and becomes part of the crew to help with the work, and so she gets to feel what it is like to be a crewmember. How can Charlotte make it ashore when the captain and his crew are accusing her of the murder she didn't perform? Read to find out how Charlotte solves this crisis. This book was so appealing because of the scenes and explanations of them. Avi really knows how do describe the sets and scenes with emotion and feeling. This novel had a lot of good characters and settings. Whoever thought of a murder onboard a ship with a 13-year-old girl burdening it? That is why I enjoyed it as much as I did; it is so different from other books. I categorically gave it a five star. If your interested in a sea voyage murder, this is the superior book for you.

2-0 out of 5 stars Boo Hoo Birdy
i read Catherine Called Birdy and it wasn't that good because it was written in old style English.I found it hard to understand. It was written as a diary and in some entries catherine only explained a few things, in one month it was just a chapter of different feasts which were a bit boring. Also she kept going on and on about how this lady, Morwenna, was allways making her do sewing that got on my nerves after a while.i'm not sure that i will read that many more historical novels. ...
